Happy Monday, uh, I mean "Tuesday that feels like a Monday" :D
I have to say I am glad that is is a somewhat shorter week- We were all so exhausted last week and we only had two days of school.

Today I am off to my Lyme dr. I wonder what she is going to be able to do/change for Gary.
My "head" is feeling better, not so messed up/scrambled inside. but my joints are just so painful :(
Gary is still totally in bad shape....
It makes you not even want to go.

I do want to ask her about the H1N1 vaccine for the 4 of us. I am not into a lot of unnecessary vac's, but I just don't know how our immune systems would handle or not handle it. We have already had several confirmed cases in the middle school right before graduation.
I need more *unbiased* information and that is next to impossible to get. One blog was saying that the Swine flu vaccine was going to contain microchips, the govt was going to make the vac mandatory so we can all get "chipped." Seriously.
Not sure if this was supposed to happen before or after Obama hypnotized and indoctrinated our school kids today. Buhahahah!!!

heh, enough of my politics for the day ;)

Hi Linda W! psst- thanks for the vodka- man I needed that :p
That is so cute w/ Cameran and YMG! When we are all up in PA- my fam and my parents, my parents say it is way to quiet as soon as we leave, They love the quiet when we are not there, but when we are there and go- it gets so lonely for them.

Dawn- Tell Davy s/he'd better behave or YMG is going to make him/her watch Bugs Bunny and the Hossenfeffer stew episodes!
*grins* "Interesting," I am, am I? I have been called worse buhahahaha!
I have to admit, there is *never* a dull moment in my fam!

Andrea-(((((hugs!!))) You can always post here- and we'll help you cheer up! Aren't bad moods totally contagious? I hate that! Hope you and the girls are happy campers today. :)
Sorry to hear that the vodka and oj didn't help. Next time try some cheap champagne and oj- mmm mmm!!!
And yes, must smile or I will put my head through a wall, or pull out every stand of hair on my head.
I joke that my philosophy is that I can either cry or smile and crying messes up my mascara. (Such a Jersey gril LOL)

Dawn- yup, that is exactly it- come as you are! Even grumpy, Y'all know I do!
A chat/scrap would be fun.. I love hanging out laughing with all of you.

Clara- welcome back!!!! I thought of you the other night- we were watching House and he was a guest star (Dave:))
Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Have a great day w/ Ethan at the M&G!

Hope everyone has a wonderful and fabulous day!
xoxoxo

Good Morning O Family!!

Today is some cleaning - FLYING - and then babysitting for a couple of hours....Sharon has to go get her staples out...so I am going to her house to keep the baby and get Cameran off the bus!

Ok...so DH sent S-DD an email back and told her that we do have lives here too and that it wasn't necessary for her to send something like that to me. She emailed him back and said yes it was necessary, and if he wanted to talk to her or the kids, he NEEDED to call her!! WOW!!! I am in amazement of how disrespectful kids are today!!! I told him to let the dust settle and call her in a couple of weeks.

Well..that's the excitement around here....

Personals starting where I left off yesterday:

Dawn...Hi sweetie!! Your little Davy....I hope he/she is over the cycle before you leave too!!! I love the idea of a crop/chat...I would be in for it!!! 4 DAYS TO DISNEY!!!! WOO HOO!!! I so wish I were going!! I hope you have a blast!!!

Andrea...((((HUGS)))) sorry you had just a bummer day!! I hope it's all better now. ~~~sending positive thoughts to Andrea~~~~ The tacos should have worked!! I love tacos!!!

Clara...Wow!! sounds like a fabulous weekend...you do the most fun things!!! and the dirty will wash off..that's part of the fun! Wow...just starting back to school...you are one of the last. WELCOME BACK!!!!

Chris....Good luck with the Dr's today!! I hope they can find something for DH!! It stinks that he has to be in such bad shape all the time!! I am happy you are doing better!! LMBO about the microchips in the vaccine!! It really wouldn't surprise me!!! I hope you get some good info to help you make a decision...I know it is tough...we have not had any cases here...that we have heard of anyway...I am hoping not!!

Ok...I am going...have a FAB day everyone!!!!

Hi!!

Chris, have a good appointment today. Let us know the legit info on the vaccine. I am kinda scared of it but not because of some media hoopla. Just worried about a new vaccine. KWIM?

LindaW I hope u have fun babysitting. Lucky you, now that my babies are all big I have been missing a little one. But it would have to be on a slow growth curve and mostly like to cuddle to work with us!

I am just have a late monday today. hoping the boys have a good day, maybe FLYING and thinking aboiut working out in the AM instead of the PM.

Talk to you later!!

Quickie from me, got errands before work and needed to leave like 10 min ago LOL. Wouldn't be me if I wasn't 'living on the edge' LOL.....if that's the closest I get I'll take it!

In regards to the H1N1, we had our first confirmed local death over the last few days and it was a school aged child, they haven't released the age or anything, that's all that was mentioned....so far the only clue I have had and I haven't dug but I saw one obit yesterday for a 4-yr-old but it could be coincidence. There have been 3 confirmed cases at our office 2 pts and 1 of our docs. Several in the hosp and several in schools around have been confirmed. IMHO as a medical assistant I'd say if you are able and you have any kind of compromised immunity you should get it, you should also get it if you attend school, work in school, work as a medical professional, or anywhere in or around lots of people.

We have to go to our local health depts to get it, we can't get it in our office with our regular flu shots. ugh.

Chris-hope your appts go well!!!

Lori-have a great day!!!

Linda-love you honey!!

((((Hug)))) TTYL

Oh wow. Now I'm all worried about H1N1. My son goes to KU (University of Kansas in Lawrence) and they have had quite a few cases. I'm not so worried about him, tho as I am about our little girls. Especially Gen, since we *still* don't know what all is up with her. She's not sickly at all, but she does have funny digestion, and with little ones that have developmental delays and such, there are just SOOO many things it could be, ya know? Anyway, I'll have to call the clinic and see what they say. The GREAT news about being in a socialized medical system such as the military's system is that we are all covered for pretty much everything we could possibly need. The bad thing is that sometimes ya gotta wait your turn. That's okay, I'll take it! Sure beats when Quinn was little, and I had no insurance, and I'd have to sit there and stare at him, trying to decide if he was sick or hurt enough for me to take him to the hospital.. *shudder* that was terrible.

Anyway, I guess that's my little rant today. As for Obama's speech that all the kids have to hear, if you don't agree with his politics, just remember that they are kids and they will not be paying attention anyway. ;-) I heard some moms freaking out about their kids being forced to listen to the speech, and their kids are in Kindergarten I think. I am just laughing and glad that I am not a teacher yet. Can you imagine trying to make a room full of 6 year olds sit still for a presidential speech!! Hee hee!

Oh and I wanted to thank you all for being so sweet to me about my stupid bad mood. You make me smile! The good news is that I am feeling lots better this morning, although my little darlings did pull me out of a nice shower this morning because Genny was trying to sit on Atha or something, and Atha was screaming like a banshee. I was standing at the top of the stairs, soaking wet with soap in my hair yelling "Do I need to come down there???!!!" I should probably apologize to the neighbors. Although if I'd had to come down there, I would have a bigger apology to make, as the shades are up, and I was in no state to be seen by anybody... well except for maybe one guy in Afghanistan.

Speaking of which, I got to talk to him yesterday, and boy was it noisy there! Whoo! Lots of stuff launching in the background. I still don't know where exactly he is. It would be nice to have an address so I could send him a birthday gift. His birthday is Nov 10, and the mailing date for getting something there by that time is swiftly approaching.

Speaking of swiftly approaching, I have to get some stuff done before school. I'll hop back by later for personals.

Andrea it must be so worrisome to not know where he is and listen to the commotion. Big Hugs!!

About the Obama speech. Its available on the white house website to read. I enjoyed it and will be playing it for the kids when they get home. I am sad there is so much debate over the entire thing. I seriously dont think Obama would say something to hurt our children. I am passionate about helping unguided youth find the courage to take responsibility and guide themselves towards thier dreams. I imagine with his background he would have the same desire I do to encourage our youth. ok off my soapbox.

....quick fly by....taking Nick to school for his official 1st day! :) Mama is nervous called in back up from grandma in case I decide to cry hahahahaha!! Nick says it's no big deal! Won't let me bring camera because to him it's his 2nd day not the first! *LOL* He is a pistol!

Will stop back after he is safe at school :)

*sigh* I love this group!!!

Today is/was our official first day of school!! YAY!!! and the best part of it is that it's the first time in a LONG time that Daddy was here (at home) for it!! He's not missed many first days because of being out of town, but he's never really worked at home during one, so when we all went out for our annual FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL OUT TO EAT field trip, he joined us!!! We had Mexican at Gringos for lunch. soooo fun!! I can't wait to upload pics!!!

But alas, here's the rub, we still need other books. I'm such a poor planner that at midnight last night I just said, I'll go over their school with them and figure out what we need then...so when Cora gets home from Geometry (which a neighbor mom is teaching her YAY!!!!), she, emma, lil and I will trek out to the Homeschool Store (that's what it's called...LOL!!) and get the stuff we need.

Very fun!! I LOVE the first day of school!! It was soo fun! I was loving their little eyes looking at their new books and their new pencils and boxes. So this week is my "GET IT TOGETHER" week...If I'm a bit scarce, that's why!!

Off to clean my kitchen quickly...totally forgot the maids are coming today!! YIKES!!!!

love you all dearly!!

(btw, Chris? I thought we were "for" our president???? teehee!!)

Hi all - yes, I'm still alive! :-D I've not had any time or mojo for digiscrap and have neglected my favorite group of friends. I'm sorry - I hope you can forgive!

Things have been stressful here - trying to potty train my 4-year-old. Sigh. I was hoping that it would just click and be easier than it is, but no. He does fine at school, but only goes through the motions at home. So frustrating.

Anyway, that's been the focus the last couple of weeks. Wish us luck and that things will click soon.

Karen

Hello!!!

