Hey there, O-Fam!! How are you all today? I am doing my best to make this a great day.
I did a bunch of nothing yesterday. Not really, I guess. I did a lot of housework. Had to catch up on laundry, strip the bed, fun stuff. I *think* I am set for food shopping today. I went through the sale paper and pfft. Not much seems to be on sale. I also crocheted another inch or so of the gloves, I finished the row that I think I miscounted on the first glove but they look like that match up. I guess I will see how it looks after a few more rows, maybe that is just the way that the pattern was written. *shrugs?*

What else do I do? Oh. Yeah. I made a *mess* of dinner. Hahahaha!!! I can laugh now, but I was stressing last night. I had gotten a pack of sausage from the FP last month so I defrosted that. I found a recipe for pasta with sausage and onion and garlic. I start the onion and garlic sauteeing and then try to get the sausage out from the skin to add to the pan. It isn't coming out so I cut the sausage into slices, throw that into the pan. I sniff -- why does the "garlic sausage" smell like kielbasa???
I read the wrapper more closely. Dammit, it is smoked sausage!!! I am not a big meat eater, and very rarely cook sausage. The only reason I had this pack was that it was from the pantry. I am running through options on what to do now, pour the pasta into the water, and wonder why there are a few pieces of pasta stuck to the bottom of the box? Because there is pantry pest in it. G*&*#@%&^%I@!@$&!!!!
Dump that out, restart the water to boil, and try to find something online to do with smoked- not Italian- sausage.
Gary's blood sugar is dropping because he already bolused his insulin and watched pots really do NOT like to boil!!! When his sugar is low, he gets "wander-y" and the last place I needed him was wandering in the 6x4 feet of kitchen floor.

Well, I ended up finishing cooking dinner, it was rigatoni with smoked sausage, half and half, and mozzarella and Worcestershire sauce. Scott and Gary either liked it or were very good at not complaining.

See why I hate cooking dinners???
:D:D:D:D:D

And today, I am off to the supermarket to buy whatever my next meal is going to be.

Have fun!

@tanteva Ugh, this cold is really getting you, think you need to go to the Dr? I know you had covid last year, any chance you have a breakthrough case? feel better!!

Kay- I hope that your niece's brakes were good to go and that she didn't have to wait too long to get them checked out. Safe trip to her.
I love using these comforter bags for storage too, great repurposing for your wreath. I started to collect the Halloween decorations too. I think I will get them packed today and have Scott help me put them in the attic.

@taxed4ever I know-- how did that happen?? November??
*Not panicking. Not panicking. Not panicking....* Are you saying it with me??? haha!!
I am grateful that Halloween isn't a fireworks holiday here. My dogs are worked up enough with the people on the street.
Yes, I am sooooo blessed to have a fun and loving family. So much. That in itself should keep my bad mood at bay. :)

@bcgal00 How is your mouth feeling, doing ok? I cannot wait to see the muddy pups! Caitlyn and I were stalking your FB page to look at pics of Remi and Taz over the weekend. She is so thrilled that Remi is healthy and happy! And she looooves Taz's curls :)

@mywisecrafts Happy Birthday Month! Congrats on the permit!
I accept chocolates, wine, coffee and crafting supplies!!!
That would be my birthday list too.
I don't eat turkey but I loved jerk chicken when we were on vacation in Jamaica. I bet it is so much more flavorful than regular roast turkey. You finished your Christmas Shopping??????? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
*runs sobbing from the room*

Cheryl the setup at the store is wonderful!!!! I am so excited for you all!
What happened at the airport in Charlotte?

Crap- I am so late, I need to get going. xoxoxoxo

No sure why but I woke up at 5AM and couldn't go back to sleep. UGH!! I was dreaming about digi-scrapping but couldn't get the photos I wanted to load in the software... what a nightmare that was! Guess I dreamed about scrapping as I want to get busy creating some challenge pages now that Nov is here.
I didn't hear from my niece yesterday so guess she got on the road okay. The temps were cooler again so ended up changing into sweats just after noon. Didn't go anywhere... but putzs around on the computer.

@faerywings I had to LOL over you thinking you had Italian sausage instead of smoked sausage.... BTDT! And then to find the pasta had the bugs in it!!! I had to throw away 2 boxes of pasta for the same reason. Ended up opening all the boxes and putting the pasta in storage bags and hope that keeps the bugs away. Glad you managed to pull a dinner together after all that.

Hey, @mywisecrafts .... November is my birthday month also. And is DD#3 and one of her sons. Hope it is a good month for you.

@Cherylndesigns thanks for the GSO at Fingerpointing for my She's Got Grit LO. That sure boosted my spirits. Saw Ava's set-up... what a wonderful site. Wishing her lots of luck and sales. How is your shoulder doing now... are you still wearing your brace?

@tanteva I am with Chris... was wondering if you are having breakthough Covid??? This cold seems to be getting worse - not better. It would be wise to get it checked out.

It was nice to get up and the 'normal' decorations in the house this morning. Glad to have the Halloween stuff packed away. Will wait till the end of Nov to decide what to do about Christmas decorations.

Good morning ladies. I am bringing D in for his colonoscopy this morning. Poor guy, having to drink the powdery stuff since yesterday and then liquids, no solid food since Sun night. He'll be starving when I pick him up later in the afternoon. I've got desk work, ct work, photography editing (shot a family session yesterday) as I now have 2 sessions to edit but the first one is over half done. Busy day, busy week.

