Happy hump day!
I am patting myself on the back for getting the day correct since we were out last night, which almost never happens midweek. I know that I woke up more than once last night struggling to remember what day it was and what my plans are. That was before my dreams about being in FBI training and failing miserably. It was something about me writing or researching a story and my boss signed me up for "detective training" but I couldn't
1. work with the team 2. keep my paperwork straight and 3. find any of the clues. I finally got fed up with the trainer and told him the only reason I was there was because my boss thought it would be fun. :rotfl:
At least that dream wasn't terrifying. *G*

House update: It is out of attorney review and the inspections are set for this Friday. I would appreciate good thoughts for that, especially for the septic. Minor things would be negotiable but the septic... that could be a deal breaker. But sheesh, everything is going full steam ahead. That's good. I got this.
I do.

I also signed up for a Forest Bathing Hike on the 13th. Go me!! It's at the Ecology Center that Scott interned/worked at when he was in college. One of his best friends leads the hike and meditations so I asked him if he thought I would enjoy it. He basically said it's walking in the forest and using all of your senses to connect to nature, what's not to like? Now I am registered, printed my ticket, and put it on the fridge by my coloring page. I'm turning the fridge into My Pride Shrine :floorlaugh:

@Cherylndesigns I read your comment about Tex and Lex in Evelyn's thread about decorating. You'll be happy to hear that we are rescuing Braxton from the attic and bringing him downstairs so he can have some time with Caitlyn before she moves out.

Today, I am grateful that I have wonderful neighbors. I enjoy their company and it's fantastic having a sense of community with them. It gives me a sense of having "roots."

big hugs!

@vickyday When I first started doing yoga, I had to do it every day to get into the routine and habit of it. After two months of just about every day, I now shoot for 3-4 times a week. When things were kooky last month, I missed almost two weeks and could tell how much I had backslid in my flexibility. lesson learned and now I make sure I do at least 10 minutes. Even short bits of time and activity will be a help. In my opinion, something is always better than nothing. Go for it!
I am glad that the temps have cooled for you, must have been pleasant to collect all of the tomatoes.

@bcgal00 *gentle hugs and healing thoughts to you* I hope that the antivirals help-- get lots of rest, and feel better!♥

@BrightEyes Oh sheesh! The mechanics must have looked at the car and the odometer and wondered "What the heck?" :giggle4:
How are the temps, still able to keep the windows open? I love having the fresh air over the AC.

@Cherylndesigns Are you sleeping better again? No more waking up at 7 (which would be me sleeping in LOL)? You and I would have been shooting daggers with our eyes at the woman with her gum. :killer: When my Lyme was active, my hearing became very sensitive and it was like 100000000 nails on a chalkboard to hear people chewing. I snapped at Gary more than once because of that.
Great advice for Vicky and good luck when you start yoga again.

Good Morning!
Read this in the Almanac Newsletter I get daily:
If the first week in August is unusually warm,
The winter will be white and long.
–Weather folklore
The temps yesterday were not bad at all! I could even pick the tomatoes during the day instead of having to wait until the evening! A nice breeze was blowing, too. I haven't been out yet today, but the thermometer is showing same temp as yesterday at this time.....71! So, does that mean our winter will be "not white" and "short?" We shall see! I don't hold much stock in this type of stuff anyway because I know Who controls everything.....including the weather! Shame on me for complaining!
I got a double batch of the salsa made yesterday. Mark has already put a pretty good dent into it! I think he ate a whole bag of Fritos Scoops with it! And, I'm pretty sure I heard him up in the bathroom several times last night, too!
Today I am going to my daughter's house. We will probably play games and maybe go out to lunch. I will be feeding and letting the dogs out next Friday and Saturday, so I need her to show me where, when and how much food to serve them.
I started the challenges yesterday with the first one.....White space. But, I won't get one done today. Maybe tonight after church.
I spoke with Ilene this morning. Her digestive system is still not up to par. But she is feeling better! She thinks it might be residual stuff from the respiratory infection that her body is getting rid of. Plus, she was on an antibiotic for a couple of weeks. That might have had an effect on her, too. Anyway, she is feeling better, at least. She is going to stay home from church tonight and I am going to stay away from her for the rest of the week. Hopefully the 3 musketeers can get back together next week!
HAGD!

Good morning ladies. I'll be staying home and resting again today but am feeling a bit better. I'm still in pain, fatigued and have headache but it is all a bit less. I slept most of yesterday. Not sure how much I'll be up and about today but I suspect I'll still lay down quite a bit, the fatigue is overwhelming.

I'll be back later.

Good afternoon all,

Chris @faerywings what a crazy dream! FBI - hahaha. I've been sleeping better and back to my usual getting up time. No dreams for a few nights that I can remember. Going on that "experience in the woods" sounds wonderful. When I first read it, I thought "is Chris going to go (literally) with a bunch of people in the river"? Now THAT would be worse than the gum chomping lady at the coloring class. Girl, I would have gone ballistic on her - at least gotten up and moved. My hearing is very, very good and I also have that syndrome where certain noises just make me crazy. Gum snapping is one of them. My whole family knows they cannot snap their gum around me. The kids forget sometimes, but one glare from Adrienne or me and they say "sorry".

I got Jenn's first challenge "Dark Side" done - I had fun with it. I'm so happy you got "the guys and gals" out to spend time with Cait. Yes, barring the septic being bad, sounds like it's a go. I'll send my best "Straight A Inspection Vibes" to the kids. I'm sure it will turn out okay. Like you said everything is negotiable.

I'm running late today and Adrienne and the dogs will be here in about a half hour. I had to get my workout done before she got here or I knew I wouldn't get it done. Hey, I have to stay strong to get up in all these monster trucks around here. Roger got an even bigger one and had it raised, but he does have running boards. It's still a hefty pull up for a short stuff like me. His is the hardest to pull myself up into. Oh, that's not true. Ava just got a new truck with no running boards and she has to give me a "hike" to get up in hers. She's getting hers raised too (of course she is) but is putting in running boards, thank goodness.

Hello and hugs to all - sending you healing vibes, Rae @bcgal00
