CHEERY O
Hello and good morning. A happy Tuesday to you all!
How was everyone's Monday? I'd love to say I took care of everything on my list, but that would be a lie. :footinmouth:
Once I started cleaning the downstairs, I saw that it was much dirtier than I thought. I spent about 3 hours on that, took a break for lunch, then went on to finish the meal planning and shopping order. I only had an hour or so to study for the Forestry Badge before starting dinner. At least I feel more confident that I can explain Forest Management and Silviculture. And nooo-- silviculture isn't a friendly gathering of AARP members. :floorlaugh:
I still need to review Tree ID, focusing on the bark and branches since some of them won't have leaves.

After I pick up my groceries and prescriptions, I have to write and scrap my AJ week 4 that has to be posted by tomorrow or @AK_Tracy is going to :killer:
I think November will be the last one where I can afford all of my Rxs. My insurance company sent me the "window shopping" link to the 2026 Health Insurance plans. It's bad, very, very bad. To get the same plan that I have now, my premium of going to at least double, and my deductible is going to triple. Generic Rxs are going from $10 to $35, no name-brand coverage. And Drs are going from $15 to $25. And all of that includes the subsidies that might not get renewed. pfft. Good thing I am young and healthy and don't need health insurance. /s
I am debating if I should drop my Vision insurance or my dental insurance. Learning towards Vision because if anything medically happens to my eyes, I'll be (sort of) covered but if anything happens to my teeth, I won't be.
So stupid. It's just so stupid.

Well, I don't want to sign off on a cranky and frustrated note... So tell me something that made you happy recently!
For me, it was something very simple. I was cooking dinner last night when Caitlyn came in from work. She came to the stove and gave me a big hug and told me she loved me. For no reason, just because.
Oh, and one other really big thing, my BFF had her first Post-surgery mammogram and got the all-clear and goes back in a year! dance4

She is very independent so I told her that we both needed this to honor Angie.
You are such a kind and thoughtful person. :hug3:
Have a fun time at the pumpkin trip with the kiddos!! Take loads of pictures too :cameraclick:

Good Morning Ladies!
Can someone please explain to me where the weekend went? I swear Chris said it was almost here and we could all enjoy it and relax. But I think I blinked and it was gone. Life is moving at warp speed. I feel like I am failing in the O news but honestly, it happened last fall too so it must be October that moves at warp speed leaving me little time to do anything here. I have 3 LO done for challenges. How is it the 20th and I dont have them all done? this is not normal. Wont be too long and surgery 3 will be here and I think mentally I am ready but maybe not as my shoulders are letting me know they're tight. Well, need to start my day. Just wanted to say HI!!!!
Yeah, i wish I knew where Time was flying off to. Seems to me missing, along with the single socks and random Tupperware lids.
Did you ever get to the chiropractor? Lots of relaxed muscle vibes to you~~~~
I did get a cute page done using the Art Addicts new collection, Autumn Whispers! Those animals and children are so precious! I'm looking forward to using it on my monthly reviews, too!
Is this the same one that Kay was talking about? If I ever find time to scrap for myself this week, I am going to have to check it out!

Well... let's see... I have been busy scrapping this month - almost back to normal. Yesterday, I did 3 Color Play LOs (for release this Friday). I did the regular 7 monthly challenges and some pre-release LOs, and FWP LOs...hmmmm... 24 LOs and working on a couple more Color Play ones. But then.... I don't have a job nor family living with me so I have had plenty of time to scrap.
:multitasking: For real, you are a super-scrapper.:) :bowdown3:
This surgery is kicking my butt. Pain pills are barely touching the pain and I ran out of anti nausea and waiting to hear bsck from dr. Cannot sleep. All I can say is my other one was easier and this can get better sooner than later.
I am so sorry that this time is kicking your butt. Lots of get well thoughts to you xoxo
I made keto tortilla pinwheels yesterday for game day and they were all eaten and I made another batch for me and Jen later in the evening. Jen said it is her new fave appie/sna
mmmm! recipe please! I bought street taco tortillas and they are too small for much of anything, so maybe I can use them for this recipe. If not anyone have a suggestion so I don't have to throw them out?

Back home finally. Ended up going to 4 different stores... And the 4th one was the charm... He had a wonderful firm mattress that was better than any other one I laid upon. Glad I had tried out several different mattresses before I got to his store. Got it on sale for 45% off and sale on the platform base plus discount on delivery/etc. And to make it even better... they will haul off the old mattress and frame. And the icing on the cake... they will deliver it here tomorrow morning!!!
Yipppppeeeee!!! Everything fell into place, didn't??? Enjoy your good night's sleep!

Good morning. This is a quick in and out because we have pumpkin patch this morning. My niece had asked my nephew if he wanted to take a sack lunch or have "Winda" take him to eat lunch and bring him home. He definitely wanted "Winda" to take him to McDonalds for a "Happy Toy". Well his mom got the details back from the teacher and the kids will get to eat their lunch and then play some more. So Bo will eat his sack "snack" because he told his mom that he thinks "Winda" will take him to McDonalds anyway. He may have "Winda" figured out.

