I have already posted two other times this morning but I am going for a third time.
It is raining!!
th

It took its sweet time, it was supposed to rain all day but I don't think it started until well after I went to bed. I know when I woke up around 1 am it hadn't started yet.

Yesterday was basically another repeat day. I scrapped a page and started another. Nothing exciting. Caitlyn and Tom showed me the pictures of their trip to the zoo, I loved seeing the animals. The Philly Zoo looks very nice and is conservation-oriented. (I knew they wouldn't go otherwise).

I am taking W to the vet this morning, she needs a heartworm test and vaccines. She is much easier as a "patient" than J. After that, I am going to make spaghetti (no ketchup) and meatballs- and "m'tballs" - for dinner. I also need to stay away from the weather websites. I hit three of them already today to see what the weather is going to be like next week.
As if it won't change on a daily basis.

Love to you all!

I think this may be a repeat day for me too @faerywings. Going to scrap a layout. Have packed up all of Decker's things and waiting to hear from his parents about when they will come get him. Do some organization around here. Work on goals...LOL...although I must say that I'm losing some interest in goals.

Forget who mentioned allergies but they are bad here. I have been sneezing and eyes watering/itching like crazy. But poor Shaun...he is just miserable. And, I talked to Syd yesterday. She spent Sunday "thrifting" but only found a flannel shirt. Then yesterday they went to the rec center swimming...apparently there are 5-6 of them who do things together...both male and female. Lots of majors...accounting, media production, chemical engineering, architectural design, biology...very eclectic group. So, for now, she is happy. Brian and I are going down to drive down on Thursday and take her to lunch. So something for me to look forward too.

@vickyday Your LO is awesome!!
Did ya hear??? We are getting rain!!! :pLOL!!!

@LSlycord hehe, you sound like me on TGIF! I hope that you enjoy the time off from working. I know how happy you are going to be to see your family ♥
I know you are going to miss Decker himself, but three dogs is a lot. It has to make it sooo much easier to know he has a good home to go back to. ITA-- if not for you guys, especially Shaun, who knows where/if he would be? Give him some extra pets from me!

@Amandajk How old is GS #1, he is cutie!!! He looks like he has very intense eyes. Good luck with the girls someday heh
True hoarding is an illness but BIL has to be able to help your sister in spite of it... what a sad situation. Are there any community programs that can help, a home health aid or meals on wheels?
Congrats on the VA settlement, I know how big a sense of relief you are going to feel afterward.
Your DD's travel plans are amazing! Is she going alone or with a group? Either way, good for her and of course, good and safe thoughts for her

@taxed4ever Yippeee- you have the house to yourself today!! hahah!! Your Gary will never sit still, will he?
*jaw drop* Really!? Your ILs are getting ready to downsize?? I am shocked. I didn't think they would ever do that voluntarily. TBH
Guess I will have to see it to believe it too :D:D:D

@Cherylndesigns The pool party must have been so much fun, I am so excited for all of you! One more crazy thing for your family to do together. Mimosas sipped poolside-- heaven!!!
Congrats to Ava on the new wheels, have fun together today-- behave!!

I am trying to get on a schedule of sorts and be off of the computer by 8 am. Sorry that personals are a little skimpy today!

Good Morning!
Had a great day yesterday on our ride with our dear friends from church! We did all the things.....eat, laugh, feed the fowl, rode the carousel, stuck our faces through holes in boards, sweated, got rained on, sweated some more, ran for cover out of the rain, ate some more.....finally riding home in the rain! It was a GREAT day! Best and funnest day I've had in awhile! Scrapbook pages to come!

Today is back to the same old same old.....scanning more pictures. I have lots to scan in the short amount of time I have set as a goal to finish.....2 weeks.....after that the pictures are being turned over to my oldest daughter, Child #1. She is my mini me (just not so mini anymore). She loves all thing crafty. And I figure after she gets her kids raised that she will use her marketing and graphic design degrees to get down to business scrapping! That will be quite awhile, however, since her youngest is just in the 2nd grade this year!

Anywho.....that's it for me today! Have a great day! I just downloaded Regina's new "Summer Gold" kit because DD#2 (child #3) posted a picture of her child #3 wearing a dress and holding a flower that the kit colors match perfectly, so I will scrap a page before I start the scanning!

