I am soooo tired. For some reason the drs appts yesterday made me exhausted beyond belief. I did leave here at 7 and and not get home until 4 pm, so that has something to do with it. But the visits themselves, while long, weren't bad like they used to be. Scott is progressing slowly and is coming off one abx, which leaves him on three/day, plus an anti-viral and an anti-fungal. Thats great news!

Cait is also progressing slowly but has been experiencing knee/ankle pain which could be Lyme or could be a side effect from one abx. So she comes off of that for 2 weeks and we monitor pain levels. He is also testing her for Babesia, because her hemoglobin levels are low.

One step forward, one step back..... way better than 2 steps back.:peace:

gary and I go to out Lyme dr on Thursday.... he is a lost cause , but hopefully I am still good to go.

I am moving really slowly today.I mean, slower than normal for 6 am. hah! I have got to take it easy today or i am going to be toast for the weekend. Its my Godson's Christening on Sunday, yay!! I love that baby!!!!! (in case you missed that announcement the other 1000000000 times I said it )

Other than that, I have nothing else to say about me. Typical- I had a tip the other day and now I can't remember it..... and it was a pretty good one...
oh well.

So here is my Tip on Tues:
If you think of a tip, post it, even if it is *not* Tuesday b/c by Tuesday you will have forgotten it.

Personals-

Chris: Nope, no wine for you last night, no dinner either. To tired! LOL

Laurie-That does sound exciting! Especially when you are not the one doing the renovating *nods*

Frani- look at you! Love the avi!! Your haunted house sounds great. I know you can't use them every day, but glow sticks might work to light up the house better than the little battery votive?
Love the idea of decorating it year round.

nana!!!!!!!!!!!! The pics i saw on FB were *amazing* Did that heal the soul and mind a bit? I hope so, b/c if the girls made you as happy as the pics made me, I am sure you are doing 10000 times better today!!

Phyllis- ugh! That would make me crazy too. Not to mention if the phone rings int he middle of the night, it is never good news so right off the bat, I am freaked. Hope that you got to get out into the sun yesterday- looks like today is going to be the last of the nice days for a while.

Maureen, if I could i would come and weed for you- that is my 'quiet time" and I love it. I know. I am odd....
How did your recipe googling come out? Please share the recipe(s) if you found any!

Sally- saw your travels on FB, you two are the cutest couple! Give YMG a hug from me! Cora- 18?! Next year??? no!!
Why are these getting too big, too quickly??

Clara- Hugs to you, for your friend :(
Awesome for Addie and your dad- hope you are getting lots of pics. I have been slacking on some Cheery O stuff too- but today is my day to work on that :D
And yes-- understatement about my BOE.
To all of the new O-Fam members, you are in for a treat over the winter when i bitch and moan on an almost daily basis about how they will call school closed before one flake is in the sky on one day, and then a blizzard the next and the kids have a full day. Never any rhyme or reason....*eyeroll*
Good times,, good times.....

Gotta get my butt going...... and it doesn't want to. And all of the gravity is in my butt, making it harder for me to move it..... Its a never ending cycle.
:D

Morning all - just slightly overwhelmed today- too many things needing to be finished- so

my tip for tuesday- inside clutter is a sign of outside clutter- take 15 and clean- very helpful-well in my case anyways when so much is piling up- literally and figuratively!

Good Morning Lovely Ladies!

Up an hour earlier then usual, most be the weather. It was overcast and raining most yesterday and into the night, not a heavy rain just a steady one. I bought a couple of grapevine wreath pumpkins with lights on them this weekend and set them up on my entertainment center, they just brighten up the whole area and I love looking at them. I really need to get a few leaves around them with maybe a sunflower or two to add some texture and color. I am so in the mood for Fall decorating..... love that little smilie.....

Chris - you and your family have really suffered from this ailment, how did you guys get it. Please share with us newbies if you don't mind.
Don't you just love those little people, they are just so fun to listen to and watch. Thanks for the comment on my avatar Chris - used my phone camera, it's horrible quality really pixelated. Was trying to get a spooky picture for a halloween layout, but got a few good poses too, just wish the quality would have been better.

Laurie - One step at a time it'll get done!

No tip but here's a quote for you.....
Peace: It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart. - Author unknown

Morning ladies!

A slow start for me today. I was ready for once when the new "House" was to be on at 9pm. In fact I had the tv on 4 min early! but whah?? it didn't come on til 10pm. He is so weird I love the show. DH was in bed by 9 and when the show was over I decided to read a bit more of my book before going to bed. Turned out dh had put the bedroom a/c on but did not close the windows. Again, that testosterone malfunction in the brain.

I woke up at 4am with someone making his muffly snoring noises. I call them grunts but it's kind of like the shuffly noises a dog makes in its sleep. I finally fell back asleep but now have one of those slight headaches I get when I don't get a good night's sleep.

On the scale of serious problems, that does rank pretty darn low, I know.

