I am watching a pretty sunrise through the trees this morning from my window. Last night there was a great sunset while I was cooking dinner. Something small to be grateful for. :)

Yesterday didn't seem to be much better than Sunday when it came to getting stuff done. I had a list of things I really wanted to work on but other than food shopping... nothing got crossed off. I went to do a load of laundry and the drum was filled with water again. Gary called the service and they are coming tomorrow. (silver lining: I didn't have to do laundry yesterday. heh!) I went to put away the bread from the store and saw that there was a tone of bags of bread with like 3 green slices in each. I then noticed mouse poop. Everything on the shelves, on top of the fridge, and in the cabinet had to be taken out, wiped down, vacuumed, Lysoled. Fun fact, mice like chocolate chips. I had a huge bag of chips in a basket on top of the fridge that they had chewed through. The flour, the sugar, the crackers were all intact. Chocolate crumbs were *everywhere* hahaha!!!! At first, I was surprised that they could get into the basket, then remembered how Cait's rats get into things.

That brought me to about 3.30 and I needed to get dinner started. I made chicken breast stuffed with asparagus and mozzarella, baked and sweet potatoes and wild rice. Scott had me laughing, He took a bite and said, "Mom, this is the best you have ever made this." Ummmm, yeah cuz this is the first time I ever made this. But I will take the compliment.

I am cleaning here today so hopefully that means I can get the stuff on my To-Do list done when I get home. I still have two boxes of Halloween stuff to pack and put in the attic.

Wishing everyone a very happy day!

Trudy- you have been crazy busy. How do you have time to breathe? or sleep? That is so exciting for the kids to be going to Disney World. Did I ever tell you guys that BFFATS's daughter works there. She is part of a college program and this is her third session. Right now, she is doing the parking at Hollywood Studios, chatting with the people on the tram, giving them tidbits of trivia and jokes. (Yes, I am sooooooooooooo jealous)
I take no credit in the creative talent part of the gifts we are making, that is all Gary. I just sanded and stained. LOL

Rae- glad to hear that the trailer is all set for winter.
Good luck with your brakes.
Hope that you and Trudy aren't having any stomach issues after you had all of that (yummy) food.

Felis- hope all is well.
Jean, Kay, Karen, Nancy-- all of you-- hugs!

Morning ladies... it is very cold here this morning and the heat pump is working hard to get this house nice and cozy warm. I am up early with DH, just could not fall back to sleep after hearing his alarm go off. So I got up and made him breakfast and warmed my hands up with a good cup of strong coffee!! Yum! I managed to finish painting the sign for the lady that is opening a B&B in my old home town and now I just need to get some outdoor varnish to finish it off and arrange for her to pick it up. Still unsure as to what I should charge her for it?? I actually got a page scrapped yesterday too!! Hooray! The weather man is calling for possible flurries today :smow: I hope that he is wrong! So today I should hit the pool, depending on the weather. I do not like to drive in the slushy snow that we always get here. I will get some work done on my turtle painting and do some CT stuff here too. I also got my list of what I am buying for the grands for Christmas and I think I have it all covered and now just waiting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday to get it all. The only other thing I need to get done is to figure out what to give our son for his birthday coming up on the 11th of Dec. :noidea: I should try to get another Calendar page finished off today also. Another full day of things that need to get done! What else is new?? LOL .

Chris - The trees turned out awesome!! You both are so talented and I know that your parents will love them! Nothing is nicer to receive than a handmade gift from the heart! Uggh on finding the mice!! Lots of work for you to get all that cleaned up! Heather and Jonah had the same problem, they went to use the BBQ which they haven't used for a while and discovered the mice had made a nice little nest in there. Needless to say they had to cook their burgers in the house. Jonah had the not so nice job of cleaning up that mess! How fun that your BFFATS"s daughter works at Disney! Lucky girl, such a fun place to work I am sure! Your supper last night sounds very delicious!! I will have to look for that recipe, it would be Keto I am sure and I have some asparagus that needs to be eaten up. Hope your day of cleaning goes well, it will be good to get your Halloween stuff all put away and now you can make room for the Thanksgiving and Christmas :tape: did I just say that out loud?? LOL .

