CHEERY O
HellooooO lOves!
How are y'all doing today? I feel like I slept pretty darn good which is so nice. I am surprised since my heart was pounding after watching a TV show on our DVR just prior. No spoilers from me, although I am really ticked at some news headlines re: this show that I had to avoid- why the heck would you put spoilers in a headline, esp in this day and age of DVRs?
I stay far away from FB on Mondays just for that reason, but news sites? C'mon people! ;)

We had a really nice, spooky night just the 4 of us. Man, I miss that so much. Cait made pumpkin pancakes for dinner, and I roasted pumpkin seeds and made pumpkin crunch cake for dessert. The 4 of us watched Hocus Pocus together too. I lit all of the floating candles on the staircase and dang, they looked sooooo amazing!!! Two of them fell down so I have to retie them to the dental floss I used. One is having battery-induced technical issues, but I am going with the idea that is "haunted" and will turn itself on and off Bwuahaha!!!

I also got a lot organized for my F-W's order. I have to go through packaging/bottles etc next, compare prices for the stuff online and then place the order.

Today I need to dust a bit of the house, it has been a month since I did a good dusting/cleaning and with the cats and dogs shedding, it is getting bad.

That's about it from me, (my goodness, my life sans medical s*** is so darn dull!!!!!) and I hope that everyone has a fantastic day!

BTW-
Today is American Beer Day! Beer is the most popular alcoholic drink in the United States, where over 2,500 breweries produce more than 6 billion gallons annually. Breweries across America include large, well-known brands, regional beers, and increasingly popular craft breweries.
American beer is produced in a variety of styles, but the most popular is a pale lager. Other common styles include brown ale, IPA, porter, and stout. Fun fact: Americans drink more than 50 billion pints of beer each year—enough to fill 1 out of every 25 residential in-ground pools in the U.S.!
Celebrate American Beer Day with a nice, cold pint of your favorite American beer, a trip to the local brewery in your area, or a beer-themed free ecard!

I don't drink beer all that much any more, but I have been craving some of Sam Adams October Fest beer. My brother usually gives me a couple of bottles every year but he didn't this year
Oh well! Next year, maybe

From Monday:

Nancy- great news about no Jury Duty ATM.
How sweet of you and DH taking care of Rex together and how you worry about him. Do you think you might get a dog after Ashely brings him back home? It is hard living in a house (or even visiting, like when I go to my mom's lake house and I don't bring them with) without puppy slobber, or kisses as I like to call it. Haha!
Thank you sooooooo much for understanding how Brendan changes thing. It is o weird, I mean, he could be upstairs playing video games but it is still not the same. I am not good with confrontations either (unless you mess with my family) but I feel horrible about making Cait deal with a lot of it, since she is his GF, puts a lot on her shoulders. If you have any other advice onhow to deal with some of these isues, I would *love* to hear them.
Speaking of Cait, she asked me to help her braid her hair so I am off to do that.

Be back soon!

Good Morning
Glad you had a great evening Chris, check you pm!
Well Chris, here is hoping this brings a smile to your face, it has taken ages to do this, trying to get the light right and the textures
Happy Halloween!

It is a misty morning here, need to get off up to the parade to take our remaining spring bedding up to our hairdresser who is going to pop them in her pots. Nothing much happening here, which I like very much, have been working on my ghostie layout and will do something with all the autumn photos i took yesterday once I have done a few chores.
Have a great day everyone

Just got your PM and thank you, Claire- I love spooky stuff! Your LO came out amazing!
Sounds like a very good idea to walk in the opposite direction on the trail, too many people and sounds get inside my head and that stresses me out.
Hope the paving goes quickly for you. They are doing a lot of that around town before the snow falls and the plows dig up the chunks of patching they have been doing for the last several years.

Trudy- I bet that rain is a happy, happy sound to you. Are your water levels coming back to normal yet? That is a bummer about no pics on the hike. It is so hard to capture on camera what you see with your eyes. At least for me ;)
You are right about me needing to ask for help- where is Phyllis when I need a kick in the a**??? I hope that your IL's get that too, it must be so hard on you to not know what they need. I will keep that in mind for myself.

