GooooOd morning my O-Fam!!!!! How are you today?
This is going to be quick as I am running late and my darlin' Catzilla has been rubbing all over me and my keyboard.

My mom and I had such a nice day together. She was cracking me up. She has gotten somewhat cranky/negative and *suspicious* of everything over the last year or so. I have been "kindly" lecturing her that she should try to be more positive- like the car that cut her off most likely did not do it on purpose, but perhaps did not see her well. or that the postal worker didn't deliberate put her mail in someone else's mailbox ;) Yesterday she tried very hard to be positive, pointing out every time she chose a happier thought over a negative one. hahaah!!!
We did great at Kohls! Saved $187, and only spent $110. I say we, but I mean her. She treated us all. She got three new tops and so did I!! woot!!!

Today we are off to the Lyme dr for Gary. Hopefully we can figure something out about why he is just feeling worse and worse.IMHO (again, I am not a doctor, I just play on on TV and the Internet LOL) he needs to do his IV every other day, I think every day is just too much. But what do I know? Our dr is great, well based in the actual scientific research of lyme, not the crap that the IDSA and CDC put out.

Warning: Rant coming on!

If you follow me at all on FB you have seen some posts and shares by me about this freaking "Lyme Conspiracy Theory" and it is pissing me off like you would not believe. Talk about feeling disrespected by just about everyone-- Its fine if you want to bash a political candidate on a political blog-- but the comments about Lyme patients has my head about to explode. Can you imagine people making such comments like "Chronic Lyme is for crazy people" or "They just want attention" or the worst one-- Lyme patients are up there in crazy-land like Michelle Bachmann" (No offense if you like Michelle Bachmann but ya gotta admit she is a bit "out there" on some of he ideas)-- to a cancer patient? Like I *want* live like this????
I want attention???? aaaarghhhh!!!!!

Uh-oh.... here I go again.

Poor Gary had to listen to me yelling about this last night. Very few things truly make me frustrated and angry but this is one of them.

Tip on Tuesday:
Faery will stay away from Lyme discussions on political blogs today.

Morning O fam- Chris- I think we should have changes in our political process. The speaker at my conference was from BC and she said they have two weeks to campaign and all candidates get to spend the same amount of money- wouldn't that be nice!! Today's workout is done and getting ready for the work day is beginning! Have terrific tuesdays everyone!

I'm fighting my brain today ... which should be easy since I'm stupid ;)

Don't know if you have this saying in English, but here in Sweden we say "Bad things come in groups of three". Can't stop thinking about that now with my sister waiting for the results of the xrays & catscan + dad in the hospital with an infection & poor heart. The thought was there when I woke up this morning (too (/&/%&¤ early thanks to puking cat), and I try to not think about it. Audiobooks & chores.

Now I'm taking John to the dental nurse for his half year control. He's been doing fine through all this, bless him. He had a meeting with the fysio therapist yesterday, and thank you Lord, he liked him, and decided to give this exercise thing a go. So, 4 appointments booked for the next 2 weeks. I hope he will like to do the exercise and start building a healthy body. (which I'm sure will help builing a healthy soul.)

Chris, there's nothing worse than know-it-all "non-believers" when it comes to chronic disease. i find this happens when the Medical Community has no good treatment or explanation for something. all of a sudden it becomes "psychological." i always have a sort of nasty pleasure when MEN come down with one of these diseases, (NO offense to Gary, Chris. it's just a "woman" thing with me) because then they can't play up the angle that "women have this disorder, so it must be psychological." i find it hard to believe that Lyme has this "disbelief" trouble, though. it is absolutely well-documented and proven REAL by the people who apparently COUNT when deciding which diseases are "real." i think that a lot of it has to do with how you handle yourself when you come down with this crap. whine, and you whine alone. (unless you have a good friend or doctor who GETS IT!!) that is just how it is. so the best thing to do is be "a good little sick person" and get on with your life. and HAVE a life. Darryl Hall (of Hall and Oates) has Lyme, and he's living life, though a somewhat smaller one than he used to. i once wrote a MAJOR RANT to Terry Gross on NPR when she did a show about a disorder that was SO off-base, and i used the same example as you: just imagine talking to a CANCER patient like this!!

you know, once "they" used to call Multiple Sclerosis "the Faker's Disease." and once, "they" used to treat Diabetes with iron injections. so. screw the disbelievers. as you said: who WANTS to live like this??

whew. well. that did me some good. but, you know, in the end, it's all about getting off the couch and just getting on with some living. you can't change what mean people think. all you can do is decide what YOU'RE going to do. that's true across the board, i think. good luck, Chris.

no idea what's on the agenda yet for me today. it's going to be raining a lot, so maybe something in my house will get cleaner or more organized than it is at the moment. woot.

enjoy Tuesday. and every other day!

