GooooOd morning O-Zie-O's!

Well, the good news is that I survived yesterday. It took me 3+ hours-- yes, hours, to get things straightened out with my health insurance/billing/etc. The first one I dealt with was the one that was sent to Collections. That was easy-peasy. I was told to disregard the bill and that they would let the Collections know. I made sure that I had her name taken down for my notes.
(Rule #1 when dealing with this-- get the person's name!!!!)
I updated Cait's ins. information with the lab so they will bill them, not me. I think it went through correctly but there some issues since her ins. is through the state, and it is in her name, but I am her guardian so some of my info was in it. We'll see if I get billed again.
Then I moved on to my ins. co. to see why Scott was not on my ins. anymore. CSR told me that I needed to speak to the Marketplace (healthcare.gov/ ACA website) to find out what was up. I called the Marketplace, and yes, Scott has been covered the entire time. I ask her if Scott actually has coverage through my ins., as in what happens if he got sick *today,* and she says I need to call the ins co for that confirmation, but as far as it goes, he is covered on their end.

Call back the ins co. This did NOT go well. At all. The CSR was not helpful. After try to get her to understand what I was telling her about the mix-up, and that he was never dropped from my policy, she insisted that Scott had not been covered since Aug 1. Which I *know* was 100% incorrect because it was just this past weekend that I saw the invoice with him off it. I have my last two invoices from Aug and Sept that have him as my Dependent, as well as the info I have from the Marketplace.

That is when I lost it and I yelled, "That is such bulls***" (I didn't yell the asterisk LOL). I think I surprised myself b/c I am usually polite even when I am angry and frustrated. Then she snapped back and me to watch my language if we were going to continue the conversation. That is when I asked to speak to her supervisor.

Supervisor listens to what I am saying, connects us to a conference call with the Marketplace. The look at my records and files and applications. I am scribbling notes and names and dates. I also had my letter in front of me that detailed the changes in income and forms submitted last month so I had a nice chronological line to go by. (The Marketplace CSR said that she also had in my file that all of those doc's were received and that I needed nothing else for income verification- hahahah!! I wasn't even calling about *that*!!!)
Finally get that straightened out, and it should be corrected in 24-72 hours.
:hurt:
:faint:

Can I just say that after that I was toast!!!!!

After all of that I took a break, then did all of my food shopping-- online- and will pick that up today.

I swear, I need a vacation!!!!

I hope that you all have a calm and peaceful kind of day!

th

^^ A better way to start the day

Nancy- sounds like you got a LOT done yesterday! Woo hoo!
That is funny about the guys and their headaches. District Court? I haven't ever gotten called for that. My brother did a Grand Jury stint and loved that. I wonder what kind of cases you would hear, maybe Appeals?

Trudy- I didn't get to see the Supermoon, but I am betting that is also a good reason why I hurt so much- Full Moons seems to affect Lyme patients. Good timing for your DS to be on his boat. hehe!! Pretty exciting to hear there is flowing water on Mars! Lots of good Space stuff happening.

Jean- is your sister happy to be home? Thanks for the hopeful vibes! I hear ya on the Sanity ones being in short supply :p

Shar- hey there! Did you have a good golf game? How awesome for a friend to live in a course, bet the dinner views were amazing! No Clara yesterday?

And how could I not post this??
Today is National Coffee Day! Are you one of the millions who will celebrate? Start by sending a free Coffee Day eCard and then find out where you can go to get a free cup of joe. There are number of local and national businesses offering free or discounted cups of coffee to celebrate Coffee Day 2015. Some of the National Coffee Day deals include: Stop by any participating McDonald’s for a free small McCafé. Krispy Kreme is giving away a free original glazed donut and a small coffee. At participating Dunkin’ Donuts you can get a free medium hot or iced dark roast coffee, one per customer.
So, where did coffee come from and how did it become so popular? According to legend, a sixth-century Ethiopian goatherd named Kaldi discovered his goats frolicking from one coffee shrub to another. He realized the coffee berries had a stimulating effect, and he began to experiment with the seeds. A century later, brewed coffee emerged in Arabia and the popularity of coffee grew at an exponential rate.
Today, over 400 billion cups of coffee are consumed each year. It is a world commodity that is second only to oil. Don't forget to take a coffee break (or two) to celebrate this historical and important beverage!

QOTD Will you celebrate Nat'l Coffee Day? I prepared by cleaning out my coffee maker yesterday (Not really b/c of this, but it sounds good, right? :D)

Do you like flavored coffee? I know pumpkin lattes are huge this time of year. I like flavored/fun coffees occasionally but would never pay that much money for one at a shop.Unless I was meeting my BFF at her local coffee shop becasue their coffees are yummy and the company is better. (I miss her!!)
Anyway, I am rambling on and on...

