Hi there and happy Tuesday!
Thank goodness for the sunshine. I don't even want to think of what mental state I would be in if it were rainy.
(Anyone want to guess how I slept last night?
Bingo! You all get a prize!
I know that you guessed some variation of pretty s**** ROTF!)
I thought for sure that if I kept myself busy all day I would wear myself out and somehow stay asleep past 4. Gary finally got the ACs out of the windows so I was able to get the plastic weatherproofing done at least downstairs. I need to do Caitlyn's window next but she had remote meetings all day. Even doing the few down here kept me going for 2 hours since I needed to move furniture, take down curtains and wash them, and do lots and lots of vacuuming. Sneezed my head off from all of the dust and dog hair.
Then I had to deal with my heart attack. Fine, it wasn't a heart attack but it sure as heck felt like I was going to have one.
Gary needed me to hold the extension ladder in place while he climbed to the second-story roof to bring down one of the skeletons there. I don't like ladders or heights and I definitely don't feel strong enough to hold a one in place while my husband (who had bad knees and neuropathy in his feet) climbs 20' over a concrete patio. I didn't look up once. I concentrated the entire time on my feet, the bottom of the ladder, and held on as tightly as I could. The only time I looked up was when he warned me he was on the way back down and he almost kicked me in the head! LOL!! You would have that the rise and fall of my cortisol levels would have tired me out totally.
I finished the gloves and took a picture to show you. It is not a good photo - the pattern itself used a brown variegated yard but I used black since that is the only color Caitlyn wears. It doesn't show the stitches very well but it is what it is. all that to say they look better in person. *winks*
Off to the supermarket this morning and yard work this afternoon. I still have some marigold plants that need to be ripped out.
Have fun today!
