The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Ack! I almost blew it- I had typed in the subject line that it was Tuesday! Ooops!
The week off is going fast. Wednesday already. wow!

Lots of stuff going on here. Today
we have to go down to Scott's Lyme dr. After that we are going to see Gary's Grandma for her b-day. She is in a Alzheimer's Unit at a Nursing home, but we try to see her as often as we can.
Cait and I are staying over at Gary's mom's and then tomorrow we are
finally going in to American Girl/NYC with Mom, my SIL and my nieces.
Friday we are hoping to head up to PA for the weekend. So it is going to
be a bit nutty. I may or may not be back between now and Sunday. So if I disappear, no worries! I does mean that my post challenge is going to end up being very far behind.;)

Linda W- Did it hit 91*? We are supposed to get very close to that today.

Andrea- good to hear that physio is going well. Heck- we all should be doing kegals forever ;)

OT- I heard from the health ins. company I have to get my new plan from $324/month premium. OK, so that is my car payment (I finally got the car paid off, now I have this instead- ergg!) . But the catch is that I have a $500 cap per calender year on diagnostics tests such as X-rays, MRI, and mammograms. I am due for a recheck in May- that is not going to happen now. Crap!

Laurie- how is your yard work coming along? I have all of my gardens "de-leafed" and weeded. Lots of little green bits popping up too!

Hahah!! My Soul-Sister Clara- love the "Strangle your Child before Work Day." I have Strangle your Child before the Bus Day. How was the movie?
I am hoping that everything goes smooth with the move. Does the military help you with any of that?

Sally-ouch- sun burn! Get out those aloe plants. My aloe plant got destroyed over the winter. Silly Cat Floyd kept eating it and now I am down to three scrawny leaves. Good luck to Q!!!!!! Have a great time in NO!!!!!

Love to you all!

xoxo

Well hello!! It has sure been quiet in the mornings when I visit and then I don't check the day before until later and see bunches of posts. LOL!! So, Ethan and I had our date and it was so much fun. We went to a Japanese steak house and it was awesome. Ethan loved watching them make big fires and cook his food in front of him. We ordered stuff to share so everything we got we'd split in half and give it to the other. It was very yummy and we ate it all up. Mmmmmm!! Then we went off to the movie. The movie was great...I mean it was a Nicholas Sparks book made into a movie so there was depressing things, but it was pretty good. It was a great non-Hannah movie for Miley Cyrus. Hopefully she starts getting some more roles since her Hannah days are numbered now. (The things you know as the mother of a 7 and 3 year old - we watch way too much Disney Channel). But it was a great movie and we had a good time.

So, in answer to your question about the move Chris...the military does a LOT for the move. We have several choices of how to move. We could pack it ourselves and possibly make some money, or we could have the military pack it up and move it, or we could store our stuff. We are doing a mix of things. We will be having the military move us. I see no reason to stress ourselves out getting everything all packed up, plus we really need to declutter our house. We are also going to have the military store some of our stuff in permanent storage. this means we will not see these things until we decide to have it delivered in a couple of years...but I don't need my china and some things like that. I can store Addie's crib, furniture if we want, etc. So we are going to only have the military pack and send enough stuff for an apartment. I really want to get rid of so much stuff. One thing that is going to be very hard for Ethan is that we are going to be giving our dog away. We already have someone to give the dog too that is a friend of ours that is a perfect fit, but Ethan is going to be so sad. So, I am going to have to help Ethan approve of it. We're going to go to their house ahead of time to make sure Ethan is okay with that being where the dog goes, then on another visit we will see how Gryffe gets along with their little dogs (he's half lab and half monster). But I want Ethan to be a part of it so that he is okay with it. I think he will be.

So...I had a very interesting conversation with Ethan this morning. A friend of mine is here from New york, but staying in a hotel for a month of military training. We met her in Italy and have stayed in contact with her. I am totally excited about seeing her. Well, she has a family that is MUCH different than ours and something I don't think Ethan knows anything about. So, anyway she is gay and her girlfriend and her have a son who is not quite a year younger than Ethan. I knew that at some point he would hear about their family and get confused so I decided to just explain it to him ahead of time. He was all sorts of confused and kept saying it was so weird to have 2 moms. So, it was a great opportunity to talk to him about different types of families and were even able to point out to him that he already knew of families that were not typical already, he just didn't think about it because it was normal for him...such as our neighbors who have their grandkids. So we talked about love and how that is the most important thing of all. We were also able to use my sister's job as a social worker to explain that just because a family seems "normal" doesn't make it so. That many "normal" families have no love in them, blah blah blah!! It was a good conversation. My husband came home in the middle of it and so he was able to help out with it too. So, it was a great opportunity for us to communicate about something that goes on in life.

Chris - when we have those child strangling days we should hang them from the ceiling by their toes and then send pictures to show our kids saying "this could happen to you!!" LOL!! I hope the Lyme appt goes well. If we don't hear from you I hope you enjoy the rest of your spring break and have a fantastic weekend.

okay, just went back to yesterday...

Sally - you have never fried food? Are you serious?? The chicken fried steak came out good, huh? I love making that. It is way yummy and it makes awesome leftovers. For some reason it is really good cold...or heated up with eggs for breakfast. For my dad's 50th birthday i made him 50 pieces of it. No fried chicken or anything? Really? Or fritters? or french fries? Holy Moly!! My mom used to make corn fritters that were so yummy. Fattening, yes. But way yummy!! I am in shock over the no fried food thing.

Oh - I have made a decision about our move to NC!! Whenever I decide that life sucks there I am going to go out for fried chicken. We don't have fried chicken here. I mean people can fry chicken but it isn't fried chicken like you can get in the south. So my cure for missing home will be fried chicken and sweet tea. Maybe sometimes I'll throw some awesome BBQ in there too. :)

ooh Clara!

I've had to have that conversation with my kids long ago lol. One of my best friends is in a gay relationship and has 2 kids now :) The other is my massage therapist lol. For us now, having 2 Moms is just a normal family although don't tell MY Mom I said that, she'd have a freak out lol.

evening all dropping by before I catch the new criminal minds- still have areas that need clearing Chris- and probably won't do it tomorrow- obgyn appt and it will barely reach 59 tomorrow-

clara and andrea- never had those conversations with my kids, but my baby is 21 next week

sally love that you are cooking through the pioneer womans cookbook!

storms coming - hope they are gone by morning- being as this house (like my old house 2 states away) has had lightening strikes twice- I'm shutting down tonight- back when the storms are gone!

quick hi~~ late again here...seems like i have this long list and then I finally make it in to the O!! shame on me!!! I"ll start here tomorrow!! :)

just wanted to clarify, that I've eaten PLENTY of fried food in my 40 years...My mother in Law is the BEST cook EVER and her specialty is Fried Chicken. Oh my gosh, it is exquisite. So last night's meal was almost just as good!!! *sigh* love that! But yes, I've never cooked meat or anything really floured up and dipped in hot oil. I'm sure I've done plenty of grilling, sautee-ing (which may seem like frying!), broiling?, baking of course, but hot oil in a cast iron skillet??? first time!!

Chris, have a wonderful weekend, babe!!

Laurie, hope you survive your storm, hun!!

Clara, thanks for your rambling...It comforts me for some reason!! LOL!! And ohhhh yes to that fried chicken and sweet tea...yummmm southern food...don't forget the fried okra, too!! LOL!!

*waving at Andrea!!*

off to shut down here in a sec...getting some new products ready to unveil tomorrow!! yipeee!!!

love you ALL!!
