Good morning and a happy Wednesday!
Today feels like Fall for a lot of reasons. Yesterday was so cold and rainy. Today, Caitlyn goes back to school. Leah's mom asked me about going Apple Picking this weekend.
Where did summer go? :gaah:

We had a fun time out and about yesterday. We went to lunch at a Kosher Deli. I had french toast made with Challah bread which was really good. Then we went to the bakery which was quite an experience. You get to go into the back part of the bakery where the bread is made. There are conveyor belts with the baked breads and bagels coming off of them and the workers are rolling out carts of hot bread. It smelled amazing!! (My stomach is grumbling just thinking about it!) You grab a paper bag and walk around and get to pick the breads you want. I got some warm bagels, NY style pretzels, and Italian bread. Then we went into the pastry part of the bakery and got some of their famous crumb cake and almond horns.

We ended up having scrambled eggs and bagels for dinner. :D

Today I am going to try to start the last LO for the MoS Challenge- it is going to be difficult, I don't even have an idea of where to begin. Then I am cleaning for my neighbor and if everything works out, ice cream with BFFATS with her DD, it has been a back to school tradition since they were in Preschool together. We have skipped years, especially when they were in HS, but we still try when we can.

Still sending good thoughts to TX and LA. Sharon, I hope that you and your family are ok.

xoxo!

Oh, Trudy! So sorry that you didn't get to spend the day at home, but what a great attitude about knowing that you will have plenty of time home in the winter.
Ugh!!!! That is horrible about the prices on the flights at Christmas. Maybe some sort of deal will come out in the meantime?? I hope so.
Yeah, that little guy of mine isn't so little. Time really flies. Good luck with the MoS challenges- I bet you will come up with some amazing LOs.

Nancy- must have been a French toast kind of day :) I had been craving that from the night before when Caitlyn was cooking some at 10 pm. I woke up smelling it and wasn't able to get that out of my head. I was happy to see it on the menu at the deli. hah!!
I can't get the images of Houston and that area of out my head. It is incomprehensible. :(

Rae- you had a cram packed day yesterday, you must have been exhausted by the end of it. Did you get everything done that you needed to?
48 lbs!! You rock!!! That is amazing! Good job with the clothing deals too.

Bwuahahah!!! Jean- Buttons aren't a requirement so NO buttons on my page!! :pound:
I hope that you had a nice day- did you make it food shopping? If I had a choice, I would never food shop or cook again. Personal chef, please!

Trudy- 30 lbs is a so incredible too! Good for you!!!! :cheer2:
My parents are finally updating their wills and they asked my brother and me about their lake house. We are planning on keeping it. It is almost completely paid for and the sale of their other house would pay for taxes and fees for a while. My kids love it there and I know Scott and Leah have talked about bringing their future kids there. Christopher loves the place too. It is hard to think about it otherwise.

Better get going!
love and hugs to everyone!!!

Morning ladies... I woke up this morning wondering WTH I am going to do for the last challenge at MOS?? Do I obsess too much? NAH not me :becky: I have never used that many embellishments on anything and where to start? LOL ok let go and just get started on it!! Right?? Yesterday was very nice visiting with my niece and her kids, my brother and SIL. It was a tearful goodbye, so not fair that she lives so far away!! I mean my DD lives far away, but at least its not Australia!!

Chris - That Deli you went to sounds amazing!! I adore the smell of freshly baked bread, I always think that is what Heaven must smell like LOL. Sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you, so nice that you are meeting up with your BFAT and her DD! Yummy ice cream too! I have been thinking of purchasing an Ice Cream Maker so I can make some Keto friendly ice cream. The laws must be so different in the States for inheriting property, here you can't just will a property to anyone without them having to pay Capital Gains which would be huge!! So many other rules too, like it would have to be our principal residence :gaah: so not fair, we just want it to stay in the family, not live there permanently!!

Alright I am in need of a cup of coffee and then I will get started with this last page! It has been fun doing this, but I will be glad to be done! Anyway I hope you all have wonderful day!! I finally am staying home all day today. I could be out hiking with my group, but I really need to stay home for a change!

good morning - today is a fall day with bright blue skies and cool temps and low humidity. Got Luther out yesterday before rain and today we were out early. It is gorgeous but a tad chilly for late Aug. Watched tennis last night and Roger had a hard time defeating a 19 year old American Taifoe. Rained out most of the tennis matches except those that could be played under roof. Nadal complained about noise and makes me laugh as this is a sporting event and people get excited and yell. I would have figured that by now most would have learned to tune out the noise. Watching the Vuelta bike race on this new channel the Olympic Channel so that is fun. Spain's landscape is so different from French landscape so fun to see. Continuing to finish up a book of my trip to Charleston. The Yankees play a double header because of yesterday's rain out. Lots of fun sports. And my Devils open training camp on Sept 14 so not far off now and my team has made some changes so it should be a fun year watching the young player mature. I don't expect them to be great but I do expect them to try. And best of all Outlander season 3 starts on Sept 10. It has been a Doughtlander indeed.

Chris sounds like an awesome day. A day full of good food is never bad. I think my girlfriend who invited us to Charleston was thinking we would do lunch at our Cottage but with all the good restaurants we ate most lunches and dinners out. Good luck to Cait on her first day. My DH's school does not start until after Labor Day so he still is working to find teachers for all the classes. Good luck with the last page for the contest.

Trudy can't wait to hear how your day went. Fun to be busy during the summer. That is too bad about the property not staying in the family. Good luck with the final pages and I saw what you post on Facebook and they are lovely! Oh an congrats on the weight loss!

Rae you are such a busy and organized woman. You have such luck shopping. My niece can do that too. She is always finding something awesome. Have fun with Jen!

Jean I am hoping the Yankees do well and love your evil grin. Your team is doing so well again. Good luck to them!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Dropped Taz off at daycare and came home to get my last page done for MOS. Whew....done. I had my idea almost right away when the challenge came out but wasn't quite sure how I was going to execute it. I'm not a really abstract kind of scrapper so not sure if my entry really embraces the style but it's the best I could do. I don't think I've ever used so many brushes on one page LOL.

So....I'll come back later and read thru the posts but I'd better grab a coffee and get some work done til lunchtime, then I'll pop back here to read up on everyone's posts.

Have a great day, everyone.

Happy to see sun today and need to get outside.

Chris hope you do well with your busy day and have a good ice cream treat with BFFATS. And no buttons!!

Trudy, I think you must be right about the US having different laws on inheritance. At last, something more friendly here maybe. Hope you finally get to enjoy a day at home.

Nancy, you know what I'm hoping for the baseball. Did you see Madison Keys win at the US Open? Thought she was going to fritter it away, but finally held on. Their coaches were special to see - Kim Clijsters and Lindsay Davenport. Lindsay was always one of my favorite players.

Rae, congrats on finishing MoS layouts. I know you are slaving away on work now.

Wishing everyone well.

It's been busy today with work but wanted to pop back in for a minute. Jen is coming by in a few hours for a quick tea. Her passport came today so she can come out to the trailer Sat afternoon for the rest of the wkend. She is so happy and so are we, it wouldn't seem right to be out there without her for Gala weekend (what the ranch calls the Labor Day wkend celebration).

Chris - hope you get to go for ice cream this afternoon. Enjoy it!

Trudy - I saw your MOS page, it's gorgeous!

Nancy - I'm behind on Outlander and need to catch up. Thx for the reminder.

Jean - enjoy getting outdoors.

Ok, I'm getting back to work now for the afternoon. Talk to you all later.
