I think that we all need a big hug to start our day. It's been a really emotional time for so many of us. So here we go...
:grouphugyay::grouphugyay::grouphugyay::grouphugyay::grouphugyay::grouphugyay:
Did you feel it?
I hope so.

Me- I am doing ok today. But with everything going on in the world and with you too, it's hard not to feel a little fragile inside. IYKWM. Hugs always help.
I ended up not steam-cleaning Scott's room. He called yesterday and said that he was coming over on Thursday to do more cleaning and packing and he would do the rugs when he was done. He also invited us to his house for bagels with my parents today. It's like a little milestone-- hosting the first bagel breakfast with them.
My mom called and told me what food she was bringing. To his house. It's like she can't stop herself. :floorlaugh:

I was happy with myself-- I did a 30-minute yoga session and wasn't as stiff as I was last week. I have to keep that going, especially as it gets colder. My poor feet were like ice. I am going to ask for yoga socks for Christmas which should help.

Going to sign off by sending more hugs to you :hug4:

xoxo

@LSlycord Whew!!!! No blockages! That must have been a huge weight off your shoulders. I am so relieved. Next, you see the doctors mid-week to go over the valve options-- sending more good thoughts. It's a lot to process, isn't it?
Is Syd coming home this weekend? I hope so, I bet you would love to give and get hugs. (I am big on hugs, in case you can't tell)

@vickyday hope you are enjoying the retreat!

@BrightEyes I hope you spent the day relaxing because you were very busy the day before. The cutting table is mostly visible-- great news! How long does that last? In my house, it would be completely recovered in a few days.

@Cherylndesigns I am really glad that Steph is with you too. It has to be reassuring and helpful to have your girls together. I hope the infection gets cleared up quickly. I cannot imagine that Chuck is happy *at all* being in the ICU -- and being bothered by the nurses non-stop. It's a good sign that he is telling you to get out :lol23:

Love and hugs to everyone who stops in today

Morning ladies and Happy Tuesday! Yes I am back from my little vacation and we had a great time! It is cooler in the interior of B.C. than it is here on the Island but it was still a lovely place to be! We wandered around Penticton and browsed all the cute little shops ( I think DH hated that part) :giggle4:. The reunion was a lot of fun, so many faces that we haven't seen in 45 years and although a few that said they were coming did not show up, it was still a good time! Lots of reminiscing for the guys and lots of making new acquaintances for the gals! We enjoyed lots of great meals and wine together and heard some wonderful stories from the men over the space of their careers, some were in the forces for many years, others only lasted a few. DH and I rented a vehicle while we were there and did some wandering around on our own and then had a wine tour on the Thursday. It was a gorgeous sunny day for the wine tour and we had a lot of fun with our guide Stuart, who was very knowledgeable about the area and the 40 wineries that are in the Naramata Bench area, which is where we were. Stunning views of the Lake at each winery that we attended and it was like having the whole winery to ourselves as the tourist season was over and the grapes have all been picked. Not many people around. Our flights were great straight through, no stops and everything went well. We were glad to be home to our own bed, but it was so nice to have a little getaway! So now back to reality and lots of catching up to do here. Yesterday I spent the entire day doing laundry :laundry: and getting a couple of boxes ready to mail out to the grands. Halloween goodies and cards, along with some cute boxes that I made to put the treats in. I had so much fun in my craft room, but had a big mess to clean up afterward. That is the one thing I do not like about paper crafting, but I do so enjoy the creating process! So now it is free shipping Tuesdays for the month of October, so I am taking advantage of that and will try to get some Christmas stuff out before the last Tuesday of this month too.

@faerywings - Yes it is a sad, sad state that this world is in right now! I have a hiking friend who was supposed to go to Israel with her sister last Wednesday. So glad that all the flights were cancelled and that she is safe and sound at home!! Will there ever be peace in this crazy world that we live in??? How nice that Scott is going to be doing the clean up in his room, but I bet you are wishing he was still in his room!! Empty nesting takes a long time to get over, at least it did for me, but knowing that your kids are happy and safe is what really matters right?!! So sweet that Scott will be hosting the bagel breakfast with you all, the tradition continues with the next generation, how wonderful!!

@LSlycord - I am happy to hear that there are no blockages for you!! I need to go back a few days and see what has been going on here so I can properly catch up with all of you!

Off I go to get my second cup of coffee and then I will read up over the past week and find out what has been going on. I hope you have a wonderful day ! :waving1

Another sleep-in this AM..

Yes, Chris... I did spend the afternoon and evening relaxing. Had to LOL - when the kids lived with us - the kitchen counter wouldn't stay cleaned off for more than a day or two.... Guess I needed to have a talk with myself about not using the craft table as a 'catch-all'. :rotfl: That is what happens when I get all involved with an on-going project/s.

Had a phone call with my sister and she plans on coming over for Thanksgiving... and maybe Christmas. As all of her family is now on the east coast, she would be alone for the holidays. I am happy to have her here with me. It would be nice if she could just stay over for the full holiday season but she has doctors appts that she needs to keep during part of that time.

@LSlycord - such a relief that there were no blockages. Now it is onward to find out about the valve and what the doctor recommends. <<< hugs >>>

@taxed4ever So glad you had a wonderful time at the reunion and afterwards.

@Cherylndesigns, so sorry that your DH developed an infection and is in ICU. Glad you have lots of family there to give you support during this time and wonderful that your DD can come and be with you. (You are right... I heard the sirens and saw the lights coming for my DH several times... it was always a scare.)

Coffee cup is empty... and it is time to get dressed. HAGD

Good evening,
Mark and I came back to the hotel for a little while. We stopped at Burger King and brought it here. We will eat and do our devotions before going back for the evening service.
@taxed4ever have you heard of a pastor in Alberta named Gavin Peacock? He was one of the speakers today. He was a famous soccer player from England back in the day, I think.
Gotta go!

Good evening. Quick update on Chuck. He's feeling a little better today and he said his pain level was a one or two. They're still giving him pain meds, but they've stepped down to something not as strong. Steph said that was a good sign. She read all of the screens and said they all looked good. He was happy to hear her say that. He was so happy to see her and surprised, but still didn't want us to stay very long. LOL They're giving him a lot of different things via IV still and she knew what they all were. They have identified his infection and are treating him specifically for that. I am SO impressed with that hospital and all the staff that have treated Chuck. They are extremely competent as well as caring and loving. I'm SO thankful for that. Being in a smallish town, you're never sure.

Sorry no I have never heard of him, but then if he is from Alberta its like a whole other country LOL. We don't hear much of anything about Alberta here in B.C.
