Hey there and happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing really well today. No crazy dreams of hugging last night so that is good, I guess? I read an article in the NYT this morning about how "touch deprivation" is real and how people are finding ways to accommodate that- everything from hugging trees to weighted blankets.
Do any of you use a weighted blanket? I keep hearing that they are really helpful but when I did some research last year before Christmas, it seemed like the good ones are pretty expensive.
I got everything done on my list yesterday- everything but one thing if I am being honest, but it was a small thing
Scott said the interview went much better thanhe expected. They seemed to like his initiative especially in the development of the invasive plant remediation program he was working on at the ecology center. He said that they told him that he would hear from them one way or the other but also told him a little more about a second interview. Is that normal? It has been a really long time since I interviewed for a job and I have to say that the few I had were more formalities than anything, I was approached for most of my teaching jobs.
I made a realllllly good Amish Apple Fritter bread yesterday. It was easy even though I messed up the glaze. I used 1.5 Tbsp of butter instead of .5 Tbsp so I had to keep adding more sugar to get it sort of smooth. But it tasted really good anyway. (What is a little more sugar?
)
I have to pick up my groceries and then I *think* we are going to try to do some decorating. No matter what I do it will need to entail housework.
Sending hugs to all of you!