Laurie, i often thought of that when i first started listening to the CBC (Canadian radio.) wouldn't it be a RELIEF to have the campaigning over with? but then again, sometimes it takes a long hard slog to see who someone is. look at John Edwards. that slimer was almost the Vice-President!! since the media doesn't do its investigative job anymore, sometimes it just takes a lot of TIME to get at even a little BIT of the truth.

Eva, where i grew up, we have that saying, too, about things happening in 3s. i hope your family has some good news soon. this is the time of life when it all starts going to hell. aging parents, teenage kids, health problems. i hope you get something positive to attach yourself to. it's good about your son liking his exercise guy. that's something good. and you still have your sense of humor, which is REALLY good.

WOW are we on a roll today or what? I'm with ya on it too---I just chalk it up to ignorance.

I have this theory--I only have so many brain cells and time in this lifetime. I certainly don't want to waste them on something like this---so I stay away from it. The theory goes for people to---really anything.

It rained like a big dog last night. Wondering what kind of weather we are in store for today.

My exciting life--work today. Trying to find time to scrap tonight.

Morning sweet "O" friends... Wow listen to all of you wise women!! I am with you on your outlook on life and the people who just don't get it when it comes to chronic disease!! My MIL's good friend has a daughter with lyme and it has totally changed her life! Happily she has a great attitude about it and has decided to get on with her life in spite of this horrible disease and she is doing better, good days and bad days, but like you say Phylis if you whine then you whine alone.(sad but true) Anyway...

Chris - I sure hope that Gary starts to feel better! what a lucky man he is to have such a great wife to care for him!! We are here for you sweetie, pay no attention to the Conspiracy Idiots, they don't have a clue!!!

Laurie - It's true what you heard about politicians in B.C., when I was down in the States for my holiday, I could not believe how many commercials and news shows had nothing but politicians ranting and raving and playing their mean little games on them, you guys must get sick of listening to it! No offense to my American friends, I love you! but oh my gosh it is a long drawn out process!

LindaS - :bolt: was that you that just flew past?? Have a great day !

Phylis - I think that you are one of the wisest women that I have had the pleasure of meeting (wish it was face to face!!) I love your words of wisdom and your wonderuful sense of humour!! thanks for making my day!!

Eva - How great that your son is liking his new exercise trainer!! Hopefully he will get him started in the right direction! It really sucks that you are having all of this trouble right now! Yes we have that same saying in Canada too, lets hope that three good things will happen for you now!

Terryb - Could you send some of that rain this way please!! We haven't had a drop for over 2 months now, hmmm maybe I better recant that request, once it starts raining here I know it won't stop until June LOL. Hope you find time to scrap tonight.

Well I have so much to catch up on here at the "O" that I don't know where to begin so I just better get busy with it! Have a creative day everyone

and you still have your sense of humor, which is REALLY good.

Well - I wouldn't survive without it. I have to be sarcastic about things or I'll go crazy.

Just had a little family time. Really nice - we sat & watched a movie together. 2nd evening in a row. John seems to be feeling so much better. He was even in a good mood today after being to the dentist's LOL

Had some interesting thoughts when we saw the movie. Maybe I'm just reading more into it than there is. A couple of weeks ago John saw Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame (on-line somewhere - probably illegal, so please forget about that LOL). Anyway - he wanted us to go rent it and see it all together cause "it was one of the best movies he'd ever seen". Well, the place where we usually rent movies didn't have it. I decided to buy it for him, and it was in the mail today. I hadn't seen it before, and only had a vague idea what it was all about. Fantastic movie - gotta be one of Disney's best! Anyway ... I started wonder about whether John identifies with Quasimodo. Sitting there - being different - looking at the world and not belong ... wanting but not knowing how.

As I said, I might read too much into it, but it sure was thought provoking.

You ladies are so awesome. :)

Gary's appt went good- we didn't yell at each other at all like we did the last time we were there. ;) Our dr is good with stuff like that, she was teasing us today about it. We got 10 more days of abx donated, Thank you whoever you are! AAnnnnnnnnnnd she is going to work out a lower payment fee, probably $100 a visit instead of $300. She also said that he is in severe flare-mode which means the abx is hitting him, and hard. Its a good thing, its a good thing....
We also got to meet a few other patients in the waiting room today- that is the best place to meet others going through the same thing. One guy was a trucker from TN who drives up once a month to see her. we met another person last year who flies in from CO to see her. Its so sad and crazy that people have to jump through hoops just to get treated appropriately.

Laurie- I have been saying (ranting!! hahaha!!!) that money and media have to get out of politics and elections for *years*
My idea would be for each candidate post in the newspaper or online their plans and *how* they are going to achieve these things. Give the electorate 1 month to read and decide, and done. No parties, no commercials no polling -- just the information!

Ok my deari-O's, I am off to the next thing on my to-do list!
