CHEERY O
Oh, I am so nervous. I have never been this nervous about a US election. I still have flashbacks to waking up in the middle of the night in 2016, checking my phone and seeing the results.
I voted, my family has voted, I have asked people if they have voted. I sent postcards to voters. I donated $5 to a few different candidates. I know that there is nothing else for me to do but wait and hope. And it isn't even a Presidential election! How crazy is that?

Anyway, I don't get much accomplished yesterday. I cleaned a bit, organized the F-Ws recipes a bit, prepped for food shopping a bit. Scrapped a bit. My sciatic was acting up so I was limping around about too.
No word from any of the health insurance people. Maybe that will happen today?

Off to food shop with my list of like 4 things on it and no ideas for dinners... Basically nothing new! I have to call my mom, I have been avoiding her since this health ins. thing went down and I know that she is going to start worrying. If she hasn't already :ohwell:

Have a fabulous day!!
(go vote!)
:D

Nancy- I can't believe that you had more photo/EHD work to do. So excited for you that you got to see the Outlanders Premiere. And jealous! Guess that got balanced out by the Devils losing. Sorry to hear that.
Did you get our with Luther at all yesterday? It drizzled on and off but it was too cold for me to take W out at all. yuck- just checked the weather, more rain...

Trudy- sorry that you lost your post! That stinks!!

Rae- The time change doesn't bother my circadian rhythm that much anymore-- I am always tired haha!! I hope that you are able to get back into the swing of things quickly. That is a bummer about Colony- I liked that one. TWD was good- although Gary didn't like the ending/time jump. I loved the interview with Yvette and Andy!

Time to take the dogs out-- back soon!
That was fast! Bet no one even noticed that I was gone.

Rae- that sounds like a great project with B-- something very tangible that she can be proud of when she is done. You are a smart lady!!

Trudy- No yelling on the phone yesterday and yes, I am looking forward to making the house smell good! I bought two new fragrance oils- very wintery and cozy so I am hoping that they smell good in the products as the reviews suggested.

Jean- I am scrapping a lot of my ILs photos and it isn't the same, not having a connection with them. I enjoy it but there is just something missing-- hmm, the memories, perhaps?? LOL Someone needs to send me on a vacation so I can take pics to scrap. :pound:
Astrid said that my panic button page was ok for the challenge. Yay! I also left you a note about your recipe challenge page too-- hope that you saw it!
I am not ready for Christmas!!!!!! But it must be nice to hear the music group getting prepared.

Felis- if you think your life is boring mine is ultra-boring LD
I hate the shorter days too. I count down to Dec 21 and then focus on the days getting longer again. W grabs leaves and acorns and sneaks them into the house to eat. I found acorn crumbs all over the sofa yesterday.
Nope-- I am not surprised that you like bats too. A few years ago, we built bat houses to put up in the yard and we love watching them fly at night in the summer.
Give all of your pets a snuggle and kiss from me!

Happy Tuesday ladies! It looks like the sky will be blue today :bliss: I have a appointment to have my hair cut and coloured today, looking forward to that! I really need it! Yesterday went pretty well. FIL came around to pick up some wine we had bottled for them and then he was off to do the shopping. MIL is still really not that well, I can hear her gasping for breath when she talks on the phone  She is delegating most of the chores to him, so that is good! They are both so stubborn about us coming up to help out in anyway. Oh well we can only offer so many times :mmph: Hope to hit the pool this morning at some point and meet my sister before my appointment to pick up some eggs and purchase a couple of raffle tickets that her granddaughter is selling for a fundraiser. Other than that I hope to get another calendar page done.

Chris - I sure hope things work out the way you want for the election! Try not to stress too much about it. Your new fragrances sound very nice! I love the smells of Christmas time, however my Christmas will be pretty laid back this year, just my Gary and myself as far as I know. I feel your pain about grocery shopping and not knowing what to make for dinners! Why is it that everytime I go to the grocery store I wander around trying to get inspired by something new to eat, but end up buying all the same stuff all over again and again. Plus I don't seem to make it out of the store without spending $100 or more :gaah: At least you did not have a day yesterday of stressful phone conversations so that is good! Hope your shopping goes well and you at least hear something from someone about the insurance woes!

