hello hellooooo!!!!
Rainy, dreary Tuesday for us today. Hopefully the weather won't be making a mess out of my nice clean patio. I spent hours yesterday power washing the darn thing. Its small- maybe 10x20, mainly used to store our garbage and recycling cans, and some pots of herbs and our tomato plants. I used to be very good about sweeping up the dead leaves and acorns every spring, but I guess the last couple of years I slacked off and the concrete was just caked with dirt. I know! I did it just in time for more leaves and acorns again :D

But at least it will be in better shape for cleaning it out again in the spring, right?

Linda S- how was your quiet weekend? We are having the fam's Sept/Oct b-days at my house. Cait, MIL/FIL/SIL/my niece, FIL's cousin all have b-days between Sept 21 and Oct 6 so we'll do them aol at once!

Terry- good luck with working out! Wish I could get into a good routine too.

D- ugh, sounds so familiar about the lying and trust! Wish I had an answer to that too.

Nana- hope that your Monday was better than the weekend. hugs~~

Heather- did you get a lot of scrapping done?

morning O fam- workout in and ready for work- well- ready to shower for work- trying new routines to improve the quality of my day/week/life! I did not get fridays off- it goes by seniority and boss does not want to offer it to therapist in general- she understands my needs, but can't give it to me without possible issues with others- so I need to figure out what I want to do- first step- get myself/body and house in order to enable a good solution. I am moving ahead with all that needs to be done to continue to keep my job as we switch to a new company. I was able to get a full nights sleep (full being 5 hours before I woke up)!

Have a "T"riffic Tuesday!!

Morning ladies!!

Getting ready to work out, then walk, then work.

My life sounds boring Monday-Friday. It's the same old same old.

Laurie--I'm trying to improve my quality of life too. Trying to fit more in the days--become a little more productive.

Chris--come over to my place and power wash my patio too! Thanks for the reminder that I need to do something about that thing.

I've been trying to scrap a page this week---hit a brick wall. what I think is inspiration looks yucky. throw it out and start over. I need that super duper mojo to hit right about now.

Ya'll have a great day. Getting to work now.

Oh wow...is it pouring here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we may have gotten about 4 inches over night.....I see flooding in some areas coming soon!!

Cameran is suppose to have a soccer game this evening..but if the rain keeps up it will be cancelled..but if it stops...they play in the mud..EWE....I won't go....


Latest news on the snake...it's been over two weeks now...it's still missing...now they are saying "she" was pregnant...so she will be laying eggs somewhere....sounds like to me this is WHY she escaped (she is not going to lay her eggs in a tank....and if she is caged..HOW DID SHE GET PREGNANT?? :faint: Drinking the wrong bowl of water?? My poor Mom...she keeps her eyes to the ground, looking under things...they live within that 3 mile radius that they said the snake could be in. With the cold weather on the way....snake better head SOUTH!!
Well..the main task for today....take the two pair of broken glasses and see what they can piece together and make one good pair!!! Guess the lady (her name is Diane....sad that I know that) will probably greet me with a sympathy card..she is probably making them daily for me now!!!

wow, is it RAINING!! i had to go for some blood test early this A.M., and there are giant puddles all over the roads and highways. water flying everywhere. yuk.

Chris, the Fab 4 haven't been together, all at the same time, for about 20 years. i see some of them individually occasionally, and we're all in phone and email contact, but the IRL thing hasn't happened for a long time.

Laurie, bummer about not getting the Friday thing worked out. that would have been so NICE!

Terry, i SO get the hitting a brick wall thing with page inspiration. sometimes i have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in my head. nothing. usually, though, when Anna comes out with a new Artplay, there's at least one thing in the kit that launches me toward something. people always say to try a template, but i am usually a total loser with templates. the challenges and scraplifts also help me get going.

today? i have no idea. i was so intent on NOT EATING and trying to sleep as long as possible for my bloodtest that i didn't plan anything else beyond that. i guess there's always laundry and house cleaning. woot. :washing::Cry:

Eva, i like your solution to getting rid of a stupid day. i must try it. :eek:hwell:

hope the sun is shining where you are. and inside your head, too.

Nana, EWWWWW!!!! if there's one thing i HATE, it's snakes. i saw a photo the other day taken behind a van going down the road. there was a Burmese python wrapped around the guy's muffler and he didn't know it. if someone wants to make laws, one that i could actually GO for is prohibiting the private ownership of "exotic" animals. The Everglades are going to be like the jungles of Southeast Asia soon. full of snakes and things that bite and kill you...and your little dog, too.

Eva, oh if only today were cancelled.

I am tiiiired today. Which is funny, because I slept really well last night. It's finally feeling like fall here. What a sweet relief after this scorcher of a summer. Man, I'm just unmotivated today. I need coffee, but that would require getting up and making it. :)

ok Nana--I must have missed something. Fill me inon the snake episode--is it your snake? what kind of snake? How big?