I never did the gardening yesterday and feel a bit bad about that but not too bad. It's muggy today so I think I will wait til we get a bit of a cold snap. I missed today's yard waste pickup so I do have another two weeks grace period. Lazy butt is me.

time to eat breakfast I think. ciao

Tip: If you do hang your clothes on a clothesline when you can, put them in the dryer for 10 min first. That fluffs up the towels and the things that need fluffing.

Good morning ladies.

Today is rainy and dreary. Derek has started in that we need another car again which just annoys me. We live 5 minutes from his work. There is no good reason why he can't take the motorcycle no matter what the conditions. He's being a cry baby. His medication is all jacked up right now and whenever his meds are off he gets depressed and whiny and complains about everything. He, of course, doesn't see it so isn't in any hurry to get it fixed until his meds run out. I'm apt to make him an appointment myself. He always just sees whoever is available on a given day and everyone has a different opinion about how he should be taking Ritalin. It is so frustrating. Plus he needs to get a sleep study and some sleeping pills so that he can start sleeping sometimes.

Chris - we've got Ethan taking melatonin now and he's sleeping thru the night now. It is awesome.

It was nice having yesterday off but now my week is all thrown off. Today I need to really start looking for a job. I need a job by the end of the year. Unfortunately there are not a lot of opportunities nearby.

Oooops! Accidentally posted too soon. I'll be back in a little while when I'm not on my phone to give out some love. Have a fabulous tuesday everyone.

Tip for Tuesday...take a non-drowsy antihistamine when you have mosquito bites. It works better than anything else and keeps me from scratching off my toes.

I had a wonderful time on the retreat this weekend. Came home utterly exhausted Sunday night.

Hit the bricks running yesterday and started work at 7AM and finished at midnight. Not a usual day. Although I have been working at least 12 hour days--yesterday was a bit much though.

This is going to be a short week. I had planned on working hard and a lot the entire week. found out Sunday night that my nephew and his wife are going to be driving through on Friday (about two hours from here)and wanted me and my mom to come up and meet them for dinner/lunch. Since my mom can't drive that far--I'll be taking off work to take her. My Friday will be busy---foot doctor appointment at 7AM (sixty miles south of here). Can you believe a doctor has 7AM appointments? Unbelievable! Drive back. Pick up mom and bill then drive 100 miles north to meet the nephew. Drive 100 miles back. Hop in the car to drive 70 miles east to a football game with hubby. I'm tired just thinking about it.

With my assistant out now for the fifth week--all I've been doing is working and no time for scrapping!! Ugh! I need a little scrap therapy!! I'll be out of town four days next week to attend a conference. Who knows when I'll have time to scrap. Maybe in November!!

Gotta get to work! Wishing all of you a blessed Tuesday!

OK. here's me trying to do personals today!

Terry, are any pages coming with photos of your foot?? hopefully you're documenting this ordeal. and getting better every day.

Clara, hope things settle down with the Ritalin. the hardest thing is to talk with people who can't see their side of the coin.

Maureen, HOUSE is back on?? i never know when any season begins, because everything is all over the MAP now. one of the shows i watch (via buying it on iTunes,) Warehouse 13, just ENDED its third season. what do the TV networks think they're doing with this season CHAOS?? i used to like House, but now i'm thinking that he's totally mad. and dangerous.

Frani, love your new photo!

Laurie, wish i could declutter, both inside and OUT!

Chris, NINE HOURS of dealing with doctors would wipe out a saint. get some rest, if you can.

me? laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, a fast trip to BB&B to use my coupon on Keurig Donut House decaf coffee K-cups.

have a splendid day, dearies!

Morning sweet "O" friends!! Pitch black outside this morning and I am heading into a full day of work today, but I get to spend most of it in the back office away from the grumpies and complainers. Most of our customers are really very wonderful, but you know that there are always some that wake up on the wrong side of the bed and stay there!! Did not make it in here yesterday, I am busy trying to get my brother and SIL's calendar done before they head out to Australia for 6 months. I hate that we no longer get to see them at Christmas, but their kids live there and they at least get to spend half of the year with their kids. (which is more than I do) . Oh well no use complaining it was our choice to move back to B.C. home for hubby and myself. Our Son and family travel around with the military and daughter has fallen for a guy in Ontario so that's just the way it is! :hurt:

Chris - I am sorry that you are so tired today, I hope your day goes well and that you remember your tip for Tues. LOL. Take care my friend

Laurie - Hope that your clutter gets cleaned up inside and outside!!

Frani - It is dark and gloomy here today too and I seem to always be awake earlier than in the summer?? Your grapevine wreath pumpkins sound cool!! I should really start to decorate for fall also!

Maureen - Don't you just hate it when you wake up toooo early!! Especially when your hubby is snoring!! It sounds like the roof is coming down on me when my DH snores!! I would come and weed your garden with Chris, its my alone time and very relaxing for me also! I just love House too!! One of my favorite TV shows!!

Clara - Too bad that Derek is being Mr. Grumpy pants!! Hope he gets his meds straightened out soon!! Living so close to work he should walk to work it might improve his mood?? Hope your day goes great today!!

Phylis - Hope your day is not all laundry!! Have a fun day!

