Happy Wednesday! I wish this week would slow down a bit, I need more time!
Yesterday was exhausting. Dropped the pupper off at the vet, Gary's blood work seemed to take forever, then food shopping. By the time we got home and unpacked, it was noon, so I grabbed a quick lunch and started washing the wine glasses for Saturday. Our wine glasses hang over the kitchen island which is where we use the griddle and they get greasy and dusty quickly. They need a good washing before parties.

I finished a scrap page for Rae's product challenge, and I am really unhappy with it. I felt the need to post it so I could get it crossed off of my To Do List, but it isn't what I had in mind when I started. Do you ever do that? End a LO only b/c you want it done?
On a positive note, I played around with Layer Masks quite a bit which is something that I don't typically work with.

Watched the news about Mexico City (positive thoughts and prayers to Cynthia!), had dinner and picked up the Little One. She was so sad and groggy but she was happy to see us. We are leaning more and more toward keeping her. (shocker?! hah!!). We should make a decision by the end of the week since she is officially listed as Adoptable. We get first dibs but if we aren't going to keep her it isn't fair for anyone who sees her online. The org also wants her to be at any of the adoption events for people to meet her and they have one scheduled for Sunday.

Today I am cleaning for my friend and then I *have* to make the gifts for my ILs since I didn't have time to do that yesterday.

HAGD!!!!!

Super quick personals and I suck down one last cup of coffee before I have to leave.

Trudy- Whew! Good to hear that you got some rain. We have winds going like crazy from Jose but no rain. The poor Earth is just struggling and it makes me sad- the images from Puerto Rico are terrifying. And Mexico, and the wildfires.. I want to heal Her!
Jaida has reflux issues and with the Little One around we have been making sure her breakfast dish is off the floor when she is out and about. She hadn't eaten anything so threw up the yellow bile stuff. How is Mason doing? Hunter didn't get sick? *fingers crossed*

Nancy- the seats sound fantastic and you will be able to get some really good photos!
OMG. that is so horrible to hear about your DS's training class. I can't imagine, and yes, thank goodness he has you and your DIL to talk to.

felis- that is the story of my life. I always feel like I am backward. LOL

Rae- hope those oils do the trick for you.Cait has the same thing- a bit of a stuffy nose/sore throat.

jean- I am happy that it is going to be in the 80s again. Although, guess what I did the other day? Packed away most of my summer clothes. of course!

Sending peace and love to all!

Morning everyone! Looks like I will be going on our Hike today, I will pack my raincoat just in case. It is supposed to clear up by the time our hike starts though. Yesterday was a blur as I was online most of the time trying to get flights for DD, Mason and Hunter to come home in November. It is not going well and I will have to fly out there first to bring her back. Jonah can't come as it is his very busy time with work. Heather really wants everyone to meet Hunter and I think she is homesick. How can I say no?? But there are no really great connections for the flight back to Ontario for her and the cost is horrible! She and Mason would be full fair, but Hunter would be free and I would only have to pay taxes as I would be a companion for her. She has permanent disability status with the airlines so she always gets to take a companion to help her out. So we will have to talk again today sometime about all of this and see if maybe she can hold off until spring when Jonah can come too, I am so afraid that the weather will be horrible in November. I will see what she wants to do I guess. Sending prayers to those in Mexico especially Cynthia's family and of course all those in the path of Maria's wrath!

Chris - Glad that your little pup made it through her surgery ok! Poor thing, she has been through so much in her little life! I can't say that I am surprised that you are thinking of keeping her LOL. Hope that Jaida is no longer throwing up! Yes Mother Nature seems to be telling us that we are mistreating her!! Our poor planet!! What will happened to our grandkids and great grandkids I worry for them and what things will be like for their future! It's not like we have anywhere else to go to!! Mason is feeling much better now and back to school where I am sure he will bring home a new virus this week :becky: Hunter has a bit of a stuffy nose, but I think is ok. Poor little one, he has had two colds already and he is only two months old. Hope you get your gifts done today! Yes I have made a scrap page or two that I really was not happy with, but finished it off just to get the darn things done!! LOL

Nancy - Your new seats do sound awesome and it truly is wonderful that your son feels that he can talk to you about all that sadness! It sounds like he has found happiness though and seems to have it all together! Hugs  to you and your son! Sorry to hear that you are still having pain with your knees! What a lovely thing to do to give that Mother and Son your upgraded seats!! I bet they loved it! Hope you and Luther are able to get out for a nice walk this morning!

Felis - I keep forgetting that our Thanksgiving is much earlier than it is in the States. We have ours in October. It falls on the 9th this year. So no not too early to start planning.

Rae - Sorry to hear that you are getting that darn cold that is going around! Hope the oils help you out! I went shopping yesterday to Winners and found a gorgeous cowl neck pullover sweater and a new pair of Jeans to wear for the colder months, probably not as great a bargain as what you get, but they were a really good price!! And what a shocker to try on the jeans are find out that I am now 3 sizes smaller than I used to be :bliss: I tried them on for DH and thought that I could have gone a size smaller, he thought they looked a bit big on me, but I think they fit me perfect. Hope you are feeling better today!

