Day 2 of GSD is in the books, now on to Day 3!
Laundry, cleaned the house, raked leaves, finished food shopping-- all done yesterday. Plus I packed up the last of the Halloween decorations, they just need to get put into the attic. Plus I cooked dinner and Gary and I worked on the puzzle together. Annnnnd- I scrapped a page!!
On the other hand, I am still totally stuck on what to make and buy for gifts. Win some, lose some

#dk

Caitlyn texted me a photo of the nameplate on her office door and ordered business cards. She is so excited. Her dept had a reception for her and the other new hire which made her happy-- especially since everyone clapped when she walked in. Gary's appt was good too, and that made me even happier. He has diabetic retinopathy and gets checked every 6 months. The dr said no changes in the eye and that it has been stable for almost 2 years. Thank goodness...
Speaking of Drs, I need to get in for a physical before I lose Medicaid (the kids' jobs count as household income so we will lose low-income assistance, but I am happy to take that L! ). I need to find out when Caitlyn needs to use my car again -- hers needs brakes- so I can make an appt ASAP.

Today I am going to keep plugging away on the housework. I am going to clean out the fridge before I head out to pick up my grocery order. I know there's stuff in there shoved to the back that I probably don't want to open or smell LOL
HAGD!!

@LSlycord I bet it was wonderful being out in the sun on the lanai. Here, it was over 70* again yesterday and it was lovely!! Are you in the path of Nicole, or are you more likely to get heavy rain/winds from the outer bands?
Sending good thoughts to the shore communities.
Grocery delivery is almost $20 here. $5 for the shopping itself and $13 for the delivery, plus $1.50 for the reusable bag fee. That is more than I would spend, but I will say it again and again.- Shop from Home with me picking up the groceries (I bring my own bags and pack the food from the cart into my car) is totally worth the $5. And-- I am not a hermit, I talk to the people who bring the cart out to me hahahaha!!!! :D
*whispers to Linda...* do it... it's worth it... no getting annoyed by the old ladies who leave their carts in the middle of the aisle while they read every label. oh. That's also me...
Again, I swear our kids are a lot alike. I have been low-key reminding Caitlyn to not burn herself out and set boundaries to not answer her students' emails on days off/weekends. She does it anyway, But I think she screens them more carefully for who actually need immediate help, but still...

@vickyday Hahahaha!! You win the Date Challenged Crown for the day!! How was your day in the She Shed, get a lot done?
ITA, no such thing as self-care, it was all "suck it up, keep moving, no matter what."

@bcgal00 I loooove that photo of Remi! Even if she is in that white stuff ;) How much snow have you gotten al total?? It's crazy!!!
She is going to keep you active all winter, isn't she? ♥

@BrightEyes How fantastic that you are able to do a little bit of scrapping. The description of your inventory work made me exhausted. You are your very own Blockbuster :D
Enjoy lunch with your Red Hats today!

@Cherylndesigns Safe and calm travel vibes to you, if you aren't there yet, you should be ready to head to the airport soon (it is 7.30 am EST). That is really smart to ship your stuff to you at Steph's. Less money and less stress over things getting lost for sure.

@tanteva That is great news about the job/hours!! Congrats!!!

Good morning. Beautiful morning here. Between watching the news about Tropical Storm Nicole and watching election results tonight, I already feel worn out by the day ahead! We got new iPhones ordered for everyone yesterday. I wished my niece a Happy Birthday. So we are accomplishing things. LOL

Back for personals. @faerywings our fees aren't that high for the online grocery shopping. What a fun thing it was for everyone to clap when Cait went walking in. What a great job this is! And those first business cards...I still remember my first ones! Get your physical scheduled for sure! Our kids do remind me of each other so often. Nicole should not have much impact on us...some strong winds and rain probably...but not much else. It will tear up our beaches. Just hoping it doesn't do much on the west side of the state.

@vickyday hope that the day in the she shed was productive. And you looking for the Tuesday O's made me laugh out loud. Excellent story to start my day!

@BrightEyes so glad to see you enjoying scrapping again. And I know that the Red Hat lunch will be a fun time.

@bcgal00 that picture of Remi makes me smile so much. Andie loved the snow. She would go out in the very bitter cold and just lay in the far corner of the yard until someone would go drag her back in. But you sure have a bunch of snow already! As much as I feel bad because Andie doesn't get to enjoy the snow, I don't think I'd be ready for that!

@Cherylndesigns great idea on shipping some of the stuff instead of worrying about the weight limits on the bags. Thinking of you in flight this morning.

@tanteva congratulations on the job! That will ease a little bit of stress with heating and food costs.

Ok all. Going to go work on my Challenge page! Have a great day!

I got a little bit done in the she shed. I'm bad about thinking, "no, I can't get rid of that! I might use it some day!" The problem with me is that "someday" never comes, LOL!

Good Morning All!
Quick in and out. Heading to pick up my good friends and take them an hour away to a widow's meeting at one of the churches we fellowship with. It is a long day, but fun! And I love to see the widows fellowshipping together! The food is good, too! ;)
Then Mark and I have to get to the voting booth tonight before they close!
Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. Remi couldn't wait for me to get downstairs this morning. She raced down to the kitchen door, waiting to get out. We got the shoveling done yesterday and now just have to sprinkle salt mix over the driveway and stairs every day. Our temps are in the teens and 20's now and we need to keep the stairs and walkway clear from ice. I'm glad we live just around the corner from a major road that is one of the first to be plowed b/c it is a bus route. The nearest grocery store, drugstore and bank are on that road so, for the most part, even when it might be too icy much some days, we should be able to travel that road for necessities. What a different life we have here :)

Remi is crying at me to go out to play in the snow...big surprise LOL. She is relentless about it, whining at me, staring at me. Of course, I am a big softie and am going to take my coffee and go watch her play for a few minutes out there. Then it will be time to get out and feed the birds. I'll be back.

M (20) moves out this weekend so we have been busy sorting through all her stuff and having a big clean out. Going with her tonight to buy some Doc Martin boots as a leaving present! She's not going far away so she'll be around often I hope, but it's still a major milestone
