Would you believe that I almost typed the date as March 11 instead of April 11? I bet most of you would not have been surprised. It really feels more like March than April although I am impatiently waiting for the weather to get warmer on Friday and Saturday.
It was freezing yesterday and the snow kept falling on and off all day. Not so much when we were down by my mom's but as soon as we got back into my town, the flurries were hitting my windshield like crazy. Poor Cait didn't wear a coat and I had to keep the car heater on High.

She is feeling much better now that she met with the lawyer. She is nervous about being cross-examined but I would imagine that is normal. I know I would be terrified. The potentially good news is that she might only need to be there for the one day. If they can get her testimony done on Monday, she won't need to go back on Friday so my fingers are crossed for that.

We had a nice visit with my mom too, although I know that she is very worried about me. She said that I looked more exhausted than usual and was concerned about me driving home. She and my dad didn't look so hot either so there is that. Hmph. :(
I am going to call her this morning when my energy levels are a bit better. Maybe I can pretend well enough so she doesn't worry so much that she can't sleep. (who, my mom?? And guess what? It must be genetic! haha!!!)

I have nothing planned for today other than giving Floyd his fluids. Wish us luck on that! I really need to take a nap or something. For real.
Really. I need to do that.

Hope that all of you have a peaceful and stress-free day!

Trudy- sorry that the rain is coming down again. I am sure that doesn't help your muscles feel any better. Hope that being in the pool helped stretch and loosen it all out. Did the Norwex order show up in time? If not, then that means another excuse to visit with SIL in the future :)
I loved reading your encouraging words to Rae. It gives me such hope that things will be OK with Bailey in the future.

Jean- you must be as done with the snow as I am. This is bananas. Even though it isn't sticking, just the sight of it makes me :boom:
You are making me wish that I knew about birds. Maybe seeing them as you do would give me hope that it really is Spring. Keep the stories and observations of them coming.
I thought that is what you did with the bird layers but I wasn't able to copy it correctly. I am going to try to redo the page before I upload it to Shutterfly so I will go back and follow your instructions better. Thank you!

Felis- You are lucky to have grass to mow. Out grass is brown and dead from the winter. No sign of new growth yet. The image in my head of you "dancing" with your mower made me laugh!
Thnakyou with your support of Caitlyn. She was able to get in touch with the girl who this trial is centered on and they are on the same page. Cait felt terrible that her actions made this girl go through all of this and she was worried that girl was mad at her for it. She isn't which is a huge relief for Cait.

I am the same way with not being able to judge distances. My state is small and it would only take less than two hours to drive across it (no traffic of course which is unheard of in NJ LOL) so when I think of people driving across other states and it taking hours and hours it seems very strange. And to drive acorss the country like in Canada-- it is so strange to me.

Ok, my lOves-- better get some breakfast. Have a great day!

xoxo

good morning - I have been going through hockey withdrawal as there have been no games between the end of the season and the start of playoffs which begin tonight. My team does not start until tomorrow. Yesterday was so busy. I had a hair cut appointment which I love and she is so fun to go to. It is a new shop and so there are only two and they are doing it all. Fun to see the beginning of a new shop and how happy she is being her own boss. My hair turned out a bit more red which my son noticed but not my DH. Always cracks me up. Then had to come home and get ready to take Luther to vet for a check up his ears. Well in the waiting room was a 6 month old German Shepherd puppy Sasha. She was so so cute and boy did she bark at Luther. She so wanted to play but Luther was in vet mood and subdued. But they sniffed and walked around each other. Made the wait a bit more tolerable. He got another dose for his ears and now he is done. At least until the next time. We had clouds yesterday but no rain and definitely no snow. But darn I hate wearing my down jacket in April. Today my Devils are having an open practice before heading off to Tampa for the start of the playoffs. No pundit is selecting my team to win this series but they are all saying that is will be a hard fought series. And like Jean I am seeing birds coming back. As she noticed the goldfinches are really turning yellow. The best was along our river to see a kingfisher.

Chris so glad that the meeting with the prosecutor went so well. Cait will be great. Do you plan on going with her to the trial? Glad she is feeling better. I cant believe you had snow. I saw that Hartford CT was having snow but I did not think you were. Of course you are exhausted you have a lot on your plate. Take a nap if needed.

Trudy how fun to be able to get together with family and have lunch at a Bistro. Sorry about your neck. It does not seem right that we should have more aches as we have aged but we sure do LOL. Sorry about the rain. Have fun talking to Heather.

Felis that cracks me up your description of mowing the lawn. How interesting that you all divide the yard and have different forms of lawn. That would not work in my yard, too small.

Jean I am loving hearing about your birds. We have those sparrows and as I walk Luther I see them in the hedges. Hope you are done with snow.

Rae waving hi!

