GoooOd mOrning! How are all of the Ooos today? I hope everyone is doing awesome. I am feeling a little stressed around the edges, so you know what that means? Rolling pandas!
Whenever I get stressed, watching pandas rolling around is such good medicine. There is something so ridiculously carefree about them and that rubs away any yucky feelings. I was watching a few video clips on Twitter this morning and had to share. And here I goooo! ~~~>>>>:rotfl:

Last night was almost a bridal meltdown but I think we averted the worst of it. Cait was worried about the rehearsal itself since it is here and we are winging it. I did not understand what she was mainly concerned with and made things worse. I think we have the broad plans for that taken care of and I told her that we will keep practicing until she thinks it is the way she wants and is comfortable with the flow. She has the order of the processional set and the steps of the ceremony itself. I'm not sure what else to do-- is there anything you think I am missing?

I think I slept better last night - up at 4 again though. grrr. It was another day of this and that and then some so I feel like I should be out cold. I finished the last lesson plan for the third week of Homeschool so I am where I wanted to be. I emailed my hours to Laney (the Program Director) and she said that she loved the plans I was doing.
I had to spend some time outside and had fun chatting with a praying mantis that was in my lilies. He was a good size too. The monarch caterpillar has been growing so much since I first saw him a week ago. I hope that this one makes it unlike the last one, poor guy. I was LMBO watching him yesterday, he was chewing through the leaf and his antennae were twitching like mad. Then I was laughing at the bumblebees on the phlox. The bees are huge and the flowers are delicate so every time they landed on one, they flipped upside down.

I guess the theme of this post is that nature makes me happy. (surprise!! who is shocked by that? LOL!)

I have to pick up my groceries this morning and then keep on working around the house. Banking. Color Play LOs. Paint the spackle spots in he DR/LR area.
Collapse?
Nope. No time for that.

Yoga. I have to make some time for deep breathing, I can feel myself breathing way to shallowly ATM.

Back to rolling pandas, I think! Haha!

Love and hugs!

@BrightEyes Good luck with the Covid shot today, all fingers crossed for no bad reaction. And that is for you and me both ;) I know we usually get similar reactions to it.
Glad that you are sleeping better and that the photo scanning and printing are going well!

@AK_Tracy Please take it as easy as you can since it seems like your body is starting to rebel.

@bcgal00 Remi is such a good girl! I know it has to be hard on all of you keeping her calm and confined but you trained her so well. Once J was cleared for regular activity, instead of throwing the balls to her or using the Nerf gun, we would roll it on the floor, let it bounce off the wall and she would chase it around. The bouncing gives her a bit of unpredictability and she seems to have fun with it. J is also not as active as Remi is so YMMV... but its a thought.

It's adorable you are such an amazing MOB
I sure didn't feel like that last night when it looked like Caitlyn was going to burst into tears because we were talking past each other :(
Ughhhhhhh-- that's utterly awful about a Long Hauler. So much about Long Covid sounds the same as chronic Lyme. Which makes sense as it is infecting and inflaming your brain. The brain fog with Lyme is brutal and scary so I understand how you must have felt, especially when it feels like you will never get better.
I don't want to think about what my oven's exhaust fan cover looks like -- good for you and DH cleaning yours together.

Funny (not really) story about my nice clean oven... Last night I made broccoli pasta with chick'n and chicken. I cooked the chicken first and put it in the oven on Warm. Cleaned everything to there was no contamination. Cooked the chick'n strips and put them on a tray to stay warm too. When I was putting them in the oven, the tray tipped and they went all over the inside of the oven. Th good news was that the oven was clean so I scooped the chick;n strips back onto the tray. The bad news is that now my clean oven is full of fake chicken crumbs. Booooooooo :sad1:

Just popping in to say hi! I miss being here and feel like I've been gone DAYS and DAYS not just hours.
Haha!! You are so funny :p
Two more sleeps until the color play releases!

Gurllllll, leave me out of the Ms. Cleans. I'm lucky to keep things picked up and the furniture dusted. I used to be "Physcho Housecleaner" - that's what my kids called me. Along with that, "Physcho Painter" - they never knew what color the two story entry foyer would be when they came home from school. One time, I painted it chocolate brown, then quickly tired of that and painted it powder blue.
:rotfl:
Me thinks me needs to get another house cleaner. I miss having my house cleaned - she used to do things that I don't like to do.
I think so too. I am still upset for you about Casey ditching. :(

@vickyday I hope that you get tot see the movie that you wanted to. I hope that you have a nice day home today and that your car repair won't be too $$

Tracy- I might need to try the vacuum on the oven LOL!

