Not looking at the date, nope no way, no how, nev-aaaar!!!

Isn't it bad enough that I have to take my baby-girl to High School Orientation today? Its so unfair, on so many levels! They don't start back until next Thurs but she is already upset with her schedule. It turns out that a few of the bullies she had issues with last year are in her gym class. I am going to approach a class witch fromt he perspective that it will be in the best interests of the HIB (bullying) law. NJ has the strictest school anti-bullying law in the country (Its so strict, even our Governor can't pass it .... *drumroll.... bah dum bump*....... apologies to all for my bad joke...)
and it will make everyone's lives easier-- esp. the teachers/admins if this gets nipped in the bud.

Today I am going to be running all around town doing as much of my errands as I can. After that, I am either going to hit the lake for an hour or do some yard work-- thinking the yard needs a bit of help, even though it would be nicer to sit on my butt at the lake.

WWW
I wish I had a personal chef, how cool would that be?
I want to have the kids eat what I cook with no complaints since I am *their* personal chef (bah humbug!)
I want to get my to-do list DONE!!!

Quickie personals to my peeeeeeeeeeeps. (Just for you Phyllis and Trudy!!! :pound:)

Looks like I mostly caught up when I posted yesterday--

Phyllis- wow, that LO is stunning!! Love your play on the lyrics. I am willing to sacrifice sleep int he morning to get my coffee and shower before the kids get up and all hell breaks loose. But 3 am, nope, not happy about being up at that hour at all....

Trudy- ugh ugh ugh-- I am with P-- wouldn't it be nice to just walk out!!

Linda S-- I wish I had a boss like you way back when when I was still teaching. I had a boss who hated me and I ended up having to leave the school b/c of her. But there was no talking to that woman. But if more people were like you, work in general would be a much better place!

Clara-- good luck with your coffee stand!

Anyone in the south-- good thoughts if you are being affected by Irene.

(((((((((((hugs!!!!))))))))))

Good morning all. Chris, glad that you are going to be an advocate for Cait. Nothing worse than being bullied in gym class!

Phylis, I agree with Chris...the layout is stunning!!!

Homework was better last night...we only spent an hour total. Good thing too because Sydney had soccer practice so we didn't have as much time. Wednesday nights are low on homework so I bet that Shaun has time to get to swim practice tonight. Which means that Syd can read and practice spelling while we are there and it should all be good. :-)

Anyone else around here needing a 3 day weekend? I am soooo looking forward to it. A weekend of mainly just kicking back and relaxing. Woot Woot!

Hi there ! :)

Chris - Hope you can indeed nip that bullying thing in the bud. It can be so difficult for the kids otherwise. good luck with that !
About our baby girls getting big well ... yeah ... I'm trying no to think about it to much LOL seing the wrinkles on my face in the morning and the evening is depressing enough ;)

Linda - good thing about the homework being easier yesterday. Hope it stays this way ;)

So it's wednesday but it's friday for me  : the daycare center decided to close this evening until next tuesday to prepare schools for the new schollyear (it takes place inside the schools) so I have to stay at home with the kids ... no choice ... poor me LOL a 5 days long week-end upcoming :D

Chris, i vote for an entire day at the lake. pull a few weeds before you go, then forget about it!

Linda :faint2: you're a girl who could use a 3-day weekend!!

going to my sister's house this morning ( 1 hour drive) to see her totem pole. yup. totem pole. she decided to make one out of the trunk of a big tree in her yard after seeing the totem poles on her trip to the Pacific Northwest. she and her husband take on the strangest projects. at least strange to me. i'm trying to imagine my husband deciding to make a totem pole in the backyard.

:suspicious::flypig:...um...nope. can't imagine it.

have a great OTHD. do something you love. even if it's making a totem pole.

...uuuhhmmm Chris....your WWW's....I want a chef too...I was pretty much done with the personal chef thing...Mike was to the point where he was happy just to have something fixed for him :hurt: but then BAM...I have two kids full time again and another one of those danm DEJAVU things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UUGGHH!! I should not complain because they are both very good eaters and eat a pretty good variety....I had my first encounter with resistance from Jesse last week....I made sloppy joes...which it had been a good long while since I had fixed them...Jesse didn't remember them...I put them on the plate...he started eating..thinking he had a hamburger there...when he picked it up he proclaimed very loudly "WHAT??? I.....AM......NOT......EATING THIS. THAT IS GROSS AND I WON'T EAT IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME SOMETHING ELSE" ....uhm...WTH???:-o NANA DOESN'T DO ATTITUDE!!!!!:laser: I very firmly, but quietly, reminded him who was the cook in the house, and if he chose not to eat, then he would just go to bed hungry....he cleaned up everything else on his plate and later asked for something else....NOPE...he didn't get anything...his plate sat on the table until he was asleep!!! :whoo::whoo: got my point across!! and speaking of Jesse.....I just posted a photo on Facebook.....yesterday he pulls out a toy from his pocket as he got off the bus....UUGGHH...he has a little problem with taking things....SOOOOO in the house we came, a good lecture, grounded for the afternoon..no going out to play....then I wrote out the words I AM SORRY. 5 times on the LEARNING TO WRITE kind of paper....he only writes his name so far...so I wrote it out and he traced it...then he actually did give a good attempt to write it on the last line by himself. He had to take the paper and the toy back to his teacher this morning....

Might not seem like a big deal...but his.... hmmm...thinking of a word here.....hhmmm...WE WILL CALL HIM SPERM DONOR...Yes.....his sperm donor is a habitual thief (he has stolen from me before)...and I am pretty sure he has had Jesse steal things in stores before. So even though they are tiny things now...I don't want him falling in that pattern!!!!

I feel very lazy today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I wasn't suppose to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...enough sobbing.....I do love my littles!!!! I get more and more attached to them everyday...I cringe at the thought of them going back to their Mom....even if she straightened herself out enough to care for them, she would never be able to give them any sort of life they deserve.

POWER TO THE NANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