Felis - I agree that it is no fun walking the dogs in the dark! I would like to see the time change done away with, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon. I think that we all have sort of boring lives, just the same old, same old, but that is ok we are happy and healthy and we have a roof over our heads, so really not much that we should complain about. I hope you continue to enjoy your reading and playing with the dogs and cats! Glad you like my smileys!

Alright I will get my bed made and the dishwasher emptied and then see if Heather and Hunter call before going to the pool. Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!

good morning - I feel good as last night I went over the sample ballot with my son and told him reasons that I felt he should be aware of to make informed decisions. So this morning got up and as agreed we went together. Then my husband saw we were going so he came too. It was so nice to go as a family! As my DH said we did not cancel each others vote this time. Took him long enough to figure this out but he did! And last night my Devils defeated the Penguins 5-1. Brain Boyle scored 3 goals in a row for a natural hat trick! Yea! And he did it on hockey fights cancer night in Pittsburgh a week after being declared cancer free. Pretty special night for him! Tonight my team plays the Ottawa Senators who are going through a rough patch. The Ottawa newspaper got a hold of an Uber ride with several Ottawa hockey players making fun of their coach and laughing at how bad the team is. I think it is horrible that this was made public but it was interesting to listen to the players. Matt Duchene who is supposedly one of the leaders said he had not paid attention in meetings for 3 weeks. So I wonder why not do something positive instead of just doing nothing but make fun of the coach. No wonder they are doing poorly. Seems to me that the coaches are at fault too for not making an environment where players can feel free to express that they are not getting enough. But this is scary for me as what Senators team will come out and play tomorrow - they one that needs help or one that wants to play for the team to make up for the video. My team is on a back to back so I hope they don't have a let down. The weather here sucks raining now so no walk for Luther and I. Made a great dinner last night. Just a chicken breast seasoned with oregano but it was the side that was awesome - orzo mixed with roasted veggies and feta cheese. Tonight is taco Tuesday. And easy recipe.

Chris at my polling place it was really busy and there was a huge variety in ages which made me very happy! My son I think was happy he went and got his sticker for voting! Good luck with shopping. I get to put if off one more day. I thought I was down to my last Dr Pepper but my DH had a hidden case. Yea! But I will have to go tomorrow. Chris right now Starz is offering a free week to watch their shows. You could at least watch some of the seasons.

Trudy what a bummer that your lost your post! And yes Outlander is awesome. Just saw the Blackhawks fired their coach. Wow! I guess it is what have you done for me today and not in the past. Marchand can be so good and that GWG in OT was pretty impressive.

Rae card making what a great idea! So glad that B was happy participating! Hope your day was not too long.

Jean I think it is so cool that your DH plays in a band. We have rain and I am tired of the dark.

Felis thanks for popping in. Your life is not dull or boring. I love hearing what is happening in a country far far away from me. I love the differences and similarities. I love hearing about your pets. Don't stay gone too long!

Have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. Spent some time chatting with my main client yesterday. I agreed to devote all morning to his work and then switch over to the other doctor's work in the afternoon. I think this will be good for me b/c it will force me to work harder in the morning which is my more productive time. By the afternoon, my attention wanders, I take more breaks and I focus more on chores and errands and online time. It'll be interesting to see how much faster I get the work done when I'm not allowing myself to be distracted. Then, maybe I'll finish my work day at a more reasonable time and then feel like scrapping in the early evening again like I used to. We'll see.

Chris - hope today is a peaceful one for you.

Trudy - enjoy your haircut and have a good swim. I hope you MIL continues to improve quickly. At least she is not trying to do everything.

Nancy - your dinner sounds good (it always does) and it reminds me that I need to go buy some feta. I've got strawberries, salmon and artichokes for a salad tight but need the feta.

Felis - I hate taking Taz out in the dark too. I can't let him off leash now on our evening walk b/c if he runs into the bush after a bear/coyote etc I can't see him and chase after him. So our night time walk isn't as much fun for him but at least he still likes to get out and sniff everything :)

Jean - how fun for your DH to play holiday music. It's hard to believe that the Xmas season is approaching.

I'm getting to work now. Have a great day, everyone. I'll pop back in this afternoon.