Good very early (for me) morning! We are up and enjoying our cup of coffee before finishing off packing for our trip to Vancouver. Shouldn't take to long to pack as its just one night. Looking forward to the concert tonight, but sad that SIL Linda is not able to join us. We are meeting her on again off again boyfriend Mark and his daughter at the concert and will be sitting together with them. So we have been lucky and have averted getting Covid! FIL is much better but still testing positive and MIL is still very ill and testing positive also. We are staying away!!! SIL Linda isn't feeling too bad, so she will be able to help them out should they need it. We are still pretty pissed off at them for going so many places when they knew dam well they were sick! Anyway I better get a move on and get packed, dressed and ready to go! I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we are well and hope that you all have lovely day! I will catch up with you in a couple of days! :bye2:

Morning, all. I was sleepy when I turned the light off at 9PM but it took almost an hour to actually fall asleep. I kept working on uncurling the photos in my mind... ugh!!! I finished DD#2's album in early afternoon, Then I did the title page for DS#2's title page.

IMG_3417-small.jpg IMG_3411 small.jpg IMG_3409-small.jpg

The last photo is the pages for his album with all the professional photos laid out in the order they will go into the album... once I get the photos uncurled a bit and attached to each page. That is a full afternoon's work! Not to mention that I still have to sort the photos we took and put them in the photo sleeve pages. Have a feeling that I won't feel up to working on them after I get my Covid shot today. I have the pages nicely stacked in order and they will have to wait until I recover. I will schedule the flu shot once I am over getting the Covid one. DD#1's album will have to wait until some time in September - after I work on some of the new Sept Challenges. Hope I am up to working on a Color Play LO today...

Have a couple of things to get done before I head to the pharmacy. Hope you all have a good day.

Rolling pandas!
That was hysterical, thank you. Loved the ones where they got wedged in with their butts up in the air. That would definitely
I'm not sure what else to do
I have no experience, but I would suggest a little more fluidity maybe? I've been to weddings where everything was so structured, if one piece didn't go as planned they fall apart. I don't know Cait so I shouldn't even be responding, but I hope she can keep in mind that people are there out of love and not to score how perfectly everything goes and that Cait can ride that wave of love and enjoy it and realize not everything needs to be perfect, just soak up the love, and the memories.
Paint the spackle spots in he DR/LR area.
I ready this as paint the 'sparkle' spots in the DR/LR and I thought "Yaaasssssssss, girlfriend!!!", spackle is not as exciting.
Tracy- I might need to try the vacuum on the oven LOL!
Been there, done that, it works.

I'm so glad you are staying healthy and can go and enjoy your quick adventure and the concert. I bet it will be fabulous. Honestly, the pissed part may never go away completely. The difference for me was they flat out didn't care, about me getting sick or how many people he exposed where they live, at multiple places in the metro, and 3 days at the Y in LaCrosse. They didn't do anything wrong because I should have stayed home if I didn't want to get sick, & had I known, I would have. With the number of deaths in the elderly, I would have thought in your case they would have been more careful. I don't get people, I prefer rolling pandas.

Gray and cloudy here today, the pandas got me in gear, so I'm going to get dressed and start a layout. Hubs went to Rochester for a haircut ( said he'll NEVER have his sister cut it again even tho it was free he's that pissed). His new glasses are in so he'll go pick those up too and a prescription at the grocery store. Today was my gym day, but he couldn't go for the glasses tomorrow, so I told him I'd skip so he could have the car today. I would have been back by the time he was ready to go, but even though it's only 20 miles, we don't like to do it twice in one day. Have a lovely day ladies. More coffee and clothes time.

Good Morning,
The car is in the shop so I am home today and praying the repairs are minimal! One price is $400 while another price is $1,000 depending on what he finds! YIKES!!! Oh well! It is what it is! We can't afford a new car payment, so $1,000 will have to do if that is what it takes!
I'm still working on catching up on my daily ATC's. I'm getting there!
Other than that, not doing much today. I changed from my gown into lounging clothes for the day until I need to shower for church later today. I'll have to do that before Mark gets off as we will either be picking up our car from the shop (hopefully) or going to his daughter's to borrow a car from her till we get ours back, so I need to be ready for church as we will quickly run out of time by the time we get back!
My stomach is growling, so I need to do personals and then get something cooking.
HAGD!