TTYS!!!

good morning - QOTD no I do not celebrate coffee day. I don't drink coffee. I think it smells so good but I just never like the taste. I get my caffeine from my Dr. Pepper. Got in a good walk, 3 loads of laundry and then rewarded myself by getting 3 pages for my vacation of done. Went out to dinner with my girlfriend and her daughter who is finishing up her first month as a 2nd grade teacher. It is so wonderful to see her loving teaching as that is what she has wanted from the beginning. Then my son came home and said that his first time a being the point for a meeting went well. He was nervous but he said it went well. Glad to see he is doing well too.

Chris I can't believe you keep your calm as long as you do! My son and sister are just like you, get the person's name and then get the supervisor on the phone. Glad that it seems to be all straightened out. I wish I could justify ordering my food on line. Enjoy today as it seems we are in for a lot of rain over the next few days. I know we need the rain too!

Trudy I was so bummed not to see the moon but it was cloudy. It must have been spectacular! Glad your son looked up!

Jean I am sure you were glad to be there to help you sister. Sisters are awesome.

Sharron dinner with friends sounds so nice and golf first. Sounds like one of your favorite kinda days.

Have a great day all!

Morning gals... Another cool but very sunny day here today, we are still needing a bit of rain here, but we won't mind if it doesn't come for a few more days! I love these sunny fall days, the colours are starting to really get vibrant and the fog is over the lake in the mornings, it is really pretty!!

Chris - Glad that you seemed to get things straightened out with the Insurance from HELL!! I think I really would have lost my cool!! Good for you for getting everyone's name and for asking to speak with the supervisor too!! It is horrible that it took 3 hours out of your day though!! Hope you are enjoying your National Coffee Day!! I am loving my first cup of Joe for the morning and will have another sometime after I hit the swimming pool! QOTD - I love my coffee, but really can't afford the expensive ones that Starbuck's has, I know some people that buy them everyday, but not me I have so many other things I could spend that money on :becky:

Nancy - Really you do not drink coffee at all?? My SIL does not either, she drinks lots of tea though, how about you? Do you like a cup of tea? I love Dr. Pepper too, but sadly my stomach will not let me drink soda of any kind anymore. I was never a big soda drinker, but now it is strictly off of my diet. Off to see your pages you have created so far.

Jean - So nice that you were there for sister!! Hope that she is doing better, but how wonderful that she has you nearby! Sorry you did not get to see the eclipse very well, it truly was a beautiful sight to see! I had to peek through some trees at first, so did not get a chance to take any photos darn it! Later it was higher and so bright it made it seem like the lights were on in the house LOL.

Sharron - Hope you had a fun time with your friends on the private course!! How lucky for you and your hubby! Too bad about missing the moon, oh well it was plastered all over the internet, so I am sure you got to see some great shots of it! Hope you are enjoying the sunshine and the beauty of the Fall day where you are !!

Ok better get ready for swimming today, I finally ordered a lap counter that I can wear on my finger while I swim. I always start off with good intentions of keeping count, but then my mind wanders and I totally lose count. Oh well hoping I will remember to push the button on the lap counter when I get it :becky: Have a super day everyone!

I'm another that doesn't drink coffee. Seems I just don't like the smell. I do drink tea, but much of the time herbal ones, so no caffeine in them. I drink Diet Coke for mine. We're getting a little rain so far today and then it's going to start really cooling off.

Chris, I admire your patience and persistence in the insurance coverage wars. Hope the latest round is really done and they got it right. Glad you can enjoy the coffee day today!!

Nancy, saw your trip's first page and it is lovely. Looking forward to drooling over them all. We've never been to Zion and Yellowstone was back in 1977. Nice that the new teacher is enjoying it.

Trudy, hope you have a good, not too crowded, swim today. Hope the lap counter comes and you remember to set it. DH and I have to joke about not remembering things like that because it happens all too often.

Sharron, you have some really nice places to golf! Sounds great.

Hope it's a good day for all.

Recovering after an awesome day with friends. Golf was pretty pathetic. It is a very difficult course. Glad we only played 9 holes. But the weather was perfect. PERFECT. Then we all got together for wine and hors d'oeuvres on the deck, followed by a gourmet dinner, lots of reminiscing and laughing.

EVERY day is National Coffee Day at our house! Carafe of coffee every morning, prepared and served by Captain Romance. Ditto, our mochas every afternoon. He also has after-dinner coffee most evenings.

Chris glad you perservered. So sad that it takes this much effort.

Looking forward to seeing your LOs in the gallery, Nancy. Haven't visited the gallery yet today.

Trudy, hope the finger lap-counter works for you. I'm waiting for a report...and a link.

Another INCREDIBLE day here today. I LOVE this weather.