@faerywings What a disaster about dinner. Glad it all turned out. I had breakfast for dinner last night, scrambled eggs, peppers, onions and hashbrowns...yum! Poor D, it must have killed him to smell it.

Just bought my first Xmas present this morning. I ordered Jen a sweatshirt that says EAT SLEEP WALK AUSSIEDOODLE and I think she'll love it. I don't want to shop a lot this year, just want a few meaningful gifts for everyone. Darrell is going to be hard to buy for.

@BrightEyes I was up at 5 too but stayed in bed and snuggled with the dogs until 6:15 and then finally got up.

I'm getting on with my day now, it'll be busy. Have a good day everyone.

Morning ladies... yet another rainy day and looks like tomorrow will be too mmph!! Might be another missed hike tomorrow, I do not like hiking in the pouring rain!! I had a busy day yesterday too, seems like my searching for certain toys for the grands is not going so well, but I kind of expected that. I really need to finish a layout I started yesterday and get my little teeny tiny art pieces completed for the Art Show soon. Will continue looking for gifts for the grands and finally get my floors cleaned today. I managed to finish the laundry and cleaned the bathrooms yesterday, but the floors were ignored. So that is my day!

@faerywings - Chris that is too bad that you had to throw out all that pasta! Glad that you figured out what to do with your smoked sausage, sounds like it turned out well!! Good luck with your grocery shopping today! Oh BTW I forgot to say how sorry I was to hear about the passing of your sweet little rat, what a shock that must have been for all of you! Please give Caitlyn a big hug from me and tell her that I was thinking of her!

Kay - Yes I agree it is nice to get the Halloween decorations put away and soon it will be time to get out the Christmas ones! What a crazy dream you had last night! I often wake in the night and think about what I need to get done in the way of scrapping, but then something always happens in the middle of it and takes me away. Seems to take me forever to get a page done. Congrats on your GSO!!

@bcgal00 - Poor D, my hubby had that done two years ago and he said the worst part is the drink that you have force down, that and not being able to leave the bathroom!! You have another busy day, but what else is new LOL. Yes I think that Christmas shopping will be less this year for us also. We are thinking we will just purchase a new chromebook or iPad that both of us can use. Or something else for the house. Could use a new table and chair set for the kitchen, but we will see.

Well Heather is calling so I gotta run ttyl!!

@faerywings I don't like making dinner either..It's always so hot in my kitchen so it's like I ran 5 miles after I'm done :D
@bcgal00 my husband had one done a couple months too and it was so weird lol..He said the stuff he had to drink was awful and it was so funny when he got out of surgery he was all doped up :p

I'm getting some layouts done today with these pics I took of my daughter for Halloween..My husband's off for two days so that's nice as well, I don't have to be the kids' taxi driver ;) and he likes to barbecue!
It's still early for me here, only 10:50. I love mornings, it's my favorite time. Hope everyone has a great day <3

Not sure I dare to say it, but I feel better today. I'm sure I jinxed everything now! LOL

It's not covid, I was way less sick then! Also, KNOCK ON WOOD, I haven't had any coughing this time. (Now we all know what symptom I will get next.)

Taking it easy today & hoping I will be well enough to get some scrapping done soon. Right now it feels like me & the sofa have grown together.

Afternoon!! Busy, busy, busy! Adrienne came down for coffee and we ended up getting all of my "stuff" out looking for ideas for Ava's shop. I have a huge bag of lace, pompons, ribbon, ricrac, you name it and we're going to add that to little onesies and Tshirts. I have a bunch of stich witchery too. We're going to Hobby Lobby maybe tomorrow evening and pick up some stuff. We're so excited about Ava's new venture. Thanks to all of you who checked the cool store out! Ava's going to be handling their marketing, so she'll get it online soon. That girl's brain is going a mile a minute right now. Of course, Adrienne's working her full-time job from home, so we have to work around that. I don't know if I ever told you girls, but she's the HR Director for ADP - they do payroll for SO many big companies. She's a busy lady! She was talking on her cell phone most of the time she was here. She's always working!

Chris @faerywings Roger FINALLY got out of there and limped to FL. It was the wee hours of the morning. Now we just have to hope he can get home. He just texted that he was playing golf in a "work outing". We're so jealous right now. Way to rub it in. It's so dark, drab and rainy here.

I'm not going to do personals right now, because I just looked at the time and it's 3 already! Chuck just left to go get Alyssa at school. I have such a mess out - getting all of my stuff out for projects for Ava. I've got a feeling I'm going to have lots of messes. Oh well, it's going to be so much fun!!

Kay @BrightEyes you are SO welcome for the GSO!! I honestly didn't even see that it was yours - I was just gobsmacked when I saw it in the gallery, then I said "Oh, it's Kay's! I just loved it!! This was my first time doing the GSO's and it's pretty intense to go through so many galleries and have some layouts just jump out at you! My shoulder is much better! I had to put my halter on today, but I didn't wear it yesterday - I had a non-ache day.

Everybody else, I'll try to pop in again. Hugs all around and have a good afternoon and evening.

Quick check in here - my inlaws are here this week so I don't have much computer time (without being rude lol) . I will catch up once they leave!

But the one great thing about today - our hot tub is being delivered as we speak!!!! We kept enough money out of our house sale in July to be able to buy one and it took 6 months (we ordered in May), but it is finally at my house! Now to get an electrician there to 'plug it in' (it's hard wired so can't do it ourselves) and we can soak the days away!
