Ack!!! How crazy that the kids are back to school today?? I can't get over that it is the last day of August and that I have *two* kids in college. Caitlyn and I were just talking about how the start of the school year automatically put us in the Mental Autumn Mode and how it robs us of 3 weeks of summer. I am not ready to give that up yet, but everything around us is pumpkin flavored. Sheesh!!!

Long day yesterday and wow, my pain/fatigue levels were off the charts. We printed out a copy of all of the info for her LLMD of the past several months of her medical issues. One good thing is that she doing well in regards to Lyme. we are working on building her immune system up and treating her anxiety. She had come off Zoloft in June, but has noticed that the anxiety is coming back. After bouncing around several different options and feeling about it, he is putting her on a very low dose of Zoloft again, to help her with the transition to college.

So that was all good.

I also brought the blood work from her mono test and it looks like she might have actually had a reactivated case of it. He was looking at the numbers/results and the Mono Screen was Positive. Then the EBV tests showed and old infection, which we knew, then an Early Antigen Test was High and that means reactivated. Why am I able to read lab results better than my GP? Gah!!!

Today is getting the kids off to school, I wonder if I should put I love you notes in their backpacks? :D
Then off to work and Gary is making his amazing Penna and Vodka for dinner. Mmm!!!!!

Got to get Jaida outside, and will come back to check in on you in a bit ::grouphug

good morning - Chris after reading all the Lyme problems I am grateful to be able to say that my physical went really well. All my blood lab results were exactly where they were supposed to be in fact my cholesterol is 162 so that is awesome! My blood pressure meds are keeping my blood pressure well under control so that is really good. I could of course lose some weight but I like to eat LOL. My DH's rib is doing so much better that he walked the dog yesterday and this morning so my son and I are back on our CIZE exercise routine so that is good too. I have a busy day - Luther to the dog wash, laundry, grocery shopping for a few things, and then this evening I am attending a football draft party for fantasy football. I have no idea so I may just let the computer do my picks LOL but it is fun. Tomorrow I am off to the US Open tennis we have to leave early to get Luther to his doggie day care and then to catch the train and subway to the Open.

Chris of course you can read the labs because you take the time. Glad the appt for Cait went well. I can't believe that school starts before Labor Day. Good luck to the kids! I like the idea of love notes.

Trudy congrats on the Anna's team selection. You will do a great job! You certainly have the photos from the visit of all the grands so I look forward to all your new pages. I will love the inspiration.

Rae hope work is going well and enjoying your time with Ava and Taz.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning ladies... up early this morning and woke up to a bit of rain. Hoping that they will lift the campfire ban soon so DH and I can roast some hot dogs for dinner one night. We are heading out this weekend to go see DS's new home and will spend a night there. I am looking forward to seeing Isaac and Sadie again. It would be perfect if only DD and her family were also that close! Today I am was supposed to go for my hike, but with the rain and now having to wait for the repair guy to come and look at my wall oven, it looks like I am stuck at home again today. Oh well a good opportunity to get some challenge pages done.

Chris - That is too funny that you can read lab results better than your GP!! Makes you wonder doesn't it?? Wow I can't believe that both of your kids are back at school already!! Both in college my goodness, where have the years gone? It really does make it feel like summer is officially over, but hopefully we will have some more summer weather to enjoy! This morning when I got up it was semi dark, ugh! I hate when the days get so short! I think that Cait will find that college is so much more fun than high school, hopefully no more anxiety and no worries about kids acting like idiots and bullying, just serious school work and enjoyment of each others company! Glad to hear that Cait's lyme appt went well, hopefully she will be off the Zoloft for good! A new chapter in all of your lives, the kids are grown up and your hubby is cooking dinner... life is good!!

Nancy - WTG on your awesome checkup at the dr's yesterday! I hate when they tell you that you could lose some weight, do they know how hard it is to try to take off weight at our age?? I am like you and love my food too, life is to short to have to eat diet food for the rest of your life! You get so much exercise that I have a hard time believing that you could possibly have a weight issue! Sounds like you have a busy day a head of you today, nice that your DH is feeling better and was able to take Luther for his walk this morning! Have fun at your fantasy football party and enjoy the tennis tomorrow too!!

Kat - Ouch on the knee troubles!! Hope that you can get it taken care of very soon! Glad to hear that you are in a better place now, some time away is always a good thing! Take care of yourself and don't work so darn hard LOL! Looking forward to seeing your pages again!

Rae - Hope that you got through purging! I need to do the same soon! I have so many more summer clothes than fall/winter, so I might need to go clothes shopping again soon also. What wonderful news about Bailey!! Sounds like things are looking good for her! You have helped her so much and your hard work is paying off in spades! You must be so proud of her! She will love the gift I just know it!