I had been seeing online coloring books for adults too, and now I don't know where I saw them. Guess I should google that. Do any of you remember those geometrically shaped coloring books back int he day? They were just triangles and squares and you could color them however you liked- they would be cool to have now- bet it would be soothing for my brain :D

Music-- OMG, in a few years, I am going to be totally bragging on about my godson. When we were at his house last week he was playing on the piano. His "music" actually sounds like music, not just random pounding on keys. There was tempo and rhythm-- it was mind blowing to hear him. he is 4, never had a lesson in his life but adores all things musical. My brother and SIL are not especially musical, so it is always neat to see where he might get things from genetically, since he was adopted. Neat stuff :)

How is Mason doing? Is he still having fun at school? Hope so!

Dasha- I honestly don;'t know how you can stand the cold weather for so long. Sending you steaming cups of hot chocolate to keep you warm. Or is that why you love all of your hunks? *fans face*
I love board games, which ones do you play? Hope that you get your letter today too! Happy Wed. when you read this!

good morning! The moon last night was gorgeous! My girlfriend, her daughter and I had our Monday dinner out and the moon is just spectacular. Perfect for Halloween! We ate at Panda Express a fast food Chinese. I had never eaten there before and wow it was really good. Lots of food and not too expensive. Got in two good walks. Rex really is a sweetie. Read a book so no scrapping but every once in awhile I have to read. Got txts from my son that he and his girlfriend are back in DC and that they had a really good time. So he should be driving here today. Tonight is a home hockey game so that will be fun.

Chris as good as Rex he still requires attention. He has such a sweet personality but he still has to be taken outside, he still needs to be walked and played with and he can't be left for days. So no I will not be getting a dog after Rex goes home. Chris I laugh when you say you love doggie kisses because I really don't! Glad you had such an awesome night!

Claire love the page! Very spooky indeed! The walk looks like it would be so fun! I totally agree not having a lot to do can be great!

Trudy hearing rain at night is a wonderful sound. We are getting rain tomorrow so I am not sure what I will do with Rex. Be prepared for muddy paws. Your hike sounds lovely.

Dasha I am prepared for cold but glad that is still in the 60 here.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Oh so dark here this morning, but hoping that the sun will make an appearance later this morning! Swimming day today and I think it will be a struggle to make my quota for laps today. I did not sleep very well last night so I will be dragging my butt today! I bet I woke up 8 times with a tickle in my throat, coughing and needing a drink of water. Then of course a pee break and then tossing and turning for a bit. :mmph: I hate those kind of nights!! Yesterday was a good day, I actually got a few calendar pages made and so feeling a bit less stressed about getting that job done on time. Then had a nice visit with my sister who lives in town after she got off of work. We always have a fun time together, she is very easy going and makes me laugh!

Chris - Sounds like you had the perfect evening with your family!! How wonderful to spend that time together! Looking forward to seeing your floating candles, and you keep telling us you have no talent for crafts LOL. Our water levels are pretty much back to normal now and heard some good news that this winter we will have lots of snow on the higher elevations, so hooray we should hopefully have lots of snow pack this spring. Mason is having fun at play school and is starting to settle in a bit better with it now. Its hard to know just what he does, because DD only gets a note sent home with him to say what kind of a day he had.

Claire - Love your spooky layout!! You did an amazing job with it! Hope you enjoy your day with not much to do, I love those days too!!

Nancy - I am the same as you about dogs, I like them and think they are great, but as long as they belong to someone else LOL. Not a big fan of doggy slobber (sorry Chris) What book are you reading? I don't seem to be able to get into any books since Outlander Series of novels and anxiously waiting for Diana Gabaldon to hurry up and finish the next one!!!

Hope everyone else who pops in today has a great day!! I am off to get a few things done here at the O and then off to swimming and hopefully back at working on the calendars this afternoon.

Good morning everyone, popping my morning thoughts on here, excited to see my spooky layout got a mention on the GSO blog
Dasha Keep warm that temp sounds very very cold
Trudy glad you have the rain, you can have ours anytime, hope the swimming went well.
Nancy hope your son's visit went well, and that the hockey game went well.
Chris I remember those shape colouring books my son liked them I have heard of adult colouring books but not seen them.
Waving hi to Jean how many pages have you done for your holiday album, keep seeing layouts in the gallery so guess quite a few.

The road noise here is deafening so off out for a while to get away from it will be so glad when it is all laid and finished with.