The only good snake is a dead snake. Find that sucker and kill it!!

Funny story--when my youngest was small, oh about 4 years old, he had every critter you could imagine. One day he caught a baby snake. He had it in a critter cage--one of those little plastic things with a handle. His dad told him he could keep it as long as it stayed in the critter cage. Well--one weekend we went camping at the coast. The kid took the critter cage with the snake. On our way home--he was riding with me---he let the stupid thing out of the cage and it got loose in the car. I couldn't find it! Well, I'm driving down the highway and the snake stuck it's ugly head out of the air conditioner vent--hissing at me!! I about croaked. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road, threw the door open and am hunting for this snake trying to catch it. Well--not really---I'm standing back from the car, yelling at the little 4 year old to catch the snake. He's telling me "calm down mama, it's only a snake that wants to be friends." Never did find that sucker.

Oh, Terry, I would have had a heart attack! And I'm not even particularly s ared of snakes. The image of you and your four year old gave me a desperately needed smile though!

I managed to get 3 pages done the other day-woo hoo! Just got back from a great bike ride-nice & cool out I love that. The rest of the day is mine to scrap away!
Chris-I like a clean patio! You're right, you'll be glad you did it in the Spring!
Lauri-sorry you couldn't get Fridays off-that would have been awesome.

Hi everybody! I've been shamefully antisocial. But my family is back, and now it's like somebody hit the reset button and I'm back again!

Now I just need some mojo juice!

Speaking of "juice," Chris remind me, I want to put in an order for spray!! A friend of mine sent me this "pillow spray," that has.. well, I just found the list of ingredients. Here it is: LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL, CITRUS SINENSIS (SWEET ORANGE) OIL, HUMULUS LUPULUS (HOPS) CO2 EXTRACT, POGOSTEMON CABLIN (PATCHOULI) OIL, ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM (YARROW) OIL, MATRICARIA RECUTITA (GERMAN CHAMOMILE) OIL.

What a day.... Went to work and at 8:15, my heart started racing and skipping. But, of course, I had meetings so I just kept pushing through. Around noon, was feeling a little breathless but kept telling myself that it was all in my head. At 2 I decided that I needed to get it checked out. So told my boss I would be back by 4 and drove myself to the ER where they did an EKG, then slapped oxygen on me and all sorts of monitors and told me that I had an atrial flutter...or something like that. I called Brian and he left work and came to the ER, I called sister-in-law and she got kids from daycare and fed them and even got through homework and soccer practice.

They tried pushing an IV with meds for an hour but couldn't get back to a normal rhythm so they put me under and shocked my heart. And now the rhythm is normal... And I took a photo with my phone so watch for a scrapbook page coming soon.

They think that it is stress...yippee! Knew that... Might do some scrapping tomorrow to de-stress. Doctor suggested I stay home from work for a day!

Hellooo everyone!

Chris (((((hugs))))) bunny stories!! I will try to get in here and post some. I did lose another bunny, I wasn't as crushed as with Davy but that's just because I had 2 at the same time. If I was to lose my Frisky (he's 6) I'd be just as devastated, he's a little stinker and a mama's boy :). I'd love to hear your stories. My bunnies and other furbabies are what keep going through the tough times.

I still haven't made it through very many threads, we had another air conditioner guy here today....installing a brand new unit WOOT! We have central air for the first time in 6 years and with new duct work we can actually feel the air through the vents............but the weather has turned cool so we don't need it right now LOL such is my life, why couldn't we get the new a/c when it was 100+ for 3 wks?! Good news is now the heat and the a/c work AND we took the window units out of the windows so I just feel better. It is weird how such a little change can lighten a mood :).

Enough about me, I will really try and read a little and do some personals tomorrow.

Oh my, I read today's thread and I'm seeing slithery hissing things ewwwww, Nana Linda you can keep the snakes all to yourself ew.

Linda S I hope you feel better, that's quite scary especially getting your heart shocked back into rhythm. Are they going to have you do any other tests, like a stress test or ultrasound of your heart just in case? I will pray for your stress to calm down.

Heather, hi nice to meet you :). Congrats on the post count! It's always fun to watch it climb.

Jen, nice to meet ya, preggers? Do you know if you're having a boy or girl? You gotta tell me all about it so I can feel like I'm having a grandbaby 'cause the only way I'll be having any is if I either let a man kidnap my DD and make her fall in love with him or do something sneaky like telling her it's just a gyn appt and having her artificially inseminated....hmmmm that might not be a bad idea! buauuuahahahah, j/k but I really do wish I could have some grandbabies.

Andrea! Howdy do, I hope you are doing ok.

Okie, I really will be back and start learning more about the new to me Ofriends :).
