Good morning, O-Fam!
Hoo boy! What a crazy time to be alive. I am speaking in general. Everything is all topsy-turvey, isn't it? Good and bad. All I can do is send out thoughts of love and peace.
I can't say I am any more organized today than I was this time yesterday. I'm tryin' but never seem to get it all together. My eyes were pretty shot after the day I had. I spent all morning on the computer. I found a few new recipes I want to try and placed my grocery order. One is a vegan Copycat of Olive Garden's Gnocchi Soup. I love soup this time of year. Mmm mmmm! After that, I worked on my resume and cover letter. Times sure have changed since the last time I did mine. Just a little. HA!!! My old resume is from 1995. Typewritten on fancy paper. Thankfully, there are a ton of Google Doc templates available so I downloaded one and modified that. The cover letter is informal and references how I raised Scott to love and respect nature and would love to do that with a new generation. Caitlyn looked over them and made a few suggestions to rephrase and expand. I was teasing her that all of this is from 20+ years ago! Who remembers?? LOL But I was able to pull a few things out of my memory that seemed applicable. I am going to bug Scott today if he can take a look if it is ready to submit.
I went to CC and was glad that I did. I needed that mental break desperately. By the time I got home, I was shocked that my contacts weren't glued to my eyeballs. Took them out and breathed a sigh of relief as I blinked a lot. I played with the rats, did yoga, and cooked dinner.
I am out of here early this morning. Heading down to see my parents- wish me luck. My mom has been telling me over and over that my dad had to get more blood work and needs to see his urologist. On one hand, she tells me that he says it is routine. OTOH, she is upset that he isn't telling her more than that. He had prostate cancer in 2015-16 but had been clear since his treatment ended. Is he and/or the urologist concerned it is back? No one will give me a straight answer so that is my quest of the day.
I am happy about my kids- Scott and Sam invited their crew to their house for dinner and game night. Cait and Tom are heading done as soon as she's done with work. Makes this mom's heart very glad!
Hugs to all of you, have a wonderful day!