Morning everyone... rain, rain go away!! Trudy wants to Hike today LOL. Ya not going to happen as it looks like we are in for a real downpour for most of the day. :mmph: Oh well I have lots to do today and it will give me a chance to perhaps start a painting that I have had in mind to do. Yesterday turned out to be a nice sunny afternoon, a surprise to everyone, but it was also very windy, still so nice to be in the sunshine for a change! Our lunch was very nice and Bridgeman's Bistro is always such a busy little place, so it was good that SIL Linda made a reservation! Even nicer was that they bought my lunch for my Birthday, which isn't until the 14th, but we won't be together for that day. Of course the order that I had placed did not arrive before SIL came to get me, but half way to the restaurant I got a notice that it was delivered. :gaah: I knew that would happen!! So they decided to drive back after the lunch to my house to pick up their orders, a bit of a drive out of the way for SIL Sharon, but she was ok with it. All in all a pretty great afternoon, I got spoiled!!

Chris - The laps that I did yesterday did make my neck feel a bit better, it is just one of those darn things when you turn your neck the wrong way and ouch something pops and it takes days to get it back to normal. I totally believe that you would want to type March instead of April, it certainly doesn't seem like springtime for the east! Glad that Cait made out ok with the lawyer, she should feel good about doing what is right! It is nice that you had a good lunch with your Mom and of course she is worried about you, its what Moms do, right? I hope that you get to have a nap today, it really would be good for you to rest for a bit at least! Good luck with giving Floyd his fluids, I can't imagine any of my pets ever sitting still long enough for that LOL. I hope that the weekend actually does bring you nicer weather and lots of sunshine!

Nancy - It does seem weird to not be watching any hockey these past few nights! I was saying to DH last night that at the beginning of the season, we did not think that the Bruins or the Devils would be very good this year, what a nice surprise to see both of them in the playoffs! So cute that your son always notices the changes in your hair, but your DH does not. My DH always comments on my hair, he does not like it when my hair is getting lots of grey in it LOL. Hope that Luther's ears are better now and hopefully you won't have to visit the vet again for a long time. How nice to see the Kingfisher, I don't think that we have those around here.

Jean - How nice that you also got to have lunch with friends and it is good that you all got to try somewhere new! It is always nice to get together and catch up, no matter where it ends up being. Hearing the birds singing sounds lovely, I have not heard too many birds lately except of course the robins and hummingbirds, but hopefully I will hear many more once I can get out in the garden again. Yes I hope to get back to painting again today, I have been procrastinating because I need to get all my supplies out again. I put them away while the grands were around, I have paints and canvases for them, but my good supplies are tucked away so they won't use them.

Felis - How lovely to make a dance out of the chore of cutting the grass! So cute! I guess that I learned many of the childrens songs from my Mother at least the older ones anyway. Then a few of the newer childrens songs I have learned through my nieces and nephews and of course the many childrens shows that are on TV everyday LOL. Its fun to learn! I hope that you had a lovely evening and that you got to enjoy more sunshine! Seems strange that the time change is so large!

Rae - Sending lots of good thoughts your way!

Ok I am off to get another cup of coffee :cof1: and then hit the gallery for a bit, so much beauty there! So many talented scrappers! Have a lovely Wednesday everyone!

I don't know where my day went. We are busy with the work, after was take free days on Easter. Today is a little colder, but we still are with shirts. Forecast is for rain, which will canceled our plans to treat the yard against ticks and fleas, but we really have to start do it soon. I can't believe it's an April and I'm not made the Spring cleaning yet?! I saw in my previous year 52 Project Layout, that I was done this in March. I really don't have any excuses for this procrastinate, except that past few weeks I was poisoned myself with rereading of my high school diary and regrets. I hope I'm finally overcame this spring fatigue and go back in active mood. This week I feels much better, and even I'm so excited from the new kit of Regina Falango that I bought today, and can't wait to have time to use it! And I was not in the gallery after the OParty, and really should do it soon!

Chris, once after all this done Cait will be so proud that she is prevented escalation of this inappropriate behavior. Even if the other girl don't understand this, they are save some other girl in future to become a victim. I think you can't stop your moms to worry, but I know you will find way to make it worry not so much! Get a nap! Seriously do it! Oh and I remembered that you was ask about the Qullimam's camera, it don't work for me neither! After they switched to YouTube, I never couldn't to make it works for me.

Nancy, oh Luther is so sweet and well-mannered! We still struggle with socialization of Biggie and the neighbor's girl Foxy. I hope soon to see you with the new hairstyle on the pics from some fan meeting! Your son is more observant by most of the men, and it's so sweet when you have who to notice these little details!

Trudy, the lunch at this Bistro sounds like a fun time, and how nice that they are agree to drive a little bit more, but to save you the need to resend their order. Sorry for the rain! But to start paint sounds like good alternative. After all, I hope you to can do this hike into the next few day!

Jean, I'll see your post tomorrow. Or maybe you'll cross posted?!
Hugs to Rae!
And good night, my dears!
