GooooOd morning! How are all of you today? Who needs some :tea:?? I have a big pot on, and am willing to share.
I think Cait had a nice b-day. She had one of her BFF's come over after school and stayed for dinner. Brendan was home from work at dinner time too. She loved her gifts for what they were worth. I had gotten her a plastic mason jar with a lid and straw so she can bring her smoothies to school. I filled it with Hershey Kisses and added little notes on folded strips of paper- some were inspirational, like I am so proud of you, and there were others in there that were silly. Like this:
You never drive me crazy.
You understand sarcasm.
She got such a kick out of reading them and we were all laughing. It is like what Shar and Claire said the other day, things don't have to cost much to show how you feel or to share good feelings. I have to remember that when I get down on myself again.
My body is feeling the strain of the day however. Between food shopping/cooking dinner/baking dessert- my back/hip is one big area of nerve and muscle pain. Def. need a pain patch on that today.
Cait and I have an appt with the RD this afternoon, and we are excited to tell her that Cait has made some great improvements in her diet. I asked her the other day if she had weighed herself recently and she told me that she hadn't. She had noticed that she was weighing herself too often and wanted to break that cycle. It took me decades and years of treatment to be able to do that.

It's Elephant Appreciation Day! This holiday created in 1996 by Mission Media Inc. founder Wayne Hepburn. As the story goes, his daughter gave him a paperweight of elephants on parade as a gift. He became completely fascinated by them, and amassed an enormous collection of elephant books and other paraphernalia. His interest led to the creation of this day, where everyone can take a moment to reflect on these amazing creatures.
You may not realize just how unique elephants are! Here are 5 fun facts:
1) African elephants are the largest land mammals on the planet!
2) Contrary to cartoons, elephants don't like peanuts.
3) Elephants can live to be over 70 years old.
4) They are the only mammal that can't jump.
5) Elephants can cry, play, laugh, and have incredible memories!
Show how much you care about these gentle giants by donating to a sanctuary or foundation, or learning more about their habitat and behavior.