I seem to have fallen under the spell of the O or maybe it's hanging around with all of you, but I started a layout yesterday morning and at 1:30 found myself with a finished layout and I was still in my jammies and bathrobe.
I think this is a couple of days old, LOL! I must've forgotten to respond! Anyway.....it is easy to fall under the spell of the O! Plus, it's not so bad to hang around with all of us, right? And ending up spending the day working on a LO in your jammies is par for the course, too! ;)
I always tell people he's concrete sequential and I'm about as abstract random as they come.
Yeah, that sounds like Mark and I, too!
it just doesn't trip our fun meter anymore.
Ain't it the truth?
No plans for today, other than maybe to get dressed
Why bother? Who's there to impress by getting dressed, LOL?! ;)
There is something so ridiculously carefree about them and that rubs away any yucky feelings.
Yes, I love watching pandas play!
I emailed my hours to Laney
So, do you get to count the hours you spend on creating your lessons? I hope so!
I guess the theme of this post is that nature makes me happy.
Made me think of the song we sing at church:
This is My Father's World
1. This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas--
His hand the wonders wrought.

2. This is my Father's world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

3. This is my Father's world:
O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King: let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let earth be glad!
Collapse?
No! Save it for bed time! Maybe you will sleep all night!
I hope that you get tot see the movie that you wanted to. I hope that you have a nice day home today and that your car repair won't be too $$
We are looking into going to a cinema about 45 minutes away.
Thank you! I am praying the car repairs are $400 vs $1,000!
we are well
So glad to hear!
I will catch up with you in a couple of days!
Have a great time in Vancouver!
I kept working on uncurling the photos in my mind... ugh!!!
Don't you hate it when that happens, Kay? I have that problem a lot when your mind just won't shut off!

End of summer hot day -- I'm staying in the AC but David insists that weeds need pulling and grass needs mowing. I'll go outside to lasso him in by noon. He certainly has more energy than I do in hot weather.

I spent a couple hours figuring out how to get from airport to hotel to cruise ship to hotel to airport when we are in Europe in October. I don't like cruise ship transfer services because they inevitably require sitting around hotel lobbies for hours; who wants to waste that time in a city you'll probably never be in again? There seems to be good bus or metro options in both Lisbon and Barcelona, so I'm sure it will work out. Although I am beginning to wonder if I can pack for the 2 week trip in a roller bag instead of a full size suitcase, just to make getting on and off buses easier. There is a laundry on the ship, so maybe. I have to discipline myself to not bring all kinds of clothes "just in case I want it."

Yesterday's weather stirred up some really ugly storms last night in the Twin Cities, it missed us completely, but hammered the State Fair.
That's awful! Especially for those vendors who, I'm sure, are counting on good profits from the days at the fair. My son-in-law's family ran a bbq chicken booth at the NY State Fair for decades, and that income was really important to them. Working the fair was a rite of passage for the teenagers. My daughter even did it one year before they got married. She met Bill Clinton. (When she told me that, all I could think was "not alone, right?")

I vacuumed the oven!
OK - I am inspired. I had given up on trying to get crumbs out of the gap between the door and the inside, I never even thought of a vacuum, I'm trying this next time. Although I won't run the cleaning cycle until the weather cools down some.

I have to go look at that color play blog now that you all have raised my curiosity.

Good Morning!!!!
Body Rebel #1 checking in for duty. Yep, hips and feet are still rebelling. Shoulder muscles please release the tension so we can drop. Go watch panda rolls like Chris! This will help.

I'm not sure what else to do-- is there anything you think I am missing?
A hug, an "I understand the emotions" and a BIG glass of wine. Mostly just the hug. Tell her you dont see it the same and you see how beautiful it all is then hug her. Hold her, let her cry. Sometimes the tears need a way out for no reason. :heartpumppink: I dont think youre missing anything but the ability to read her jumbled thoughts.
I might need to try the vacuum on the oven LOL!
It works great! When cool LOL Hot crumbs are bad!!! :floorlaugh: I like it for the quick clean up. Still have to wash it now and again but not as often if you get the crumbs out.
I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that we are well and hope that you all have lovely day! I will catch up with you in a couple of days! :bye2:
Oh Trudy I am so glad youre able to go and I hope you have a most wonderful time!!! Thankful you aren't feeling yucky. Sorry Linda isn't able to go with you all. Enjoy every moment!