Rae - Nice that you have the trailer all ready for the winter season. Sure hope you get the brakes fixed on your car without it costing too much! It's always something right? If I were to have a burger with a bun I would be in agony for the rest of the day, so going to McDonalds is not an option for me. I try to have a few fries every once in a while but I always suffer for it! You would think I would learn LOL. Having something like a chocolatey dessert never seems to bother me though and that could be dangerous LOL. Hope you are having a nice morning and keeping warm and cozy, the temps have sure dropped haven't they!

waving Hi to Jean, Nancy, Felis, Kay and Karen  Hope you ladies are all well and doing something fun!

Best get ready for the pool, I need to get in some kind of exercise today, seems like I have been sitting way too much lately, even with all that I have gotten done, most of it is in a sitting position and I need to get moving again! Have a great day everyone!

Hi, gals... back from my son's. Son Jeff and my sister arrived on Tuesday like we did. The DD#3 and family came in on Thursday and Granddaughter and family [with the 2 great-granddaughters] came in on Friday evening. Had a wonderful birthday. Son Jim was nice and didn't put 80 candles on the cake...LOL.. had candles that spelled "Happy Birthday" so I was able to blow them all out in one breath. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Saturday. Only bad thing was my left foot started hurting 5 days before the trip... to the point that I couldn't walk very far on it. So ended up needing wheelchair assist at the both airports going and coming home. So I stayed with my foot propped up on one of the recliners most of the time. It isn't hurting as bad this AM but think that is because I stayed off of it most of the day after we got home and got in my adjustable bed at 6:30 PM last night. Glad we made the trip when we did as the winter weather is due to hit here later on today and lasting for several days.

Haven't taken time to read back and see what was posted while I was gone so no personals this morning. I need to get a shower/dressed then head over to the Post Office and pick up my mail that is on hold before the snow hits later on today. Will try to catch up what is going on.

Good morning, ladies. Busy day and will be hopefully heading out this afternoon to pick up my car. D was at the dentist all morning (4 fillings, one root canal and prep for a crown). Poor guy. I will be next, with a new bridge for front tooth soon.

CT stuff to do later and walking Taz (aside from desk work). A busy but quiet day.

Chris - the signs look wonderful. That dinner sounds really good.

Trudy - it's cold here today too, almost freezing this morning but not quite. No snow today but flurries coming on the wkend. I heard we're not expecting a lot of snow this year (according to the Farmers Almanac).

Kay - sorry to hear about your foot bothering you during your trip so much. I bet it feels good to be home.

Jean, Felis, everyone else...hope you are all having a good day. I'm getting back to work now.

I have a routine dr. appt. soon, wishing it wouldn't be dark then. This afternoon we did our grocery shopping for the holiday. It's just us, but we're roasting a chicken. Not a lot happening just now, but one nice thing is that after visiting in May, DH's niece asked if I had a drawing that would like a new home. I gave her a choice of several and think she picked the best as I really like it but also it connects to her family history. It arrived to her yesterday and she asked questions about details in it that mean she's really looking and she says she likes it and will think of me when she sees it. She will have it matted and framed which I appreciate. She's a really good kid (though over 40!) (And, Trudy, her daughter's name is Sadie).

Chris, the panels for the parents really came out wonderful! Be sure to get clear photos of them to keep too. Sorry you don't feel you accomplished much, but when the wildlife intrude and make extra work, it does get in the way. And dinner does sound yummy.

Trudy, hope you aren't getting snow yet! And you are one very busy lady. I admit it was reassuring that you and Rae both eat off diet once in a while as I am finding that I do that sometimes, more so lately that I've been successful with a lower dose of meds. Still not a good thing for me most of the time (not Keto for me, but working.)

Kay, so sorry about the foot!! At least you got there and back and sounds like a great time surrounded by family. Good luck with the coming weather.

Rae, your mornings in the yard with birds and squirrels sounds so wonderful. 3000 photos is such a ton, but leads to having lots of choice. Good luck with the car and your poor guy post-dentist.

Felis, hope you're doing OK.
