Hey there, Ooos!! Good news, I am NOT complaining about insomnia last night!! I slept until 4.30m, fell back to sleep until 5.30!

giphy.gif

OTOH, don't mind me, I am gonna complain about everything else. Haha, no, I promise I won't do that. I am just feeling a bit of holiday stress. Nothing major. Like-- I am making vegan stuffing and the Gardein Holiday Roast to bring to my ILs so Tom and Cait have something to eat for T-day. I want the vegan roast for my free item from the supermarket since I won't cook/eat the ham or turkey. I get the notification that it is out of stock. I hope that it comes in soon b/c I would rather not have to pay $20 if I have to get it at another store. Nor do I want to have to go into ShopRite every day to look for it. But I gotta feed the potential future SIL. heh.
(Caitlyn tried on my wedding ring yesterday and asked me what size it was. I know they are talking about the future in those terms. It's a good thing. A little unsettling but very good.)

I got a lot done yesterday but am still feeling a bit all over the place. I ordered a few things from Amazon. Tweaked the Bartender Gift Basket for the family. I decided to to a spooky bartender theme- I found a really neat skull bottle stopper, and then a pack of Halloween cocktail napkins. I already bought the skull-topped cocktail stirrers. Instead of making the cocktail recipe book from all the drinks we made for theme nights, I am going to the spooky ones, like the Jack O Lantern and the Maleficent.
The other cool find was a wooden coffin box that I am going to paint and polyurethane black and that will become a drink serving tray.

But you see my conundrum? Everything needs to be *made!!*

I made a batch of room sprays and that meant the house is starting to smell good. I will work on something else tomorrow-- maybe the muscle ache massage oil. Nope, that is going to have to wait until later this week, I have to mix up the essential oils first and they need to sit for a day or so.
See why this stream of consciousness rambling every day is so good for me? ROTFLMAO!

I am off to the supermarket, then the errands that I was supposed to do but didn't the day it rained and I didn't want to get wet and melt. After that, I am not sure what direction I need to go in. I feel like I am very behind on my Oscraps stuff. But at the same time, I think that if I could get a bit of in-person shopping done, I on;t wake up in the middle of the night thinking of the stuff I had to do.

Which reminds me, I thought of something I had to do/buy the night before at 3 am. Forgot about it until I was talking about it at dinner last night and now I do not have a single idea of what it was. Drat!!!
SMH!!!

On that note- wishing all of you a fab day!!!

@Cherylndesigns I saw on FB about your aunt's passing. I am so sorry to hear that and am sending big hugs.
I try to stay up later to see if that will reshift my sleep p[atternt o wake later but I found that no matter what time I go to sleep, I still wake at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night and it is up to my brain activity/anxiety whether or not it lets me get back to sleep.
I adore Ava's attitude and zest for life.
She must have a great tattooist, I imagine that tattooing over scar tissue takes a delicate hand. I always admire the woman who get their mastectomy scars tattooed and their artists.
Good for Braden- I wish someone taught Gary how to cook when he was younger. He cooks a bit now, but most of that falls on me. (In case you haven't heard that before. hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

@Caro I hope that you didn't cancel your mammo. I know how much they suck too, sending you lots of support.

@taxed4ever yikes, the floods sound horrible, has the rain stopped at all? I hope that your house is still nice and dry - the water tables have to be pretty high at this point. Please be safe if you have to be on the roads.
1. So-- how did your Gary do staying out of your hair?
2. OMG-- the dumpster was floating away????
You know that there is a family joke if they ever want me to shut up they will make me sit on my hands. :D

I had a cat that looked like that. Catzilla. She sat like that too.

@vickyday so sorry to hear that your S-DD is sick, hope she feels better. The soup care package must have been very appreciated!
Gary and I were just talking about audiobooks a few minutes ago. The newest Outlander is out/is coming out and I might want that for Christmas. Those audiobooks are incredible, Davina Porter is a brilliant narrator. I usually borrow whatever I can get through the hoopla app and don't have any specific favorites other than Diana Gabaldon

More hugs to you, Cheryl.
Ava's tattoos are beautiful and I love how they tell her story of who she is.

love to all of you!