Wow Kay you have been on a roll! That's a lot of uncurling you have been doing. It will be wonderful when its finished. I hope you can work on it this afternoon and not feel too icky from your shot.
More coffee and clothes time.
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Oh my this. The image in my mind. NakedTwin Scrapping. Yep need more coffee!!

@vickyday I hope the car isn't the expensive fix. Its so frustrating when the cars go down. They need fixed but its expensive. Hope its quick and cheap (for a car).

@Terri M The vacuum really works well. The attachments too for getting into crevices is awesome for door crumbs. And if they're a little stuck, just scrap with the hose and poof they pop off and get sucked into the vacuum. I always just hope no one knocks on my door while I am vacuuming the oven :giggle4: Our door is glass so I can just imagine how it would look, especially if its the upper oven where they really could see :giggle4:

Okay Twin, thinking of you today! Its dental day. Thankfully just a cleaning. Have to load everyone up and off we go this afternoon. Its raining again. Has been since Saturday. So far my car roof hasn't leaked again. I dont know why or what but maybe it had a rock in the seal and when we opened it to check the seal it dislodged? Who knows. Just hoping its not leaking still since it down poured over night and hasn't let up yet. Our trees are yellowing and its cooling off. For sure in our fall, so ready for those amazing CP kits! Saw some wonderful colors and leaves.

And yes @Cherylndesigns the skeleton yesterday was for you! :heartpumppink: and yes it was me waiting for the new AJ challenges!! :floorlaugh:

Have a wonderful day!!

Well we are at our last campsite #36 and were going to have boating friends come visit but our fridge quit last night so we are headed home instead. So glad it happened a the end of the trip not middle or when we were out west where it was super hot., triple digits! Checking into it we are finding that it could be something simple....or not. It's only 3 years old so I am pretty bummed that there is a problem...but it will get fixed or replaced!!!

Have a great day everyone

Wow... that was a quick trip... I was the first one to get the Covid shot (today was the 1st day it was available there) and it only took 5 minutes from the time I arrived until it was done!!! Found out that I don't need the RSV shot this year - got it last year and it is good for 2 years). Will go ahead and set up an appointment to get the flu shot in 2 weeks... then I will be set for the winter season.

I was feeling well enough to go ahead and scrap another CP LO after I got home... :spinningchair: But... I am starting to feel a bit achy so going to take some meds and rest this afternoon.

Good afternoon,

I'm hopelessly behind as always. Time to watch those pandas roll, Chris @faerywings . I'm sure the nerves are starting to set in with all of you - that's pretty typical. You'll get through it and it will be beautiful. There are so many details and I agree with the other girls, Cait has to stop overthinking everything. I know that's easier said than done, though.

That's such good news, Kay! I'm passing on another covid shot, but will get the flu shot soon. They're in at Walgreens. Your books are stunning, and you've done so much work to be very proud of! It has truly been a Labor of Love.

Debby @BoatLady too bad about your fridge - I'm sure you're happy to be headed home. You've had quite a summer, though!

Tracy @AK_Tracy ITA on your advice for the wedding stress. Just hug it out and try to let it go.

Vicky @vickyday fingers crossed that the car fix is 400!!

Trudy @taxed4ever have a wonderful little getaway in Vancouver!

Terri @Terri M too funny about Clinton!! :coffeescreen:

Jeanne @JeanneMN looks like you're behaving yourself today................so far. :coffeescreen:

A couple of things - Daisy has been at the groomer all day. They all go together and they're all overdue and will probably look like skinned rabbits when they get done.

Also, I got Daisy's US Certification as an Emotional Support Animal today! Now, she can go anywhere with me and I have the documentation to prove it. You can still take them on a plane, but you have to pay for a seat now. Not that I fly all that much, but if I do, it would be nice. The main reason I did it is that I'm HER Emotional Support Animal. She's been a velcro dog since Chuck passed away and I don't want to have to leave her for any length of time. If I cross the room, she crosses the room. Bless her heart - it's kind of nerve wracking at times, but I know she's still a bit confused.