Terry - I'm tired just reading about all the driving you are going to be doing!! Drive safely!!

Well off to the shower and :brushteeth: I would much rather get some more

My tip for Tuesday -
We unnecessarily create problems. Understand that there are no problems in life except those we create.

HI EVERYBODY! I am sleepy this morning. Wally was a wakey baby on and off all night, so I didn't sleep well. Also, Genny is kind of off the last few days. Probably because we had a 4 day weekend. Whenever our schedule changes, she has trouble and gets much more... I don't know, obviously impaired. Most days, you'd never know she has a disability except for the fact that she is still in diapers, but Vince's leaving had her messed up a bit, and the last few days she's having lots of trouble with impulse control. She's hitting everybody, including the baby, and doing a lot of screaming, refusing meals, etc.
However, this is amazing, last night she was running around naked- she kept taking her clothes off and I just got sick or putting them back on her- and all of a sudden she says, "Gotta go potty" and she runs into the bathroom and pees. So I'm thinking maybe we'll keep her naked more often! I made a big fuss and gave her a sticker and everything.

Also, check this. I went to watch House this morning, and something went haywire with my DVR so I had Terra Nova instead. WHAT THE WHAT?!?!?!?! It's probably on hulu, or I can buy it on Amazon or whatever, but STILL!!!!

Anyway, that's all for me for now. Wally's early childhood in-home visit is this morning, and I just love his parent educator. She's so sweet! Wally has been consistently delayed on all of his milestones, and because of Genny, we are watching him closely, but he always makes it, just at his own pace. He's a laid back baby. But anyway, every two weeks, the sweetest lady comes out to check him out, and we also talk about stress, and resources for parents, etc. But anyway, I want to clean the carpet some before she comes. :) That's another good reason to have her visit- so I can get off my arse and clean this place occasionally. HAHAHA

I'll check back in later for some personals.

Alrighty...I am on the actul computer not my phone so I can do some personals...More people have posted so more love to give!! Yay!!

Chris - That just kills me that you have ot travel so far for the Lyme appointments. I am always hoping for better easier care for you. I'm sooooooo glad Scott is doing better. Sad about Cait but she'll get there. Have to get worse to get better, right? Lots of hugs!!

Laurie - don't be overwhelmed. When I get overwhelmed I get nothing at all done. I pretend it isn't there. You are much more productive about that stuff than I am so I know you'll work it out.

Farni - I just love fall decorations...but I'm not a decorator so I just enjoy everyone else's. Sounds like when you are all done your house will have that wonderful warm and cozy fall feel to it.

Maureen - That is stinky about House. I never get to watch shows when they are actually because we don't have cable. So I always have to watch a day or two later. I h ope you got plenty of rest regardless.

Phyllis - Enjoy your errands. I want a Keurig sooooo badly. Maybe I'll luck out for Christmas. Here's to hoping.

Terry - What is it that you do that requires such long hours? I would hate working hours like that. Your Friday sounds quite hectic. Good luck!!

Trudy - I feel your pain about being away from family. My mom is always heart broken when she wants to spend time with the kids especially and can't because we are so far away. I'm glad you do get to spend time with your family when they travel and you travel. That makes the distance not so horrible. Thank goodness for airplanes.

Andrea - Yay!! Yay!! Yay!! I wonder how long I'll jump up in down when I see you back in here for. Even though I see you at least twice a wekk. It has occured to me that I have blown off my brilliant Tuesday lunch idea. We'll have to get on that next week. I think I'll maybe make something. We'll see. Anyway, that has to be so frustrating with Genny and how the slightest change in schedule means chaos. Yay about the potty though. Go Genny!!!

Kinda late for any of you to make for dinner, and it's not gonna happen here either but I did find a recipe that suits me for Porchetta using a pork loin. I got to going on Jana Morton's Blending Class at Get It Scrapped and got waylaid.

http://www.italiankitchen.com/recipes/porkloin_porchetta.cfm

I also had my iMac crash with a mini black screen of death, which NEVER has happened to me except last week. Serious overload of my RAM I believe. It came back on but it sure tells me I can't have a movie going- like Jana's - at the same time I'm in PSE. DH finally 'gets it' and I suspect he is looking at Macs on line as I write. I suspect my grandchildren would get my current iMac. cya tomorrow.

I know what you mean about Fall decorating... I started on the weekend to finally give my house and home a little fall winter twist because I thought it was about time to wave the summer goodbye (even though it was quite hard to allow myself to admit that the cold times are knocking on our doors) and let the colder times come closer. So there I was in my garden thinking about what to change, what to get inside, what to plant, how to decorate the house, how to change a bit on the garden... I have to say that I am a big fan of this brownish orange leaves turn into when they makes themselves ready for fall season and so I decided to take this as an inspiration - brown and a variety of different orange tones here and there and voilá I was totally ready to call my florist delivery for doing the final touch by adding some floral arrangements to the dining and reading area.

Now I am looking forward to decorate completely winter and then spring again and then summer... is it just me or is this the time of the year where we love our homes the most - when we get the chance for a fancy make over? :D
