Yep, I open the thread, I think I am the first to be on Wednesday, am I ?

I do not really used to tell about my life or my day, let's try ...

It's crazy to be sick and still have to go to work :p that's it. Sore throat still follows me, no more fever and some cough.

I am jealous my boys are on holidays ...

Winter says hello on my island, it is not my favorite season even if we just need to deal with 10° in the morning and evening, 16° during the day (for the moment we have 25°, it is just the beginning). Have a thought for my father in Alberta who has about -40° on winter will help me to enjoy the coming months.

Hey hey hey ! Stop complaining, focus on the positives today.
1/ eager to come back to my yoga class after three weeks away, hummm
2/ will meet friends for afterwork time yaya
3/ two days left and will be on week end :) with scrap scrap scrap coffee barbec scrap cooking time scrap ... planned

Have nice wednesday all of you <3

Good morning Dina! Or is it afternoon by you now? How far ahead are you of GMT? I am -5 hours. And I guess that you are a Down Under girl too, even though I tend to think of that as Aussie and NZ-ers. I love being able to expand my geographical horizons a bit :)

It really is yucky to have to go to work when you are not feeling well. My hubby had a sore throat and swollen glands last week and he made a concoction of cayenne pepper, raw honey and apple cider vinegar. Wouldn't you know-- it worked! (Brought tears to my eyes when I caught a whiff of it !!LOL)

Thank you for sharing your positives. I am having a really bad head day so this is helpful.

My 3 Positives:
1. The sun is shining and it looks to be a nice spring day here (Finally!!!!!!)
2. Gary listens to me when I complain about the same stuff over and over, and understands how I am feeling.
3. My family, my fur-babies, the roof over my head and the food in my fridge. And my Linus blanket hahahaha!!!!

I was able to get out and clean the leaves out of one small patch of yard. I have a section of black eyed Susans that were buried under leaves. I cleared all of that out, then for some reason, my dog dug a hole. She never digs so it was odd. Hopefully she didn't kill too many of the flowers, but there are a lot in there anyway and they will spread more in the next season or two if she did. I have to dig out some mint form the other section of garden too. Someday....

It is so frustrating that it is taking me forever to do just that but i guess it is better than nothing, right?

Time for me to get Cait off to the bus. xoxoxo!

What a surprise when I went to bed last night to see the Wednesday thread up already. G'day, Dina! What island to you live on?

Yes! One of the nice things about being retired is that when you are sick, you can just stay in your jammies and wallow in your misery! I hope you are well soon.

Hang in there Chris. Although I feel your pain. There are a couple things in my life that seem to be taking forever too, and it is very hard to be patient.

I surprised myself at the pool today. My goal was 9 laps, and I ended up doing 14! It seems like the first 8 or 9 are the hardest. And 5 half-laps were crawl.

Since I was with Clara Monday, no Wednesday With Clara today.

Nice quiet day. No complaints about THAT!

Morning ladies... a dull morning, but it looks like the sun will make an appearance later on. Not much happening this morning, the usual housework, refinishing the mirror (almost done) and of course swimming my laps. DD received her vacuum yesterday, so I am anxious to hear how she likes it.

Dina - Your winter is so much better than the ones that we experience out in the prairies and the eastern side of Canada!! So take heart that your temps could be so much worse!! :becky: Sorry that you are having to head to work with a bad cold! Hope that you feel better very soon!!

Chris - Hooray for getting outside for a bit yesterday! Baby steps my friend, it will all get done! Funny that your dog decided to dig a hole in your garden?? Wonder what she was looking for? I hope that your head clears and you are able to get out again for a bit today!

Hi Sharon  thanks for the nice comment for my digi dare layout!! I love your page with the kitty and the necklace!! Off to comment after I leave here.

Ok so I have been bugging my DH to make a play area for the kids this summer in the backyard, he says sure we can do it, so here are a couple of idea I got from Pinterest. What do you think? Of course the sandbox would have to have a lid to keep the neighbourhood cats out of it. When I showed DH the second picture he thought it was of our granddaughter Sadie LOL. She loves to play in the mud and this would be perfect for her to get all the mud pies made she wanted.

Trudy! I love the play areas. One of the favorite toys my grandchildren have is a "water table--" sort of a free-standing version of photo #2. If DD's house deal ever gets finalized, I will give her these suggestions. I can see my DH wanting to tackle such a project.

Thank you all, not good yet but happy it is the last working day of the week yaya.

For dure, winter here is perfect ... no complain but the temperature change disturbs however.

Now we are on Thursday :-D unfortunately, no time to open a new thread and fly over the forum.

Kiss you all

Hi girls,

Oh Dina what a beautiful country you live. I would be happy with 16 degree in the winter :D

Trudy I really love the play area where the girl stands. It looks like a little kitchen, very cute.

Our newest activity was to hang the TV from my son on the wall. We made his room totaly new last year with beautiful sideboards and stood the TV on top of it. We really didn´t recognized that it was sagged step by step. And after we recognized it ,it was too late and we couldn´t close the doors of the sideboard and it looked really ugly. I get always frustrated when I went in his room.

Ok after one year (yeah we are really fast in doing things), we dismantled the sideboard, turned the top in the other direction that it straightens. My son was at work and we did this for him, that he has a nice room with a normal sideboard:rofl:. It worked really good and looks good now and we hung the TV on the wall. Looks amazing ! Problem than ! The connecters are too big, because there are only 3 cm free between wall and TV. DH bought some new one smaller......but the false.:attention:
Ok no problem, we cut it a little with the carpet knife who has this razor blades. suddenly I hear DH "auuutsch" and his finger was bleeding profusely. he cutted a big piece of the skin of his fingertip. Thanks good not the whole fingertip. Because it had so much bleeding, we went to the hospital. Wednesday afternoon all the doctors are closed but we have a medical practice in the hospital which is always open when doctors are closed.

End of story: he is 2 days on sick leave but all the connnectors are in the TV and it works:rofl:

this was my work the last 2 days:heh:
