Here she is! This is the puppy that we are fostering, she is sooo sweet! So skinny, it breaks my heart. she is ~7 months old and OMG- so affectionate. There are some issues with my dogs that I am sure will be worked out. Little bit of barking and food territory stuff. We are trying to keep her separated from my girls but this little bugger will leap right over the gate. We are torn between wanted to name her, keeping her name (Whiskey which is also Cait's BFFs puppy's name), or just calling her puppy. ;)
we also have noooo idea what combo of breeds she is, she was listed as a lab mix, maybe some pit but I don't see either of them in her. She looks like a mini-greyhound!
What do you think she could be?

Nancy- the BBQ sounds so good, I Iike wings- although I prefer mine to be boneless. That is funny that DH doesn't like corn actually on the cob. We had this discussion the other night about how to eat fresh corn.
Good luck to your DIL, must feel crazy to not have a classroom yet. Hope they figure that out soon.

Trudy- how wonderful your patio must look now with the glass all set in. I forgot that you guys got the patio heater, you will be outside a lot this fall.
I have a feeling that Amazon will have Outlander before Netflix. I saw an ad the other day on Amazon promoting it on Starz, which we also don't have. Some day!
Hope you get swimming and hiking back onto your schedule.

Rae- I didn't realize that Fear is back on, good because we are in TV-drought. Hope you got all caught on up work yesterday.
we leave tomorrow for the shore and the weather isn't going to be perfect but much better than we had heard a few days ago. Some sun and clouds with spotty showers which is a huge improvement over the nonstop rain we were looking at. I am packing so much, it is beyond insane, beach clothes, casual clothes for b-fast and/or shopping, a nice outfit for dinner, sweats and shorts.

In fact, I need to get packed before I head to clean. I have a feeling that I am going to be a bit distracted, although in a good way. :)

Plumber was scheduled today between 10 and 2 but just before 8 the company called to say he could be here at 8:30. So, I feel like a zombie but am up. He is replacing one faucet and repairing another. That will be great. (I know the rest of you won't think this was early, but believe me it is to us.)

Chris, I know nothing of dog breeds, so can't hazard a guess on the puppy. Fostering has to be a challenge as I know you'll all love her quickly. So nice the weather should be better than expected at the shore. Have to pack for all though. Don't wear yourself out cleaning!

HAGD everyone.

good morning - last night Charles, Luther and I all went to Liberty State Park to see the 911 lights. It is a beautiful site and makes remembering easier for me. My town lost 6 that day and one was the father of a girl in Zachary's high school graduating class. After this he was glad he was going to be a Marine. Me not so much! Luther was a star. He was awesome and friendly to those that wanted to pet him. And he was not so sure about the drive there on the way home he was exhausted. We hit construction on the way back and so it seemed to take forever. The worst part was that the cones started 5 miles before the workers even appeared. Like why was that? Just to cause drivers more anger. And OMgosh I am so glad that I don't have to deal with commuting. But we all had a great time. Today I have a doctor's appt just dermatology so should be fairly quick. Tomorrow I have the gyno appt and according to my family doctor he has that I don't have to do a pap exam past 65 if I have only had the same partner. That makes me so happy. Still have to do mamos but that is easy. My poor baby Devils goalies and defense had many problems in the last two rookie games losing 7-3 and 9-3. Not good. Some players really stood out so that is good. These players are still so young so they have time to get better. My Devils did sign one of my young defensemen to a 6 year contract and I like him so this makes me happy. Training camps should be opening soon.

Chris you foster puppy is adorable and yes so skinny! I can imagine he is affection starved so of course he will jump the gate. LOL. Have fun with him and I like the name Whiskey even if another dog has that name. Kids have the same names all the time.

Trudy congrats on the patio and it must be so fun to know you can use it more often. Hope you got back in pool. And I also loved the season premier of Outlander!

Rae glad you had fun at the party! I am sure that you got your work done! You are too organized not to finish.

Jean that plumber came early and you crack me up with 8:30 being too early. Congrats on those Indians and they just keep on winning! I will be cheering for them.

Have a great day all.

