So, what should I complain about this morning?
No complaints from me. All of the things going on are in the "It is what it is" column. The weather, the coughing, the mess around the house- they are all transitory.
The things I can be happy about- the ceiling is done! I only have to run to the store to pick up my groceries- so darn smart of me to do that online. Caitlyn got a 92 on a paper from a professor who claims to never give As. Both kids are all registered for their final semesters of college. I had to chuckle a bit at Scott's situation. He is taking his Capstone seminar- the culmination of study in his degree field. While going over his grad requirements, his advisor asked if he ever took "Intro to Environmental Science 101." And he hadn't. Between his transfer from Community College and his changes in majors, it slipped through the cracks. Poor guy has to take in Intro level at the same time as his Capstone.
The reason I had to chuckle is that the same thing happened to me in college. I transferred in my Senior year from out-of-state to in-state and the Education degree I was going for in NJ needed a different Intro to Psychology than the one I took in PA. I was going to be doing my Senior Research Seminar for my Psychology degree (constructing and implementing my own research design) at the same time as taking a 101 Intro to Psych. Thankfully, I was able to test out of the 101 but Scott isn't able to do that.
Caitlyn had a similar issue in HS- she needed Lab Science to graduate and the one that she had taken all of a sudden didn't count. She had to take Geology as a senior in a class full of freshmen. But it was an easy A for her and the teacher loved her and let her do her own thing.
See, lots of good things happening.
I am going to pick up my groceries and then head over to the Paint store to pick out my paint. This is the exciting part! My dad called yesterday hand he is going to come up on Friday to give me a hand. He will have to "paint my nose." He started painting my nose (booping me with a roller) when I was a toddler and then every time since. The last time he was here to paint, we were painting Cait's room and he got both of us. Yeah, I can be 51 and still appreciate the goofiness of that tradition hahaha!!
In the meantime, I shall ignore all of the weather reports calling for s*** on Friday. :smow:
hugs!!!