Oh, one more thing. I'm having prescriptions delivered today! Every time I use the Walgreen's app to refill, they offer delivery. Yes, WAY out here - I couldn't believe it! They're supposed to arrive any minute, and the courier will have to call me to see where I want them delivered. For those of you who know we live "in the middle of nowhere" I'm going to try to see if they'll put them in the mailbox. If they can't do that because of USPS rules, we have a red box down at the bottom of the first road that we got for all our Amazon deliveries. As always, it will be interesting.

Well, I have to run well, not run, but you know what I mean. We have to go pick up the dogs around five, and I have a couple of things to do first.
Hugs to all and XOXO

Nice...I worked for my son for 6 years in his auto repair shop and some repairs are very expensive. Everyone complained but they should see what tools cost and equipment that is necessary to test ....oh well enough of my rant...glad it was reasonable for you.
They fixed an oil leak. What was going to hike the price would have been having to replace the timing chain (??). something like that, I think! Thank the Lord, it was fine!

YEAH Vicky! @vickyday that is wonderful that its the lesser of the two evils. Having had an oil leak fixed, its expensive. Mine was way over $400 but thankfully I had the warranty still.

@Cherylndesigns Yeah for doggie groomers and med delivery!!! Woot woot!!! I live in the middle of no where too and its fun who will and wont deliver. I love that you got Daisy and emotional support paperwork. Will be nice if you ever go anywhere and need to take her with you. I've thought about it for my dog just for flying. I would gladly pay for the seat and have her next to me rather than under the plane. I hate that I cant see them when we fly.

Oh, that's terrible to put them in the luggage compartment. I would never do that. I would gladly pay for her a seat, too!! It was pretty easy if you ever want to know what to do I can help. She's a certified Emotional Support Animal and I have the cutest little ID card with her sweet picture on it and a certificate to keep on file and a certified tag for her collar.

My prescriptions arrived - Walgreens kept in touch with me from the time the courier left the store. I got a text that "they were having trouble finding me" - DUH. Everybody does. :rotfl::floorlaugh::lol23:When Chuck was in Hospice, they used to have medications delivered at night and I felt like I needed to put solar flares out so they could find us. You don't know how many times I was on the phone with somebody (during the day) and I'd have to walk down to the top of the property to "beam them in". Funny thing is I could see them come onto the property (down below) and I'd say "look up - I'm standing out in the field". :lol23::lol23:

All the girls on here used to laugh about me putting out my flares - when Hospice used to deliver medication for Chuck late at night. It was crazy.

I literally just about had to at night. We talked about putting flares all the way up the road. When you come onto the property from the County Road, there is a big gate. You have to go through the gate and down a steep hill, then drive along a lake, then go up another hill, then make a hard left turn to get down to our house. Funny thing is I can stand outside and see people coming into the property. If I have them on the phone (during the day) I tell them to look up the hill and I'm standing there waving my arms. Then, I hurry down the road to my DD's house (which is where they have to turn, then walk them back here. It got pretty funny during all those months when people were coming here every day. Once they came once, they figured it out.

@Cherylndesigns I literally just about had to at night.

@AK_Tracy Your life must be amazing up there. What an amazing place. My cousin lived near Anchorage for many years, my parents took their motorhome up there one summer to visit....Vast was my dad kept saying, it's so vast!

LOL this is amazing...you need to make the Yellow Brick road for them to follow. Glad you can finally get your deliveries...Yikes to far out for me.

Well we are back home after traveling for 102 days. Used 671 gallons of diesel in 11,681 miles. 36 campgrounds in16 states. No idea how many adventures we went on but it's allot!!! I took thousands of photos so I need to sort them to the ones worth keeping. We saw allot more of the beautiful US. Still unpacking and putting stuff away. 5 loads of laundry so far. The yard is so crazy overgrown but I think I will concentrate on just getting the plants out of the irrigation area and back onto the patio, the trim shrubs and vines, then weed, only had 2 plants die so that is good. I need to go to the storage area to get more out of the trailer while it is cool. Our friends are having a welcome back party for us on saturday...so nice...I love where we live now, so many friends with my Florida Sisters.

I hope you all have a sparkling day!
