OMG. That is about all I got today. My head is going to explode with all of the things roiling in it. It is madness. *I* am madness. *grin*

Yesterday was semi-productive. I cashed in a bunch of rewards points from different websites to get Amazon cards and Paypal. My mom came up and we were able to order a couple of things for Cait and Christopher for her. I ordered 3 things from Walgreen's and have to pick them up at the store soon. Again-- thank goodness for saving rewards points.

I unmolded the bath bombs. of the 6-- 4 came out perfectly! 2 of them didn't crack but separated slightly around the edges. Cait said that they would be fine to sell as long as they weren't cracked all the way through. Wrapped them and the soap I made the day before, added the last coat of sealing wax to the wine holders. Began stressing that no one is going to show up.

I am off to food shop this morning then some more labeling and packing things up that I am done with.

My brother is still in the hospital. He should be coming home today. He had a CT Scan is done to check on the blebs on his lungs which can be a concern if he is still coughing and/or has fluid build-up. I spoke with him in the morning and we texted a bit and he seemed in good spirits. I am glad that they are keeping him, since the last time he had that coughing fit when we were all in PA, he passed out. He won't be cleared to go back to work for at least a week but his company (he works for Verizon in the legal dept) is helping him get onto short-term disability.

So that is it. More insanity in the Faery World. What else is new? :pound:
May your day be calmer than mine!

xoxo

Have I ever told you how funny Caitlyn's rats are? I was up chatting with her and the rats are fluffing up their bedding in and around their house. The bedding she uses is crinkly paper and they grab it in their mouths, drag it around and then fluff it up. The "house" that they have is two levels. The main level is a wooden one that she got at a pet store and the second level is on that Gary made. There is a hole on the top of the first floor and they use that to get between levels. Clover was very busy filling in the hole from the 2nd level when Muffin steals the food nugget that Clover had hoarded. She pushed past Clove to get into the bottom section where she hoards her nuggets which totally ruined all of the work that Clover had done with the bedding. All you saw was Muffin's little rump as it went down through the hole.
That made my morning!

on to personals- my apologies that they will be short :(

Nancy- bet you and Luther have been enjoying the weather-- even taking the girls out in the mornings it has been cold but not brutal. I need Rae's org. gene too!

Trudy- We *all* need Rae's org. gene!!!! Were you able to get anything accomplished yesterday?
Oh wow! That is crazy about your SIL and her health! He is not that bad- but my mom is minus the smoking and one kidney. but she had high blood pressure.
I don't like gingerbread smell or taste but I adore fresh ginger in food.

Rae- how did you survive your crazy work day? That is ridiculous how changing a USB port could do so much "damage."

Jean- 50*! That is wonderful- I don't think we got out of the 40's. But I like the sun!

Felis- Nooooo!! No snow-- it is a Bad Bad Word! LOL I am very happy that it makes you happy. I don't like to be woken up either - family joke when I was in HS that my dad once woke me up, and I tried to hit him in my sleep. From then on, he would yell at me from the door haha!!
Great news about your Christmas shopping.

And yes, I am behind schedule so I am off to get a shower and go to the grocery store. Blech!!!!!

Good morning - again the sun is shining and it is in the 30s should go up in low 50s. Awesome. Yesterday my Devils forgot how to play hockey. The first two periods were terrible and its not like they did not know it, it was just that they could not get out of each other's way. Finally in the third period they came back at tied it at 2 but then let the Panthers score the winning goal. Most of the fans were falling asleep or booing but our goalie kept the score close so it was fun to watch him make save after save of course until he didn't LOL. Made the best dinner. It was just a pork roast but the sides of mashed potatoes with cheese and then cabbage, apples and shallots with a vinegar sauce. It was so good. Today I am doing two things that are first for me that take me totally out of my comfort zone. I am taking a Uber to my son's work so we can go to one of the Devils Adam Henrique's Momember Party for Hockey Fights Cancer. I got us VIP tickets so we get an extra hour with several Devils before the rest are allowed in. While I know it will totally be fun I just don't know how this Uber thing is going to work. But at least I am not driving!

Chris those rats are too funny! So glad to hear that your brother are doing much better. It really does zap you so glad he was in the hospital getting some rest! So proud that you are getting so much done!

Trudy wow cleaning out the scrap room. I totally understand that as I did it once and gave most away and a lot to my DIL as she is an art teacher. Then my son took over the room and now it is a mess again. LOL We have saved toys but doubt they ever get used. Having so many to feed will be interesting. Good luck.

Rae that is terrible about the computer and how that USB messed up so much. Glad it is straighten out. But man that sure does put your schedule behind. Hope today goes much much better.

Felis I want to see snow. It has been so warm it won't snow for a while. And it is so quiet when it snows. Poor dogs that they don't want sleep inside.

Jean glad the temps are so warm.

Have a great day!

Morning ladies, it is another rainy morning here :rain: but I have lots to do to keep me busy again today. Laps at the pool and then off to shopping at the local stores for a few things. I need to find some stocking stuffers today too. Wish me luck, I do not enjoy looking for stocking stuffers :mmph: Other than that I will do a bit more cleaning out of my craft room and hopefully get that finished off today.