Jean - No I have not had many free days and yesterday turned out to be another busy one, but oh well, it is what it is right? Nice that you are having such lovely warm weather! It is very chilly here in the mornings and we are already turning up the thermostat in the house, which we don't normally do until sometime in October.

We I better get the bed made, dishwasher emptied and get my pack ready for my hike, hope to get some good shots of the views when we get to the top of Cobble Hill. Have a lovely day everyone!

good morning - My Devils got bad news yesterday. One of the players, Brian Boyle, was diagnosed with MCL a form of leukemia. It is treatable and he should be able to play through the treatment but it is so sad. He had been missing and it was just that it was personal. Apparently it was found during routine medical testing at the start of training camp. I was to have Travis Zajac, Adam Henrique, and Brian Boyle as my centers for the start of the year. Travis had to have pectoral surgery so he is out and now this with Boyle. I was not a great team anyway and now this. My poor team. I can only hope the rookies come through. Tonight they play the NY Rangers in NYC so I will watch on TV. Made an awesome dinner last night, breaded rockfish fillets, with kale and mashed potatoes. Never had rockfish and it was delicious. Yesterday was so busy so today is calm. So sorry for all those effected by Maria and the earthquake.

Chris glad the puppy did so well. Your day sounds so busy and stressful. Grocery shopping is never fun! Hope today is fun making presents! Sorry the scrapping did not go as planned. Good think your can always start a new page!

Trudy so glad that you finally got the rain! We have been having lots wind and clouds with the hurricane Jose sitting off our coast. But so glad that we have not had the rain. Hope the pool and doing laps was fun! Hope blood work went well!

Rae hope your are feeling better. So glad that you have your oils and diffuser.

Jean hope the lawn got mowed before the rain! We are having summer weather with temps in the 80s. I am loving it.

felis hope day is going well.

Have a great day all!

Hi Trudy we crossed posted. Sorry about the flights costing so much. Seems it might be easier to come in the spring when Hunter is a bit older. I bet she does want to show him off! Hope you figure it all out!

Good morning, ladies. Dropped Taz off at daycare and got a load of laundry going. Got my diffuser going with immune boosting oils and it does seem to be helping. My throat doesn't hurt anymore and my stuffy nose, achy bones and headache are somewhat better today. I ordered some dryer hedgehogs (dryer balls) and they were delivered yesterday. Put them in the dryer last night with my bedding and they seemed to come out a bit fluffier and softer than they usually do. I'm doing a load of towels now and I'll see how they come out. They are supposed to speed up drying time by 30% too. I did notice that the load seemed to dry faster than usual. They didn't cost much so it's worth it to try them out.

I need to pop over to the drugstore later and pick up a water pic. When the last one broke I picked up a different type and am not happy with it. It shoots 3 bursts of water with air and it takes forever to do my whole mouth with it, the water pic is so much faster and more thorough. So that was a huge waste of money.

Today I'll do some desk work, maybe scrap a challenge page and catch up on General Hospital. I like to watch that on my laptop as I scrap. I've been watching that show since I was a teen.

Chris - I saw your page and it's lovely. But I know what you mean, sometimes a page just doesn't come together quite the way you want it to, I think that happens to all of us. Glad the pup got thru her day ok and is back with you. She must be thriving with all the love from your family. Hope you get the cleaning done quickly and then you can work on the gift. You always get things done so I'm sure this will all get done.

Trudy - hope you get all the travel plans worked out for your family. Yay for being 3 sizes smaller! It feels good doesn't it? Glad you found a deal with clothes.

Nancy - sad to hear the diagnosis of leukemia but thankfully is treatable. That is so scary. Enjoy the game tonight. I've never had rockfish, never heard of it. You are being introduced to so many different foods!

I'm getting to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

Today we had arrangement with the men from the window company. They was told us that will come at 17 o'clock, but they actually comes at 19, today was cloud and at 19:30 was already dark. My dad helped them to finished faster, but I'm afraid that we don't received best quality, because on this part of a yard have a big bush and light from the lamp is blocked, so the second window was put almost on dark. Dad say that the room light is enough, but I'm not sure. Curious to see tomorrow on a daylight what actually is the result.

Chris, I'm surprised how fast all happened in US, here things takes months sometimes year, before one cat to be ready for adoption.

Trudy, we had few wildfire here too, so I also feel the rains like blesses! Early, Thanksgiving, I didn't know that. Then you really not have much time.

Nancy, so awesome to give your upgrade to someone that want it! The story for your son's group is touching and looks like he is very strong!

Jean, so you still cutting grass, is this one of these special grass mixtures?! Our grass already stopped to grown, because we have a wild grass and autumn affected it.

Rae, this cold sounds unpleasant, good to see that today you are better! Some teas with honey helps, but I'm not sure do honey is appropriate for your keto regime, maybe only tea?!

OK, girls, it was long day, so I'll gone to the bed early today! Sweet dreams to all!

Tonight we are a little west of St. Louis on the way to Oklahoma to visit DH's brother. We had great weather for travel but it was 96 here when we arrived. But with A/C, not bad.

Please excuse for no personals, but it's been a long day.
