I am very happy that I was able to get out and see the sunshine yesterday since the 10-day forecast has 1, maybe 2 sunny days ahead. *shakes fist at the sky* Why??
How is everyone doing mentally? Should I still do the breathing/stretching every day? If it is helping, I am more than happy to do it. But if everyone is feeling fine and there isn't a need, I am good with that too.
I had a good day yesterday, it made me happy to be outside. The patio is looking much better. BTW, my "patio" is just a small slab of concrete with hedges on two sides and a rhododendron in the front. Nothing exciting and not really big enough to have family visit and be able to stay 6' away. But I keep a few plants and herbs in pots and maybe I will be able to sit and read out there.
We have a robin and her nest in the rhodo. I was surprised that she wasn't yelling at me while I was out there.
My ILs came up with some food. They belong to a restaurant food supply club and picked up some chicken, spinach, produce, and split it up among the three families. I used the broccoli rabe for dinner last night. Good to eat something healthy!
I am off to pick up food from Walmart this afternoon and hope that they have the bag of frozen mozz sticks and tortilla chips I ordered for Carnival night. More unhealthy foods- but delish. My ILs also gave up their old Wii and games so we have even more games to play at our "carnival."
I have to catch up on laundry today and really need to keep working on Christopher's book. Plus I need to think of something to make for Gary's b-day on Sunday, a card for my nephew Dylan on the 5th, and a card for Christopher on the 7th.... oh yeah and Mother's Day on the 10th. Maybe it is a good thing that it is going to rain a lot, keep me inside!
I promised Cait I will help her study for her big Final on the 8th as much as I can. She is really stressed.. I told her that I was sure that her professor would grade leniently on the test- usually some multiple-choice, some short answer, and usually 1-2 essays. Caitlyn kicks major butt on the essays. This test is all multiple choice, unfortunately. How funny- most people would be happy to have multiple choice, but not my DD
That is about it.
Gratitudes:
-food in my kitchen
-being outside
-laughing with my family at dinner- god only knows what the kids were blathering on about last night bu that Gary and I in stitches. So happy that they truly are best friends, not just siblings.
