Good morning and Happy Tuesday! I am going to make this quick. I am running late and I don't want to forget that I am picking up my grocery order this morning instead of my usual on Wednesday.
I kept myself busy yesterday puttering in the kitchen. I cleaned out the pantry cabinet and tossed a bunch of stuff that was stale. Set aside a few things that were for Scott. And somehow-- don't ask me how-- I have less room in there than when I started.
Today is going to be a good day to get into the attic. It's 38* now, but supposed to get into the 60s so I won't freeze my butt off up there. This afternoon I am going to do some raking. The good/bad thing about living next to the woods is that I have a place to rake the leaves (no bagging necessary!) but dang, there are a lot of them.
Personals:
@taxed4ever That would be amazing if you get a discount on the blinds.
Can you share the soup recipes? They both sound delish! I have a butternut squash and was going to make butternut "alfredo" with it but Cait is in a complete soup mood. I am making baked potato soup tonight. The buffalo chicken soup sounds really good too but I don't know if I can make that vegetarian. I can make Buffalo chicken pasta and buffalo chicken wraps vegetarian but my guess is the soup will be harder.
@BrightEyes yes, I can see that rereading books is like visiting an old friend. I had read something similar about rewatching shows and movies- one of the reasons shows like Friends revived during Covid.
That's going to be a quick visit with your niece but I know you will fill it is lots of laughter.
@Cherylndesigns You have every right to be calendar-confused! And phone-confused too.
The book was both intense and matter-of-fact at the same time. I don't want to let any spoilers slip so I won't say anymore, but dang.
I haven't read Clan of the Cave Bear. I remember when the movie came out but I don't remember anything about it. I will look for it on Hoopla/Libby.
Glad that you had/have the doggies to keep you company.
@vickyday yes, the author was Ann Fairbarn