Morning my O peeps!! It is a cloudy morning, but we are supposed to have another fairly nice day today and tomorrow. Our hike tomorrow is along the Cowichan River so it should be nice temps for that! I am looking forward to getting back with the hiking group. Not much going on for me today, I have a parcel to get ready to send Heather, Mason and Hunter and I cringe at the thought of what it will cost to mail it :fear: But they are things that are needed so it is ok. I think that Heather is going to miss having Mason around as he is in Jr. Kindergarten 5 days all day! It makes her heart sad and mine too!! But it does give her some nice special time with little Hunter.

Chris - Your new baby is beautiful!! Yes so skinny, but hopefully you will be able to fatten him up a bit. How will you ever be able to say goodbye when the time comes?? I guess that is the most difficult part of fostering, you know you can't keep them all :becky: Hope your girls will adjust to the new arrival and all will be zen in your house of fur babies! Glad you will have some better weather than anticipated for your trip to the shore! Have a wonderful time and enjoy each moment! I hope you get to go somewhere nice for dinner!!

Jean - Ha, Ha that you think that 8:30 is too early for you!! I hope you catch a nap after the plumber leaves LOL. It will be nice to have the new facet! Hope you have a lovely day ahead of you, at least you have an early start for it.

Nancy - Sounds like you had a really nice time seeing the 9/11 lights! I bet they were beautiful! So much sadness for so many, but nice that they honour those lost on that terrible day! The worst part of the travelling is the road construction that goes on all summer and fall!! Not sure why there would be cones on the road so far before the actual construction?? Perhaps no one bothered to move them?? You will be so happy to see the Devils get started with training camp, hopefully the team will do well this year! Good luck with the Dr. Appts. today and tomorrow. I see my Dr on Friday and anxious to see what she has to say about my 30 lb weight loss LOL

:hello: Rae, we are probably cross posting! Are you still thinking of coming over to the Island?? Hope you got all caught up with your work yesterday and got some time to relax a bit!!

I need my coffee and then I better get this parcel ready to mail. I will hit the post office before I go to the pool this morning. Hope that it is not crazy busy in the lap pool, I doubt it will be, but who knows :noidea: Enjoy the day my friends!!

Good morning, ladies. I'm afraid to say it out loud....but I got all caught up on work yesterday! The first time since the beginning of summer. I was able to make dinner and then relax for the evening with Darrell and didn't have to disappear down into my office. We watched a few shows and I perused pinterest on my ipad, looking for more keto recipes. I need to do that more often, just relax, not scrap, not go into the forums and maybe spend more time reading some of my online magazines. I've hardly read any over the summer.

I went thru my clothes again and pulled out anything that although it might still fit, it isn't something I want to wear now. I put aside over half of my pajamas that will go to charity. I went thru my underwear drawer and pulled out all the old ones as I really like the new ones I bought this year that are breathable (fruit of the loom I think) and now don't want to wear the cotton ones anymore. My clothes have never been so organized LOL. Taz loved it as he kept snatching them and racing thru the house with them. Then we would trade for a cookie. He loves that game :)

My goal today and going forward, is to work hard in the morning, take an hour or so for a break at lunchtime to run errands, have lunch and maybe scrap a page, and then work hard again for a few hours at desk work, so hopefully that schedule will keep me on track and caught up except for those times I do holiday relief. It sure feels good to be caught up.

Chris - that photo is so adorable. I know your love and attention is going to do wonders for the pup. He is going to love his visit with you all. Enjoy your time with your mom and even if the weather isn't the best, it will be nice relaxing time for you. Enjoy it.

Nancy - I didn't know about paps after 65 not being necessary. I hate getting them done (as I'm sure all women do) and will be happy when I no longer need them.

Trudy - enjoy the hike tomorrow. We've got a bit of rain coming for tomorrow (combination day forecasted of sun, clouds, rain) so who knows. Yes, I do plan on coming out soon hopefully but now it's become more of a wish to just visit with you and not so much about the garden as I know it won't be the peak time to see it. We'll talk soon. I am trying to convince D to come too.

I'm getting to work now (need to follow my self-imposed schedule). Have a great day, everyone!

Chris, she is adorable! Remind me for some kind of Retriever. Whiskey wouldn't be appropriate for the owners with little childs, but it doesn't really matter in most cases they'll change the name, so choose what you feel that match to her for now. Hope she fast be socialized with your pets! You rock, girl!