Morning, all. So much to catch up on from yesterday... sounds like most of you were busy and/or having fun over the holiday. DD#1 and I decided to have hamburgers along with sweet potato fries and a fresh fruit salad so it would seem like a holiday meal to us - even though we didn't do much. We ended up watching a couple of DVD movies - 1 in the afternoon - Cowboys and Aliens- and The Green Mile in the evening. I thought I had seen the Green Mile but realized I had not.

It is so nice to have DD's company for right now. She was so sweet and trimmed my hair yesterday. The neckline was getting shaggy. Will really miss her when she heads home on Friday. Today/tomorrow is changing sheets on the beds and moving her luggage, etc into the Master bedroom so DSon#1 and wife can have the guest room. Also going to make up a big pot of enchilada sauce so I won't have to spend time cooking when they are here.

Good morning...back for personals!

@faerywings you need to get Cait to share some of those zoo photos...good layout material! And so happy that you got that rain! Get it now...before the trip to the shore! And yes, saying goodbye to Decker will be a bit sad but having our lives back will be good. Someone always needs to be home with the dogs...once Decker is gone, we can leave and the dogs will be fine.

@vickyday "leave the goal setting behind and enjoy your freedom" may be the best advice ever. I'm going to embrace that advice, at least for today. Glad that you were able to get a fun ride in yesterday!

@BrightEyes I am so glad that you are enjoying this time with your daughter and can't wait for you to have your son and his wife at the same time. What a joy that will be! And that enchilada sauce sounds amazing.

@Cherylndesigns the pool party sounds amazing. Love that your family keeps you so busy. Enjoy the drive today!

@tanteva thinking of you as you continue in this very busy time of work!

@Amandajk yay for the VA settlement finally coming through. And what a great attitude your husband has to live his life to the fullest! That is quite an adventure your daughter has ahead. I can only imagine the worry...but if you are preparing her way in prayer, she has the best covering!

@taxed4ever exciting news about your in-laws. Hopefully, this time, they are really ready!

@pachimac hope that you have really found your diamond!!!

Morning everyone! Yes it is nice to have the house to myself this morning! Getting lots of photos of everyone starting their first day of school this morning! Hunter starts tomorrow. There will be some scrapping in my future finally!! I have been so unmotivated lately! I have tons of photos, but no mojo #dk. Yesterday was spent going from one job to another and I only got to be on my computer long enough to get a GC out to the winner of Momma O's challenge. Not a very productive day. DH and I looked at a few things that are on the list for the house and then looked at the places online, that the In-Laws are going to view tomorrow. One is bigger than our house. Really??? what are you thinking?? Who going to clean it and there are a million stairs inside and out. that one should be off the list!! #angry2. Oh well I will try not to stress out over it, it most likely won't work out anyway and they will stay where they are. Tomorrow will be a lovely day for a hike and an easy one so that is good. I haven't hiked for so long, it is good to ease back into it. It will be easy but very long, almost 11km. Guess I better bring lots of water! I have nothing else happening today so far. But it seems like that can change quickly around here LOL.

@faerywings - Hooray for the rain!! We sure could use some more, we got that one day of rain on Sunday and now back to sunny clear skies for awhile! Hope your trip to the vet goes well! Enjoy the wet weather today!

@LSlycord - Another bitter sweet day for you as you say good-bye to Decker! Nice to know that he is going to a loving home! I say scrap the goals for a couple of days and just enjoy being retired for a change! I am trying not to get my hopes up about the In-Laws moving to a smaller place, but hopefully it happens! Man will we be busy getting rid of stuff from their house LOL. I bet you are looking forward to your visit and lunch with Syd!! Sorry that the allergies are so bad hope you and Shaun are feeling better soon!

@vickyday - What a fun day you had with all of your friends!! My kind of fun! Eating, laughing and eating some more LOL. You are one busy scrapper! Send me some of your mojo please!!

@BrightEyes - So nice that you are having a great visit with your DD!! It will be sad to see her go I bet! Nice that she got your hair trimmed for you! Enjoy the house full of those you love so much!

Ok Hunter is calling so it will be a nice talk with just him this morning! CYL!!