Chris - I now have that vision of those cute little rat butts LOL that put a smile on my face this morning! Thanks! Happy to hear that your bath bombs turned out just fine! All that work is really coming together and you will be all done very soon! As for me getting anything accomplished yesterday? Well not really LOL I seem to go from one thing to another and then get distracted by something else and with so much to do to get ready for Christmas, it is really getting frustrating!! I need to be much more focused and just do one thing and get it finished before moving on to the next. I think I totally understand how you feel on some of your crazy days! :becky:

Nancy - I was lucky enough to get out for a walk after lunch yesterday and thought of you as I was enjoying the warm sunshine and the clean crisp air. The only thing I was missing was a beautiful german shepard walking along with me LOL. Sorry that your Devils are tripping all over each other, hopefully they will get their rhythm back and start winning again. Your dinner sounds yummy I love a good pork roast! It is hard to clean out my craft room, years ago I used to paper scrap and I gave most of those supplies away to my niece, but now it is filled with paints and books and brushes etc. I will keep some of those in there for the kids to use, but need to put away all of my more expensive items for painting. I love my grandkids but they are not using my good stuff LOL.

Rae - OMGosh how crazy about your computer issues! That must have put a real damper on your day! Hopefully you got all caught up with your work and things went a bit smother for the rest of your day! Yes I have to get busy with decorating for Christmas soon too, another job to do.

Jean - Hope you enjoyed the lovely temps yesterday and that you got all your jobs done!

Feels - I love the look and sound of the snow covered ground too, but do not enjoy having to shovel or deal with the bad traffic because of it. I want it to stay away until everyone is safely here with me for Christmas! Is that too much to ask?? LOL Good for you for getting your Christmas shopping done! I did not have the same luck with Cyber Monday unfortunately nothing that I was looking for was on sale. Oh well I will keep looking! Hope your day today was lovely!

Oh BTW here is my Nativity that I finally got finished, now I need to find something that looks like sand to place it all in, or some kind of material that is sandy coloured maybe. Any suggestions ladies?

Good morning, ladies. Got up with a headache and still achy and sore from my flu shot yesterday (and shingles vaccine). Took a few Tylenol and its gone now. The achiness/chills I expected b/c I always get that from my yearly flu shot but this was the first year I got a headache like this. I should be fine by tomorrow. Zipped over to VV for Seniors Day and snagged 2 awesome jackets, some Gap, American Eagle & Abercrombie & Fitch jeans.

I worked like crazy yesterday and just collapsed in my chair after dinner, I was so tired. I was able to get lots done and today will totally catch up but hopefully it won't be quite as busy as yesterday. It was a record for the most work I've ever done in one day. Good for my paycheque especially since I found out one client is gone for 3 wks (before during and wk after Xmas which will be a welcome break but not moneywise). My main client will be away the week between Xmas & New Years. He'll probably send some backlog for me to do while he's away but it'll be a much quieter schedule....yay for that!

Chris - glad your FW molds came out ok. I don't think I ever would have thought rats would be so much fun until you started talking about them. Now I watch them every time I go into the pet store and they are just so cute and fun to watch. Sounds like you had fun cyber shopping.

Nancy - sounds like another yummy dinner, especially the veggies. I just took a pork tenderloin out of the freezer to cook this week and now I'm thinking I'd like to do a similar veggie dish with it.

Trudy - your nativity set is amazing! No idea about the sand but have you looked thru Michaels craft store for ideas?

Felis - I wish we had a bit of snow now. We are in our rainy season and it gets so dreary. Some fresh white snow would look so pretty!

I'm getting off the computer now so I can focus on my desk work until lunch time. Have a great day, everyone.

Sunny and 62 - this can't be late November! But it's nice. DH is out clearing up more leaves as maybe most are down now and city may have another pickup soon. I'm still plugging away at the family history. It just is taking so long! For Cyber Monday ordered 4 DNA kits that we hope will go to each of our sisters and maybe my nephew and his wife (who now live with my sister). It will be interesting to see if they want to do them.

Chris, hurray for getting so much done. I know you feel like a crazy woman, but it happens like this every year. Nice images of the rats at play! Hope the shopping went well and you can take a deep breath before plunging into the rest. And good luck to your brother. Hope he is better quickly.

Nancy, I think it is just about perfect weather for walking Luther. Sorry about the Devils and their loss. But the party sounds wonderful. Congrats on being brave and doing Uber. Hope that is as nice as can be. I too love a pork roast. I recently used leftovers from one to make a pork fried rice as we also had leftover rice.

Trudy, wonderful nativity! Humm, sand that isn't sand? That's beyond my limited imagination. I'm sure someone will have a good idea. Good luck with today's shopping. And craft room cleaning. I sure wouldn't want anyone else using my good supplies.

Rae, more super shopping? Oh, my! And a record for work done yesterday, we know you're amazing, but that is a biggie. Can't imagine why you collapsed after. Sorry you react to the shots. I just got sore from mine. It will balance the work/money issue to overload now and go light in the holidays.

Felis, glad you like the snow, but I'm happy to wait for it a lot longer. Hope it's a good day for you.
