Daily Ooo's: Wednesday August 31

I am trying to not cry.... last day of August. I don't like September or Autumn or back to school or homework and cold weather. *stomps foot* I don't :Cry:

*pulls self together* Its not like we are never going to have summer again right? And it will be sort of nice when the kids are at school and I have some time to myself. (as long as I don't feel guilty about not working more, which I need to do, but not sure how).

Andddddd........ September is going to be a fun place here at the O- a new designer tomorrow, plus new challenges... fun,fun and fun!

Dalis- where is your sister from? Has she gotten damage?
I hope that she is safe and dry as well.

I wish that everyone who is getting dried out from Irene can do so easily.
I wish the people that are saying it was just rain and wind and no big deal would realize that might be true where they are but for others have truly lost everything- including a way to get to work in many cases.
(uh-oh- better get off of the soapbox)

I know, where has August gone. The time has flown so fast. It will be Christmas before we know it.

My son and his wife and 2 year old son went camping last weekend hoping for wonderful weather but it always rains on a bank holiday in England. Still they had a good time anyway.

Chris, ohhhhhhhhhhh I can't think of cool weather. We have had three digit temps for a week now, and just getting into my car wipes me out!! I hate cold more, but this heat is pretty bad!!

and twizzle, send some of that UK rain here, please!!! I guess I need to go camping, because this SW Texas drought is wearing us thin!!! (btw, nice to meet you here!!!)

So today is Wednesday...working, working here and doing school like crazy!! Love that we are on more of a schedule so I can get more done! Isn't that funny? Add school and I'm MORE productive!! My sweet little Lillian is doing grammar with me right now...and she has that "I just woke up" look (even tho she's been up for an hour and a half!) Adorable!!

Glad to be back here again and I'm looking forward to scrapping tonight with everyone!!

Hey ladies!!

So, today was the final inspection for the house we were living in. Boy am I glad to be doe with that. It was seriously painful. The management company was awesome but the owner was very difficult. I started checking out and started to get a bit snippy. The manager ended up calling her manager out to finish it up because the owner was crazy. They used cheap pain and that was one of the biggest issues...of course we are responsible for the cheap paint issues. When I got to the house I saw all the fixes Derek did and they were horrible. He didn't sand where he used mud and didn't finish a bunch of stuff...so now we get to pay for it. Whooooo.

Afterward I came home...Addie had a fever so that was reason for us BOTH to take a nap. I had a headache from the stress too. After our nap we got a message saying...come eat at Mellow Mushroom. It just opened here on Monday so we were not saying no to that...sick kids or not...yummy pizza trumped any issues. I had never heard of that place before but everyone else was so excited about it so we were too. Totally worth it. Super yummy!! Dave was off shooting stuff so couldn't come and play so Derek packed up our leftovers for him and now he's hanging out eating pizza too.

Alrighty...I have to go troll the gallery for a great liftable template. Like that will be hard.

Chris - So sorry summer is leaving you. I am going to figure out a way to bottle sunshine for you. No feeling guilty about not working or doing you stuff when the kids go to school. Enjoy yourself and do something for you. HUgs!!

Twizzle - Welcome to the O. Britain sounds a lot like Washington State. It ALWAYS rains when we go camping.

Sally - school = crazy schedules for you doesn't it? Remember to slow down a little bit. Try not to over plan your days like we all know you like to do. It is sooooooo awesome to see you in here.

Meg - I hope work wasn't excruciating. I know how much you love it. LOL!!
