I am so happy that I got out in the yard yesterday since it looks to be pretty yucky and soggy today.
I got so many things done yesterday and it looks like I did nothing. Isn't that the way it always goes? All stuff that had piled up over the last few weeks, but now I realize how far behind I am with getting ready for the Sept Bash. My SIL emailed me to see what I needed and I told her I had no freaking clue. One more example of how I used to be so organized and now I throw my hands in the air.

I was happy to get into the yard but I get bummed this time of year that I am doing more in the way of clearing out the dead stuff than the planting and growing phase. I pulled out all of the impatiens and repotted some of the marigolds in their buckets. I don't think they will get enough sun but they look better than the spindly stems of the impatiens. I think the cukes are just about done as well. I pulled out two of the vines that were dead and there are only a few more blossoms on the two vines left.

My big project today is food shopping and then I have to figure out what to make/buy for the Sept Birthday people. It is for my MIL, FIL, SIL, and Leah. Leah's birthday was last week but with everything going on, it was not the time to celebrate it.

That is about it from here, hope you all have a fantastic day!

@tanteva hope you had a great day at work
Oh, how sad to hear about your friend's dad but nice that you will be able to see her again. Good luck getting everything worked out.
All of my fingers and toes are crossed that you have no issues at all with your trip.
The potatoes sound similar to what Cait made for lunch yesterday but she used rosemary. I love potatoes. As I was scrolling past the recipe is suggested to wrap some in a pita with grilled chicken or eggs, potential dinner idea for me and my weird dietary family :)

Kay- I am so happy that you are able to enjoy Bill's space as both of yours now. He must be happy to know that you are in there, smiling. Good for you keeping the cleaning/organizing going!!
How was the lunch with your friends? It is awesome that some of you are staying in touch.

@taxed4ever We knew that your Gary was going to keep you busy. LOL
That is horrible for your FIL and his eyes. My BFFs father had that too and I remember how frightening it was for him to continually lose vision. It is very hard to give up that independence of driving and living on your own. Maybe he will realize sooner than later that it is best for him and your MIL to move. She isn't all that mobile either-- how hard on all of you.
Yeah, I am proud of my kids and how they are truly good people. They did so much for Sam and Ian and Sam's mom/sisters- but Sam's family is their family by extension. My kids (like their mom!) don't have lots of friends but the ones they have they would do anything for.
I wish I had hot water pressure- one of the side effects of having a well. Water pressure is not a thing And every time I am at someone's house that has "city" water, I end up spraying myself b/c I turn the water on full blast like I would have to do here.

@Cherylndesigns Why are you trying to type on anything??? Please don't hurt yourself more.
How did the appt with the ortho go? Did s/he Rx bubble wrap too?

@felis Sending hugs back to you, thank you so much for your hugs and sweet words.
Leah's plushies are so adorable, even cuter n person. Thanks for the plug :D

And where is Nancy!? Has anyone seen her online at all? I know Eva said that her profile says she was online last week. Maybe she is off on another trip. Hope that you are having a good time wherever you are, Nancy!

Morning, gals. The smoke was so bad yesterday - could barely see the mountain just outside of town. And last night, the smoke odor invaded the house even though all the outside windows/doors were closed. Will be keeping the house closed up today even though the temp is only 64 outside this morning. Will be in the 90's again and for the next week! I am so ready for the cooler fall temps.

Had a wonderful time at lunch with the gals yesterday. We laughed and chatted for over 3 hours. Really lifted my spirits to be with them. I will be hosting it next month and maybe again in December. Also had a wonderful long chat with DD#2 online at our family chat time later in the day. Just the two of us this week but we talked for 1 1/2 hours. I was in the office for the chat and DD#2 really like the the changes I made there. Right before the chat, I had raised the office chair height so I could use the keyboard more easily.... which left the feet with just the tippy-toes reaching the floor. Moved a small footstool from the family to under the desk and that made it very comfortable to rest the feet on it.

Trudy, so sorry to hear about your FiL's eyes... know it is stressful for the whole family. Such a hard decision about what to do for both FiL and MiL. Losing their independence is a hard thing to accept. Sounds like MiL is more accepting of needing/accepting help in that area. Had to LOL over Gary needing your help most of the weekend with his projects and things he wanted to get done.

Chris, I knew your kids would do all they could to help their friend's family... they are good kids. Glad you were able to get a bit of work done in the yard/garden. Hope that helped ease your spirit some to be out there with the plants.

I agree, Cheryl... what are you doing trying to type!!! Wrap yourself up in bubble-wrap and rest that arm/shoulder, gal. <<< gentle hugs >>>

Wishing you all a good week.

Hello! Chris @faerywings I’m using my phone! I can hold my arm against my body and it doesn’t hurt. Can’t do it on my laptop. My ortho app was great. He said the fracture is clean and doesn’t need any surgery!!! Im so relieved! He was wonderful! I go back in 2 weeks and have to wear the immobilizer til then. He gave me a real nice padded one with a thumb hole. I’m styling with that. Lol. I looked on Amazon last night for bubble wrap suits but there all sold out. too many people falling.

Don’t mean to lv anybody out but typing on my phone takes awhile. Just wanted to touch base. Good news is I’m able to prop my arm up with a rolled up towel anf move my mouse so I can still scrap. Not for long periods but at least I can. I’d be boref out of my mind otherwise.
I’m going to ice my shoulder now so my texting is done for now. ❤️❤️❤️

Morning everyone! It is a cloudy grey day, but at least it is not because of smoke from forest fires!! Expecting some rain today, but it is supposed to be sunny for our hike tomorrow. We will see. Yesterday I was busy downloading a few new things so that I can get busy and scrap some pages. I am so far behind on the 52 Inspirations goodies, so I will have to get all that done today. Working on a new round door sign for the front door. I will take photos when I am finished. Oh darn I just got a message that SIL Linda is stopping by in a minute to talk about the In-Laws situation, so I am going to have to sign off here and hopefully catch up a bit later Sorry!! :(

I'll come to post regular a little bit later, but just want to show you for what I'm talking about
here.

So hello again. I decided just to edit extending this post as no one is post after me. The last days of summer, but here it's still feels like a summer at day time, although nights are got colder. So I'm making our autumn cleaning, which means that every inch from the cat house needs to be washed with bleach. Some fabric will be laundry and other directly replaced. Which reminds me, Chris, that I ordered four more sweaters, but only one was good for unraveling, (online shopping is treaky), so the others ended as an improvise cat's blankets.
I'm a busy bee this week, but I found something very calming into the seasons changes.

Chris, this is why I'm making lists sometimes seeing all crossed tasks is the only visible proof that something has been done :p lol.

Trudy, I definitely have to go back to scraping. And I hope that proverbs is right when said that appetite comes with the eating! Like you I also have many unwrapped 52 packs, and I just remembered that I have calendar project for finishing. I had prepared photos on the old computer, but when it burns, I postponed and totally forget it. Hope that you'll have nice weather for your hike tomorrow!

Cheryl, I have no doubts that your family helps you a lot, but I just have to repeat to you to take it easy and not pressure yourself too much! Sounds as a perfect time to finished watching planed shows! Or reading.

You know when you find a video on Youtube, and decide you can't watch it right now, cuz it's over an hour long & and it's too late? Then you end up watching like 15 videos that are like 10 minutes long instead. I'm such an idiot & now it's 1 am. LOL

Dear Felis. I’m trying to take it easy. I only have one arm. Lol. I’m not good at doing nothing. I can still move the moise so I can scrap. The only thing that really hurts is typing on my laptop. Good thing I can get on here on my phone. Yes my family has been babying me like crazy!
