hey hey O-zies! How are you all today? I am doing ok. I have two mugs of coffee in my bloodstream. It is going to be in the 70's today so I just have to ignore the drizzle.
It was the same way all day yesterday. No big downpours but lots of drizzly mist and clouds.
I was able to get a lot of small things accomplished yesterday. Laundry, bills. cleaned up emails, and finished making these little "hands popping out of flower pots." I bought one at the dollar store but then realized I could make them at home so I made two more. And of course, I burned my fingers on the glue gun LOL
I also finished that scrap page for the numbers challenge. It looked very "flat" to me so I ended up layering it on top of a corkboard background. Now I am happier with it. I need to keep working on the book for my ILs Christmas gift of their Alaska photos. I only have a couple of pages done for that. (and I *hate* to say this, but Christmas gift season is going to be here
before I know it. :hurt: )

I have to clean my kitchen this morning since I made a mess with dinner-- French Toast in the crockpot, but now the CP needs soaking and scrubbing. but worth the work. Then I am off to curse my way through the supermarket.

Have a fab day!!

Jean- Please send some of that sun this way! I feel like I have no idea what it even looks like anymore ha!!

Trudy- rain, rain, go away! at least it was a decent day for you to catch up on the housework. The saw painting sounds like it is going to be gorgeous!
I am sorry that you are in the OMG Christmas is almost here Mode!!! too

Rae- what a fantastic photo! I have to say, however, that my very first thought was - hey that looks like the boots Caitlyn wears every day ;)
The photo walk must have been an interesting time, seeing what other photographers "see"
I have such a huge mix of emotions right now. I am so happy to read that Thanksgiving was such a nice time for you and Jen and B. I am relieved that she will be in a better facility. But I am so sad for you that you won't be able to see her as often. I can't imagine how much you are going to miss her. I am sending you ginormous hugs and so much love.

hugs to everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Its a big day today, B gets transferred in about 45 minutes. I'll be on pins and needles waiting to get a call from J later to let me know how it went. I'm pretty sure B will be overwhelmed but J will be with her to keep her calm. I hope we can go up tomorrow night to see her. I told D that we'll go once a week together for about 5 hrs and then maybe once a wk I'll go on my own for an evening if my work schedule allows me to get away a bit early. She might only be there for 1-3 months as they assess and treat, then will either send her back to Surrey (I sure hope not) while awaiting a home placement if that is the best option, or she comes home to us, or she gets transferred directly to a homecare facility directly. That'll all be sorted out in the wks to come as they work with her. My goal is to have B & J move in here by Xmas or early in the new year if B can live on the outside. Jen's lease is up in March so we need to get her moved in here before then. Lots of changes in our lives.

Today I have lots of work and will pop out at lunch time for a walk with Taz and pop into VV for Seniors Day to see if there are a few things I want. I've got some bags to donate to them too. I want a few more scarves (my obsession LOL) and am looking for winter jogging clothes.

Chris - 70....how nice. We are staying in the 50's and 60's now and mornings are already dipping into the 40's. ugh. Thx for liking my photo. What I like about it is the sunlight coming thru the bright colored trees in the upper middle, reflecting onto the boot and how it makes you wonder what the story is behind the abandoned boot.

I'm getting to work now, lots to do. Hope everyone has a great day and hope to pop in later and read all the personals if you all come by. It's been a bit quiet lately. Everyone is busy.

Morning ladies... Wow Tuesday already?? At least the sun is out and shining brightly today and will be for the rest of the week!! :bliss: What a difference from yesterday! I am awake for the 2nd time this morning :mmph: first time was at 3:30am and I tossed and turned for an hour and got out of bed. Puttered around in the kitchen for a bit and then wasted some time on Pinterest getting some ideas for Christmas gifts. Yes I said it...Christmas Gifts :gaah: it can't be that time of year yet, I am still waiting for summer to be back LOL. Chris I think you know exactly how I feel! I will not be going to the pool today, as it will just be too busy. The pool was closed for Thanksgiving Monday and so the lap swimmers who usually go on Mondays and all the swimmers who go on Tuesdays will all be there together fighting over a lane :becky: We need a second pool LOL. (can't see that happening anytime soon) Waiting for a facetime call from Heather and Hunter this morning. I am anxious to hear all about their visit with her brother and family.

Chris - Glad that you got your page done for the number challenge! I think I will have to try that one too! Hopefully it doesn't take the rest of the month to finish it off LOL. Try not to grumble too loudly as you fight your way around the grocery store today. :rollpin: I need to get started on my Calendars right away too, ugh so much to do and not enough hours in the day!

Rae - Wow I totally love your photo! It should be picked for the contest for sure!! I love the light and the way it makes you wonder what happened! But is that an empty syringe I see to the left? Well that totally sucks that you have to fight your way to the other end of the city to see B!! Can you take the sky train? Would that be faster? I know that traffic downtown must be a nightmare! I suppose the drive will be worth it knowing that she is being taken good care of! As I am typing this I see that you have posted before I got this done and I can imagine that you are very anxious to find out how the transfer has gone. I really hope that you can have both B and J at home with you very soon, what a change it will be for you all! I truly hope everything goes well!! Thinking of you so often and hoping that everything works out for all of you!

Alright my facetime call is coming in, gotta run :bolt: Have a great Tuesday ladies!

Another gorgeous day here and warm. Yesterday we got to 89, a new record for the date but thankfully the house is cool. I've even done some scrapping! Maybe we'll get out a bit this afternoon. Also need some groceries.

Chris, wish you could share this weather that's just right for you. Seems people start thinking Christmas gifts about August and here it is well into October. I know you and Trudy are both still looking for summer, so it is hard to imagine how late in the year it already is. In a few days it will be MUCH cooler here though. :fear:

Rae, you must be on pins and needles to hear how the transfer went. Can't be easy for B not really understanding it all. But sounds like she'll finally get what she needs. Wishing you all well with the big changes still coming in your life. I too like your photo and found interesting the contrast between sunshine and people in the background to the stark and mysterious boot and its area.

Trudy, glad you're getting sun too, but boo to the overflowing pool. Is there a hike for tomorrow? That saw sounds intriguing and you know we'll want to see photos!

Nancy, don't know when you'll be back, but guess you're hoping the Yankees come back to overcome Boston's series lead. I sure haven't wanted to mention the Indians' being swept by Houston. Oh well.

Wishing this sunshine could reach you all!