Thanks for the encouragement with my Anna guest stint! I hope that it will work out for me and won't be too much for me to handle, Anna seems like such a lovely person and I know that I will love being on such a great team! Ladies let me know if there is a special gadget or piece of equipment that you can't live without for your scrapping and I can perhaps write about it on the Anna Blog any ideas would be most helpful! Well I better hit the shower and get dressed before the repair guy calls, wish me luck that its only a burnt out fuse or element and that I don't have to purchase a whole new oven!!! :hurt: I don't want to have to go shopping for a new oven!!! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!!

Morning ladies - well, morning for another 10 minutes or so! Where did the morning go ... come to think of it, what's with it being September tomorrow?! How the heck did THAT happen?! Chris, I feel ya on the everything-pumpkin ... drinks, cookies ... it's everywhere! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a spicy pumpkin soup in the fall and winter, but Lord, it's 90+ degrees today. There's just something wrong with this picture! Don't even get me started on all the Halloween stuff that I'm seeing, too (although I bet your DH is super excited about that part ;) )

Nancy, you're going to the Open?! Lucky you! Do you have tickets for a particular game or court? I would love to go, especially now that they have the new roof on the main court.

Rae, I did a big clothing purge a few months ago. At my now not-so-new job, everything is pretty casual (like I can wear workout clothes!), so all my fancier skirt and pant suits were just going to waste. I ended up donating more than two trash bags full of clothes to the Salvation Army. Feels kinda nice, actually, to look in my closet and know that what's there 1. fits me! (LOL always a good thing ;) ), and 2. I will actually wear it.

Trudy, good luck with the repair man. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's just a simple repair and that you don't need to start shopping for a new oven. I'm sure you will ROCK the AA guest spot!

Today's a better day with my knee - yay! I can walk! :bliss: I was trying to explain to Bill how it felt yesterday, and the best I could come up with was you know that feeling when you jam your finger in a door and it swells up so much that you can move/bend it? That's what my knee felt like, except that there was no swelling on the outside - it was all internal. Good news is that I'll be back to my regular schedule and workouts tomorrow morning and then working towards where I need to be for surgery (looks like 20-25lbs loss will do it). Nancy, you mentioned CIZE - is that the Beachbody workout? I have that, too! I don't do it too often ... I'm doing the 21 Day Fix workouts right now (well, the Extreme versions most of the time).

Good morning, ladies. A quick hello from me. I have to get some work done and then we're off to walk Ava soon. Had a wonderful family visit yesterday and Bailey loved the framed art journal page and says that it will help her when she is feeling stressed and down, it will remind her that she can overcome these feelings and move forward. I have 7 bags for the charity so that feels really good. Everything in my dressers and closets fits and no more digging through stuff trying to figure out what size it is and how it fits. The girls were happy b/c they took home a few things too. They were laughing, saying it was like shopping at a little boutique LOL. There were piles of clothes on the counter and table and in a big bin for them to browse through.

Kat - glad to hear the knee is feeling better today.

Chris - hope you have a better day today, you're due for a good one.

Nancy - have a great time!

Trudy - fingers crossed the oven is something fixable and not too expensive.

Gotta go, ladies. Busy day (but good news is that next week is looking really light work-wise,yay for a break). Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Hi everyone, taking a quick break before I move on to the next things... I am going to catch up from yesterday and today's posts I will deal with tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day :D

nancy! Holy COW! 96 pages?? You are a mad woman! I hope that you find some really amazing deals of books but they will be worth it. Would you break them into several smaller books? If not the single pages in a binder will look just as awesome.
what a mush that Luther is with you! I ask J if she wants to walk and she tears around the house but won't let me catch her. She is walking a bit better/longer and I now have to add in some jogging as well as walking. I must really love that pup- cuz I run for no one!

Trudy!!!!! Look at the new Avi and Guest spot!!!! That is wonderful! Congrats hon! That is better news than about the oven, bah humbug! Hope that isn't too big of a fix.

Kat- sooo good to see ya stop in, I hope that you stay!!! You'd better! In all seriousness, I am very happy to hear that you are in abetter place and that you took care of yourself and gave yourself time to regroup.
MIL gets some lubricant in her knees, my dad gets the same in his shoulder (bursitis) and that seems to help them both more than the cortisone. I wish I knew what the name is, that might be something to try until you get the replacement/ And what does a partial replacement entail? I have always heard knee replacements are harder than hips (dad had that). I can tell you how a dog gets a new cap/joint- I am practically an expert on that heh!!!

Rae- good for you with decluttering. i brought 5 boxes of stuff from the attic to my moms/ She is having a garage sale in a few weeks- told her that whatever doesn't sell- leave it at the curb. I have plenty more in the attic, but even a start of 5 boxes made me breathe a tiny bit easier.
:high5: to Bailey! That job sounds so good for her. And you too-- for giving her so much encouragement.

Hugs!!!