My nephew texted last night and asked if I was still willing to help transport kids during the week. Of course I am. So we are getting together on Thursday evening to work through the details. Going to be interesting winter for sure.

Ok I'll be back after the Pumpkin Patch for personals!

Morning, all. Woke up before 6AM... ugh!!! Gave up and got busy. The bedding striped from my bed.. sheets in being washed. The rest of the bedding is folded and in the guest room out of the way. All is ready for the new mattress and frame to be delivered between 10 and noon. Heard something different... and just realized that the heat has come on... it is 44*F outside. :cold: Guess it is a good thing that I got dressed in long pants and long sleeve top today!!! High temps will fall into the 50's-60's by the weekend. So we are moving into the colder weather soon. Think it is almost time to make a pot of lentil soup and/or enchiladas sauce... maybe both. :floorlaugh:

DD#3 is calling... BBL

Good Morning Ladies (said in Robin Williams Voice for Good Morning Vietnam)
Cant type that without hearing Robin Williams. My mind thinks in movie quotes but they're usually 80's movie quotes. Way back when I was young and free and had time to sit and watch the movie 100 times. Yep, when someone says "so" I sing in my mind and sometimes out loud, sew a needle pulling thread...... Anywhoo

And nooo-- silviculture isn't a friendly gathering of AARP members. :floorlaugh:
:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: So glad I had finished my coffee prior to reading this!!!! :coffeescreen:
I have to write and scrap my AJ week 4 that has to be posted by tomorrow or @AK_Tracy is going to :killer:
What????? Me????? :killer: I wold never. Maybe guilt but never an axe. :floorlaugh:
my BFF had her first Post-surgery mammogram and got the all-clear and goes back in a year! dance4
This is the bestest news ever!!!!!!!
Did you ever get to the chiropractor? Lots of relaxed muscle vibes to you
Yeah *sigh* I did. My guy had surgery and so I saw the sub. She doesn't have the strength to totally crack my tight back. So while it was good, it didn't get everything I had hoped. I will try again next week. I even saw the massage lady first to help loose me up. it was disappointing to say the least. I cant wait for the doc to heal and be able to get back to work. I need him to crack me like no-one else can. Its my upper back, between shoulders. All my stress and worry sit there so its always tight like a pickle jar lid. Doesn't budge.
he told his mom that he thinks "Winda" will take him to McDonalds anyway. He may have "Winda" figured out.
Awwwwww this is the sweetest thing ever!!!!! he sure does have Winda figured out. He knows a tender heart when he sees one. This is the most adorable and needs to be a fun LO with photos of you both at McD.
Heard something different... and just realized that the heat has come on.
:giggle4: Those fall sounds we forget and then wonder what the heck was that???? My house popping at night as the temps drop to the high 20's always freaks me out the first couple nights cause its been so long since I've heard that sound.

Surgery count down is happening. I cant wait and yet I also cant wait to be 6 weeks post op when I feel I can take on the world again! Linda since you weren't here last year, I've been having lipedema surgery. They remove the fibrotic fat tissue that is like frozen peas, hard nodules under the skin that are 3 times heavier and hurt. My daughter did it too and its been life changing. So far I have had two done, lower legs and front of thighs. Its amazing how much easier it is to move and stand and just do life. I have 2-4 more surgeries to come as the doc is limited on amount removed each time.

Well, there go the dogs, demanding breakfast. Better get my day started. Have a wonderful day!!

Im not sure what Kay might have said about.....my page, or the kit?

Well, my new mattress and platform frame is in place.... love it!!!! The 2 delivery men were so kind and patient with me as they assembled the platform base (6 legs on it plus adding the brackets to it to attach my headboard). Turns out that the platform legs lifted the headboard-legs off the ground by almost 3". After they left, I realized that all I needed to do to stabilize the headboard was slide a 3' thick book under each headboard leg.... that made it like each leg of the headboard was flat on the ground!!! :claphands2: :dancing6: I knew that those old dictionaries would come in handy one of these days!! :floorlaugh: The bed is all made and ready for me... Then I did a quick run to Sam's and picked up 2 more Queen bed pillows (like the ones I already have)... and remembered to get a big container of coffee! Also made a quick stop at the Credit Union to pay the bill that was due on Thursday and got home just before the getting-off-work traffic starts.

I hope the future surgeries go as well as the ones you've had! :praying2:

Good afternoon!
It has been a down-the-rabbit-hole day of looking through pictures!
Besides that, I went to lunch with Mark!
He is in the woods as we speak.
I'm getting ready to fix some bacon and French toast for supper.
Have a great evening!

The books to balance the headboard is a hoot!!!!!

I hear you Chris, I do. It's a sad, sad situation and the worst is all those people playing with one of our NJ reps put it, "other people's cards". And lives... Sending hugs and lots of understanding...
Huge, huge worries and "stupid" indeed..... :hug4: :beatingheart: :hug4:
