Wow, it was so cold here all day yesterday, but today it is going to warm up a bit. Since we had a frost, I can get those seeds planted today.

Can I just say how I adore my kids? They are so fun. We went to the pumpkin patch that we have gone too the last - don't even know how many years- and they did the same routine that they do every year. They pick up the pumpkins, examine them, rate them on their shape, color, stems, the whole bit. They compared one pumpkin to me and rated us on Fashion Sense, Sense of Humor, Color, and some other things I can't remember. The Pumpkin won and was declared their new Mom.
After we get them, we go to the animal area, where they have chickens and goats. Scott is exclaiming over and over how it "is the best day of his life!" because he is feeding a goat and chickens! Then we so the pumpkin triva game (you would think we would know all of the answers by now!), wave good bye to them all before we leave. We had discussed if we should go with Leah and Brendan, but they wanted it to just be the 3 of us.

Everyone should be here on Saturday, so the plan is to carve pumpkins, roast the seeds and watch Hocus Pocus. :)

RD appt went well. When she compared Cait's food intake from when she first went there 3 months ago, it was shocking. But she is making slow and steady improvements which is perfect. We are going to go back to see her after Cait sees her Lyme dr, who had told her he wanted her to gain 10 pounds which is something you don't say to some one with a history of an eating disoorder ;). She will help Cait reassess, fine tune what needs to be done and we'll go from there. I still cannot believe that this is a free service for anyone.

Today is going to finishig up the yard clean up. Getting ready for food shopping tomorrow. Scrapping???? I hope so!

hugs and love and all good stuff!!!

Let me start out with a QOTD
Caitlyn and I were talking about names the other day. How one of her friends is trans and switched "her" name to a male name, but it didn't feel right so he chose a new male name. Another of her friends has a total disconnect with her given name. She loves Caitlyn, but doesn't like "Cait," and I am one of the very few people who she doesn't mind calling her that. I don't "feel" like a Chris or Christine. But the other choices my mom would have called me were Catherine or Carmella (after my great g-ma). Neither of those feel like "me" either.
Do you have a story behind the name you have? Does it fit? If you could re-name yourself, what would it be?

I hope that you will answer this because I really find it fascinating.

Nancy- Did it warm up by you? I think it stayed in the 40's here, but should get up close to 60 today.
That win over the Rangers is a good one!! WTG!
So sweet of you to be watching Rex. Have Ashley leave a blanket or t-shirt with her scent on it so he would have too much separation anxiety. And your DS meeting the mom... getting serious??? I bet it is nice to see him happy!!

Crud! Al of my blabbering and I am really late. I'll be back!!

double crud. Cait just called from the school bus that she left her phone here. God forbid a kid goes without a phone... *eye roll*

Trudy- I HATE tech updates! Sorry to hear that your Mac and Photoshop are not working correctly together. Were you able to figure how to fix it?
I finally was looking into some of the features of Windows 10 and I did something to it that is different. Don't know what, don't know how! :pound:
I hear that this winter is going to be a harsh one for the north east part of the continent. I hope that I am not in that area, but it sounds like Heather might be?

Hi Claire! Hope all is well with you too!

Trudy- at least your country doesn't have Donald Trump running for president...
Are you happy with the election results? From what I am seeing here, a lot of environmentalists are relieved that Harper is out. I hope that Trudeau (did I spell that right?) is good on the rest of the issues too.

I sent my ballot in the other day, all local elections here. I was excited to vote for a Green Party Candidate and last year I voted for a Republican for town council. See, i am very open minded. :bowl:

::grouphug to all of you!

good morning - no frost on the ground this am! Yea! Well the first day with Rex went well. We play for while and then he rests. I love to walk so I got out the leash and harness for Rex and off we went. Ashley thought that he would pull me and he does want to go way faster than I do but luckily he had so many new smells that he slowed down. And by the end he was getting tired and so again that slowed him down. My only goof was not brings the plastic bag for his poop. I had tissues so I was able to get off their grass and into the street. It was good for him to get out and it was good for me too! I went on a late afternoon walk with my girlfriend and then went to dinner. So I felt good and slept well! My kitty has decided that she now likes to sleep with me. LOL Tonight will be good as I am off to see my NJ Devils play against the AZ Coyotes.

QOTD before I forget - Nancy was my mom's favorite name but my granddad hated it so he always called me Nicki. He was the only one so it never stuck. So I do feel like a Nancy and I like it because it is a rare name. My middle name Ruth was the first name of both my Grandmothers so I like that name a lot.

Chris glad the appt with the RD went so well and that Cait is seeing positive results. Your pumpkin trip sounds like such fun!

Trudy it was funny watching Canadian hockey show during my lunch hour they talked about how everyone should vote! Saw on twitter during the Blue Jays win that the Liberal Party won. I always feel that your elections are fast and done. Our candidates start more than two years before the election. It is so tiresome!

Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Morning ladies... just popping in quickly as I am still having a terrible time trying to get my Mac up and running properly again. Dam El Capitan upgrade!!!! It works on the computer just fine, but not playing with my photoshop very nicely at all!!!! Can't seem to find a fix other than going back to my old operating system. Which would be great if I could just do it!! I will never brag about how wonderful my mac is again!! It is coming back to bite me in the but! So I am out of commission for a while and hope to get this problem fixed very soon! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

My Mum found our hours before WE were born that she was having twins. She had three girls names ready, so I got Claire which was one of them and the name of the nurse as my other.

Cait's appt seems to have gone well, sorry about your computer Trudy.
Our elections were in May so no more for 5 yrs hopefully.

Noticed the senior screen for today at the cinema was a documentary style, a year in the life of a Teesdale farming family, my brother was a farmer too.

Off to unzip my downloads I got the third draw in the designer spotlight so spent it in the store this morning

Lovely day here and warmer. They say we had frost, but I don't think in our yard.

QOTD: Jean is not my first name, which I dislike, but my middle name. My family has called me Jean longer than I can remember, so it goes back to early childhood.

Chris, your yesterday all sounded wonderful. You and your children do have a lovely rapport and shared sense of whimsy. Hope today goes well too.

Nancy, so nice to like your names! Enjoy the Devils tonight.

Trudy, if you stop back, hope the computer problems get straightened out. What a bummer! Also hope the young Trudeau is good for Canada (and I have to hope for the U.S. too.)

Claire, goodness, your mum must have been surprised if she didn't learn about having twins until the last minute! Yours seems a lovely name. How nice to have elections over for five years!

Hi to all and a happy fall day.