Hi All,

I'll be back soon to try and catch up. I'm better but still having problems. My brother is coming to visit on his way to his son's down in South Carolina. Not really sure of the date yet. I haven't seen him in more than three years, so that will be awesome. He'll only be here a few hours, but, I'm so excited. My apartment is a mess, so have to get some things done. I was in the middle of decluttering when I started feeling bad again and just left it all as it was! Yikes!

@faerywings Chris, so happy to see you're finally having some rain. ♥

Good afternoon all. I'm waiting on Ava to pick me up. We "loosely" said 1:00 but she might get busy with work. I'm ready to go whenever she gets here. I can't wait to see and ride in her new car. It's a "muscle car" so she'll have to lighten up that lead foot. LOL She's been stopped a couple of times, in her truck, for speeding. She talked her way out of a ticket both times. It pays to be young and cute. LOL

Chris @faerywings yay for the rain!! It smells Heavenly, doesn't it? When we got our first big rain after a drought, I just stood in the door and smelled it.

I'm going to cut this short so I'll be ready when Ava gets here. I'll pop back on later.

Hugs to all.

Good morning everyone. Day 15 and I finally tested negative for covid. I can come out of isolation. I am improving but I think the fatigue and digestive issues are going to take time but I feel I'm on the mend now. I won't be leaving the house right now, not that much energy but I can start walking around the house more and not need to lay down as much.

I've been watching Virgin River on Netflix. I am enjoying it, love the characters and the small town location. I liked Sweet Magnolia (Netflix) a bit more. Netflix has been a lifesaver for me during my sickness, not having energy to do more than just lay in bed and stare at the tv. It'll be nice to lay on the couch later and start to catch up on the Big Brother episodes with D. Tonight I am going to get into the hot tub which is going to feel heavenly. I missed it but didn't want my covid germs anywhere near it while I was positive.

Now I just need to ease back into scrapping again. I looked at my Alaska photos last night and although they are nothing special, they are such a wonderful memory for me, I can't wait to journal little stories about the trip.

So hopefully now I am (somewhat) back to life again :)

Hey everybody! Wow, yes, Kay is right, seems everyone has been active!
Chris @faerywings Congrats on the downpour!!!! We have a saying in the Carolinas: "If you don't like the weather, wait a bit... " ha! GS1 is 9. Then sis Lila is 6, and lil Zeke is 3. Stairsteps!

Linda, @LSlycord We love thrifting! But don't get to very often. Hope you have some great weather to enjoy your new found freedom.

Cheryl, @Cherylndesigns I take it your pool is finished?
@vickyday We've had the humidity too... ugh. Soon that will change.

Kay @BrightEyes You just had to mention Enchilada sauce, didn't you?! NOW I'm hungry. We love enchiladas. ¡Que rico!

Betty @Betty Jo Where in SC does your nephew live?

Hello again!

Guess what? We have NO wifi or TV - shades of horrors from a year and a half ago!!! It just went out - Chuck finally got them to answer their phone - don't forget '"we're in the middle of nowhere". They don't know what the problem is, but they can't address it until tomorrow. It is after hours, you know. Rolls eyes up into head until I can hear them. Some of you remember how I worked for several months - I could only use my phone as a hot spot and had to go anywhere I could to "use" internet to upload my CT files. UGH - those were NOT the good old days. So I'm back on my hotspot on my phone. Both of us are using it - thankfully, we have unlimited data.

Amanda @Amandajk yes, the pool is finished - it's still kind of rough, but is swimmable. I meant to tell you how adoragle your gs was! You're right - watch out - the girls will be lined up. LOL I always said that about our youngest gs and guess what? The girls are lined up. Hahahaha He's in middle school and they're waiting in line. I yi yi yi

thumbnail---2022-09-06T195233.gif

There's still clean-up to do and quite a bit to be done to it, but it's in and everybody has been swimming in it! There's a lot of stuff to be put together, but I love the huge area around it.

Welcome back Rae @bcgal00 - it's been a long haul, huh? Hope you're back in full swing soon!!

Hahahaha - good one, Vicky!! I didn't take this picture - but it's frequently an optical illusion because of the mountains. I whould have straightened it - I normally have to.

Here you go - all tilted the right way. Had to lose most of the picture, tho. :D:D