So, I took today off. I am so glad that I did. I finished up shopping for Ethan to start school tomorrow. We found out who his teacher was yesterday. Instead of putting up the lists at the school they sent out postcards. It seems like a silly expense since all the schools have a zillion budget cuts. But whatever. Not that big of a deal in the scheme of things. I am excited to meet his teacher. I don't know who she is. I wish I were able to spend more time with Ethan's school. That is one of my major gripes about working full time. But instead we get to do things like go to the DMB concert, or Oktoberfest, or whatever.

I am so tired today. I stayed up way too late playing catch up on e-mail, FB, etc. Then dh thought I should take Addie to daycare so that he could go fishing. I burst that bubble though. I did not take today off so that he could go fishing. He was mad for a second and got over it pretty quick. Yay!! I did help get her ready though, so it wasn't so bad.

Well, time for some personals...

Chris - good luck at the DR. I hope you guys get some good info. I hate that you guys are always feeling so yucky. I keep waiting for you to get back on here to let us know they found some new miracle cure for you guys. I know that is not likely but I'll stay hopeful. I wish I knew something about that vaccine. I have no idea. I do know I am a huge supporter of the flu vaccine, but with this virus being so new I don't know how I feel about the vaccine, but I also know I don't feel so great about people getting sick and dying from a crazy flu strain either. Let us know what your dr thinks. I'm interested to know.

LindaW - Have fun with the baby and with Cameran. Are you loving having a new baby around? New babies are so great. They are cute, smell good and keep someone else up all night. How does Cameran feel about being a big brother? I hope he loves it as much as Ethan loves being a big brother. I'll have to go back and read about your s-dd. sounds like you have a little drama going on there. I hate family drama, especially when it makes no sense. I hope it gets better.

Lori - Hello!! Have fun working out. I need to motivate and start doing that. I think I may start trying to have me and ethan go walking in the mornings before school. We'll see.

Dawn - Hey lady!! Your trip is coming up quick. It sounds so much fun. I hope you got everything done this morning and got to work on time.

Andrea - I am so glad you got to talk to dh. I can't even imagine what that must be like having to just wait until he is able to call. you are an amazing woman to support him from home and keep the family together while he is gone. That is too funny about the kids freaking out while you were in the shower. What is it about kids that they always have freakouts in the most inopportune times.

Kat - don't the kids make you crazy? You are an emotional mess and they think we are just acting crazy. Their day will come when they completely understand all the overwhelming emotions of being a parent and watching your kids grow up. I can't believe Ethan is going to be a 2nd grader tomorrow. I swear he just started kindergarten. What are the kids thinking getting older. Stay little dang it!! I'm glad he is doing so well with school though.

Sally - You make me almost want to home school my kids. If i lived any closer to you I just might. Sometimes I think it would be so much easier, but I have huge fears of screwing my kids up. It is so great to hear about how excited you are for their school. Yay for ymg being there. Very cool.

Karen - Welcome back!! Good luck with potty training. My dd is just starting to really get the hang of it. We have more issues with her wetting the bed than anything. It is inconsistant is the big problem for us. We went camping this weekend though and she did awesome. Not a single accident. She has even learned how to squat now. I hope he gets the hang of it quickly.

Well, I am off guys. I'll chat later. I think I am off to the gallery to give some love.

Oh my what a morning!!! There were *3*, count 'em 1*2*3, yes, that's right *3* T-H-R-E-E wrecks in *3* miles on the interstate I take into work in the morning. I had left a bit early to run to the bank to make a deposit and run to Walgreens to pick up some tummy medicine AND need to get gas for the car. I got zip done. Both lanes were blocked for 3 miles. All 3 wrecks were approx 1 mile apart. From what it looked like the first wreck backed up the traffic and caused the 2nd which in turn caused the 3rd. Argh. People do not pay attention. Of course the speed limit got increased to 70 from 65 a few yrs back so everyone drives 80+ while talking on the phone, or eating, or staring into space or playing with the gps or texting, or adjusting the climate control or radio. It really makes me crazy. Get all that stuff done before you hit the road and drive the speed limit please. And please obey the traffic laws, slow vehicles use the right lane, passing vehicles use the left, use your signals, leave plenty of distance between vehicles. I can't stand it when I leave 3 car lengths between myself and the car in front of me and some gooberhead crams into that spot like it's the only spot left on the road.

Ok, I'm sure you all get my point. And no, I wasn't late to work just almost LOL. And this is the same road my DS rides his bike to work everyday and oooooh it worries me sooo much. And this is not that big of a town...but it is a busy highway.

Hey Clara! Welcome back, love your new avi :).

Chris, how'd things go at the doc?

Oh Linda?? How was your day?

Good evening everyone!!! Today kind of wore me out...I'm off to hop on the couch with DH for a while. Gonna watch the season premiere of Sons of Anarchy :) yeah...it's a little dark-n-dangerous but that young guy is H-O-T ;).

okay just wanted to say hi... I've not been around much lately... things are just so busy... on top of that my aunt (the one who we found out was sick just after daddy died) passed away Monday night around 7 and we're all taking it pretty hard... they had said a year but it's only been about 6 months so we're all struggling... I'm okay, but it's really hard... anyway, just wanted to check in and let you know I'm alright...