@nancyr check in please!!

Morning, gals. I took a PJ day yesterday and stayed off my feet for the most part. The knee is still popping sometimes when I have to bend/straighten it... even with the brace on. So no making the bed this morning...:(
Just realized that I have to go to the Credit Union as the CC bill is due soon. Can't trust the mail to get it there in time. Today is the last warm day this week as a cold front is coming in tonight... so may decide to get it done before the cold winds blow in. Don't want to wrestle with putting on long-johns if I go later on.

Thank heavens for the short footstool under my office desk as it allowed me some time on the computer. I popped into FB yesterday afternoon only to see that a dear friend had passed away. I met her through Red Hats many years ago. She and her hubby came from Texas to visit us a few years ago. Our guys got along great - they were both golfers - and I took her to a Red Hat gathering. So many wonderful times she and I shared at RH conventions/gatherings over the years... and we stayed in touch via email and FB.

CYL...

Good morning all! I'm so tired today - yesterday was a very emotional day. It stirred up so many old memories. That's what happens, My aunt was a big part of my life, growing up. I finally went outside, with Daisy and played in my garden. I got the last of my herbs and cut a lot of our crazy tomato plants (stems) back. We still need to get out there and really clean it up. Adrienne fried up the last of our green tomatoes the other night. She sure can fry them up!

Thanks for the hugs and good thoughts! Chris @faerywings keep trying to stay up later - I think that's what you're going to have to do! I stay up until my eyes are dropping, literally. I try to do boring things - like clean up my files. That always makes me sleepy and I never get done. BWAHAHA I slept until about 8 am - then was able to catnap until 9:30. Honestly, I think the time change is adding to your problem, too - I KNOW it is mine. I absolutely CANNOT go to bed and just lay there! Drives me crazy.

Yes, my Ava is quite the girl! I agree about the tattoo artists who can work with scars. I'll try to find some pictures of her poor little arm with all of her scars. She used to get so upset because she actually had doctors ask her if she was a "cutter". That just killed her to be asked that! She's the furthest away from that as anybody could ever be. I've seen some mastectomy tatts too that are fabulous! There are artists who specialize in that (I know you know that). There was a show on TV that actually showed some of them. It was very hard to watch, but changed those women's lives. I told you it took 7 hours, didn't I? The guy kept asking her if she wanted to come back the next day and she said "No - keep on going!" I guess there were men in there, getting tatts who couldn't believe that she was there for so long. They were telling her she was an animal. LOL.

I told you gals that I'd show you Ava's inspiration picture for the name of her business "Little Vintage Elephant". She has it framed in her shop now.

Good morning, a quick in and out as I have to get to work. The power went out yesterday afternoon so didn't get to finish my desk work which will need to get done today on top of any new working coming in. So, a busy work day, I'm sure. If I can get it done in time, I'll get the dogs out to the park this afternoon as finally the skies have cleared. Remi will love it b/c there should be some big pools of water in the bush for her to splash around in.

I posted another shot of the dogs in the backyard pool in a thread about weather, go check it out :)

@faerywings Glad you got a good sleep (isn't it sad that we get so excited when we do LOL). I can't believe that yrs ago I could sleep for 8-9 hrs straight and never wake up, those days are looooong gone :(

I have been talking with Heather most of the morning and discussing Christmas and her upcoming 40th birthday, so much to think about! It's such a busy time of the year! I will try to catch up with you all later on this afternoon. CYL!!

Well, I decided not to go anywhere today. When I started moving around, I realized the knee was not up to it so have been sitting with it up most of the day. Might need another day or two of rest before venturing out anywhere. I can always put on sweatpants/top if it is really go when I go out.
Had to come back to the forum to check up on the Challenge I am hosting and make a few comments.

Wow, Trudy... those are some photos!!! Hope your DH's car didn't get caught in the flood around his work.

Well it has been a crazy week for me. DH and I went on a last minute trip to a Sandals resort in the Bahamas for 4 days and the spent the next 4 days chasing a toddler around the house and I am totally exhausted! My back is totally shot and I am trying to catch up with everyone. I know it will take me a few days to catch up!
