Good morning, O-Fam!

Hoo boy! What a crazy time to be alive. I am speaking in general. Everything is all topsy-turvey, isn't it? Good and bad. All I can do is send out thoughts of love and peace.

I can't say I am any more organized today than I was this time yesterday. I'm tryin' but never seem to get it all together. My eyes were pretty shot after the day I had. :rolleyes1: I spent all morning on the computer. I found a few new recipes I want to try and placed my grocery order. One is a vegan Copycat of Olive Garden's Gnocchi Soup. I love soup this time of year. Mmm mmmm! After that, I worked on my resume and cover letter. Times sure have changed since the last time I did mine. Just a little. HA!!! My old resume is from 1995. Typewritten on fancy paper. Thankfully, there are a ton of Google Doc templates available so I downloaded one and modified that. The cover letter is informal and references how I raised Scott to love and respect nature and would love to do that with a new generation. Caitlyn looked over them and made a few suggestions to rephrase and expand. I was teasing her that all of this is from 20+ years ago! Who remembers?? LOL But I was able to pull a few things out of my memory that seemed applicable. I am going to bug Scott today if he can take a look if it is ready to submit.
I went to CC and was glad that I did. I needed that mental break desperately. By the time I got home, I was shocked that my contacts weren't glued to my eyeballs. Took them out and breathed a sigh of relief as I blinked a lot. I played with the rats, did yoga, and cooked dinner.

I am out of here early this morning. Heading down to see my parents- wish me luck. My mom has been telling me over and over that my dad had to get more blood work and needs to see his urologist. On one hand, she tells me that he says it is routine. OTOH, she is upset that he isn't telling her more than that. He had prostate cancer in 2015-16 but had been clear since his treatment ended. Is he and/or the urologist concerned it is back? No one will give me a straight answer so that is my quest of the day.

I am happy about my kids- Scott and Sam invited their crew to their house for dinner and game night. Cait and Tom are heading done as soon as she's done with work. Makes this mom's heart very glad!

Hugs to all of you, have a wonderful day!

@vickyday You look too cute in your avi!!
Sam's older sister is having her second baby. She has a 1 yo boy and this one is a girl. She is due in December.
It's so cold here too! We put the heat yesterday. (*I* put the heat on. *winks* I didn't want to just yet but it got too cold :brrr: )
Your birthday afternoon sounds wonderfully cozy and relaxing. I thought of you at the baby shower. Someone had knit a blanket and all of the women were ooh-ing over it.
I hope that your car gets all fixed up quickly and inexpensively. You need it safe for your trip.

@BrightEyes Ugh, what a bummer about the balloons! Did any come west at all?
:rotfl: That made me bust out laughing about your friend wondering where you were for lunch. Have a wonderful time there today. On Tuesday. :nod1:
The really bad traffic should be done for now.

gotta post this. Cait needs the printer. BRB

Well, that was fun. The printer wouldn't print, the paper was jammed in two different places, fun fun fun. :stupicpc:

@vickyday That will do it-- losing weight and feeling cold- you lose all of your insulation :D

@Cherylndesigns my BFF lives on one of the streets that connect to the HS and Friday night football does it to them all of the time. They are usually up at the games anyway. My niece cheered there since she was in Kdg and now she coaches the HS team. But if they ever wanted to go somewhere else, it's a struggle!
You were in my head yesterday. When I got home I could have either blown off yoga and started dinner or do yoga, then cook dinner. Man, you were nagging at me LOL! :whip4:

@bcgal00 I hope that your fingers/arthritis don't bother you on the trip. Maybe the warmer temps will keep the joints nice and loose

:hug4:

I would not even begin to know where to start with a resume! The last one I did was in 1997! WOW!
Hope things are a-ok with your dad!

Thanks for the compliment on my avi! I decided it was time to change it up and I really liked the picture of Mark and I in front of Ruby Tuesday.....I just "cut" him out of it, LOL!
I saw the other granddaughter of Ilene's who is having the baby in February who doesn't want to know what it is! I complained to her that I need to know so I can make something for "her".....like that is going to change her mind, LOL!
Well, the car is going to cost at least $1100! But I can't complain! My son gave the car to me in 2017 after my DH died and I really have not had to do any work on it. It had 50,000 miles on it and now it has 141,000. It is a 2013 model and has been a great car! I just keep the oil changed and rotate the tires every 5,000 miles or so! Mark had to change the brakes and rotors last month. So, hopefully we will be good to go for awhile after the struts and shocks and whatever else is being fixed! And we had to buy a set of tires! YIKES!

Good Morning!
Woke up at 5 this morning with a headache. Took some Tylenol and went back to bed. It was lingering when I finally got up at 9. I took a warm shower and it has eased up, but I'm going to take some more Tylenol when I am done here.
It is 58 degrees at 10 here so it is going to be another chilly day. The sun is nice and bright! Yesterday turned into a rather cloudy day so it did not get warm at all! Tis the season!

I'm just about done with the back of my sweater. I'm going to work on that today so I can at least get the front started! I'd still like to knit a blanket for the other great grand baby of Ilene's due in February, even though I don't know what it is going to be. So, I might look at the yarn when I go to Walmart later today.......if I get the car back from the repair shop. If not, tomorrow is another day, LOL!

It is chilly enough in the house that Asher is cuddled up in his blanket in his kennel! He rarely ever sleeps in his kennel. He is really going to be chilly when he gets his haircut!

OK, time to get started on the sweater.
Have a great day!

I'll sneak a peek around the corner to see how you're all doing and what you're doing.
Hopefully no one sees me!! I'll stop by again tomorrow and at least wave once :waving2:

And on Thursday I'll perhaps dare to say a few words to everyone :wardrobehide:

Good morning lovelies and Susanne @Su_Sanne great to see you in here! You can't hide from us, you know that. Don't be a stranger.

Chris @faerywings did you feel like throwing your printer out the window??? I used to say that all the time - printers make me crazy - I swear they don't like me! I gave up - I don't even have one. Chuck has one, if I need it, but it's a PITA not to have my own. Roger even gave me a new wireless printer that was an extra and I can't get it to work and then Ava took it and she can't get it to work either. She hates them, too. :furious::rollingpin1:

So, you hear my voice in your ear, huh? Good! :whip4::floorlaugh: I've got Try Before You Buy jeans coming from Amazon - hopefully today, so we'll see if my new ab workout is helping. I FEEL like it is, but the jeans don't lie - I need to put on one of my own pair that are/were a little snug.

Hope things go well with your parents today and yay that the crew will all be together at Scott and Sam's. How fun! Yes, the parking when I lived downtown was a real PITA on a Friday night. I didn't go to the games anymore by then, but never seemed to get home early enough to "claim" a spot in front of my house or even close. I normally ended up parking in a church parking lot a few blocks away from my house and walking. UGH. Other than Friday nights during bb season it was super fun living downtown, though.

Vicky @vickyday love the new avi! Take it easy today and get some knitting done.

Everybody have a great day and maybe I'll pop back in later and catch up with the rest of you.
XOXO

Hi everyone. I've not been on the computer much. I'm in a funk about the prospect of being stuck here in Kamloops. Life sure hasn't gone the way I thought it would. I'm thankful for the trip next wk to get my mind off things but it's going to be hard to come back here. So, I won't be as chatty for awhile, as I deal with things, but I'll be in and out.
