The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hi my O-Fam! Hope that you are all having super awesome days!
As for me, I am hoping to not have One of Those Days like I had yesterday. Seriously kooky all day long. Everything went upside down and sideways. To top things off I lost my ipod. I had it at work, then had to run to the HS to pick up Cait who was sick, ran some errands and then when I went to get ready for bed, it's gone. I looked in my car twice but didn't see it. I even have the headphones that I use with it.
I will call my client today and see if I left it there somehow.

The best part of the day is that the fam watched Sharknado together last night. OMG, I had not laughed soooo hard in so long. It was the most ridiculous thing ever. If you have an hour and a half to kill and need something so mindless and silly and enjoy HORRIBLE acting, plot lines and special effects, this movie of for you. Now streaming on NetFlix. ;)

Today is a day "off." Trying to clean my house for our party this weekend. You all know how I do House Party things? (houseparty.com). This time I was picked to get a Tassimo brewer and several boxes of different coffees. Y'all know how much I adore coffee! This brewer makes cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, as well as regular coffee. So I invited my family and some neighbor friends to try out some coffees and snacks. Of course, by the time I did that, my guest list is at about 25. haha. I think.

So that is it for me.

Tip on Tuesday:
I know I have said this before, but I am gonna say it again (mostly to get it in my head!!!!) Do NOT look up symptoms online. Ever. They all lead to cancer. ATM, I think I have uterine/ovarian/bladder/prostate cancer. :pound:

Linda - You still hate Windows 8? Why do they keep insisting on messing things up? SMH!
Hope your day went well!

Phyllis- Are the Grandmen like little tornadoes when they come to visit? Hope that you can just rest a bit before you have to feel the need to clean. The house can wait!

Laurie- ugh about the scales going up. But yay for water!!!! Hope the internet gets fixes soon too.

Nancy- hugs to your son! Sounds like you had some really awesome days and events going on!
And yes, I made my mammogram appt. Sunday 24th. *fingers crossed that nothing new shows up*
Now I need to make my appt for my gyn. appt. Things don't feel right (some pelvic pain) which are probably Lyme related but as you saw in my tip, I am convinced it is cancer. Not really convinced but yeah, in the back if my mind....

Nickel-- wow, you just are amazing with your scrapping- between you and Anne, its more than I have probably done since the beginning of time :)

Hi Andrea-- thank you for sharing your Quarters story. I will always think of your son when I donate. Did he like animals? I usually try to put my change into my local shelter boxes when I see them.

Hope you all have a wonderful, joy filled day!

Chris!!! Your tip of the day is hilarious and so so true.
I am typing on my kindle in my baby boys room. Playing keep away with his brothers went bad last night and poor thing broke his collarbone.Tylenol with codeine works for about 5- 6 hours. Emergency room visit, scared little one...but we have a very close friend who yeah was working last night and he so made my Jordan feel better.
Gonna be few long days with pain management and then two weeks low activity....for a 5 year old boy. Ha ha
I hope you find your I-thing we..hate losing things...my b r ain will keep searching like an old computer.

good morning I am waking up to snow flurries and the first real cold snap of winter. Not sure I am ready for this but I guess I have no choice LOL! Got in a good walk yesterday so that is good. Got some scrapping done so that always makes me feel good. Love it when fun unexpected things happen. My youngest sent me a txt saying that after the 4th goal was scored at the Devils last game Chaz and I were on TV as we cheered! His friend sent him a txt saying he saw him on TV. Little things like this just make me happy LOL. So I watched the game and took some photos of us so perhaps I will have to do a scrap page on it. Tonight my Devils play the NY Rangers. Hoping for a win.

Chris glad you made that appointment. Hope you find that iPod! Hope the day is less topsy turvy!

Laura have fun getting back into your exercising. Glad your water is fixed!

Nickel congrats on all that scrapping. I am still catching up on all my weekly pages.

Andrea thanks for sharing your quarters story!

Phylis hope you have recovered from your grandmen visit!

Anne looks like we posted at the same time. So sorry about the broken collar bone. Fortunately the younger you are the faster you heal. Yesterday I was watching hockey and one of the stars of the game Steven Stamkos broke his leg and will be out for a long long time. It is all about pain management! Good luck keeping him quiet!

Quick one from me this morning. I'm running way late...ack! But tonight I have a night at home. No one leaves this house for any reason! So I'll do personals tonight. Hope you all have great days...except for Anne where I hope for a good day. Don't see great happening for you today. :-(

well, phooey. i woke up this morning to Winter Wonderland. it SNOWED here last night!! and it's STILL snowing. not much on the ground. maybe an inch or two, but :hurt:
i don't WANNA DO WINTER!!!! have i ever said that i now understand why old people move to Florida? now that i'm an Old People, i totally get it.

Chris, i'm laughing at your mom and technology. what i always wish is that i had sonmeone like YOU and Gary, who could sit down and hold my hand with tech. i get SO tired trying to figure out eveything every time we get something new. my husband is a total Luddite, and he refuses to know anything at all about DVD players, computers, flat screen TVs. so there's me, trying to figure stuff out. Windows 8 almost did me in. I never cry, and it almost got me to dissolve into a puddle of tears. LindaS, you are TOTALLY right. it is a HATEFUL piece of programming. i think the people who invented it must have brains that work completely different from mine. it was and still IS totally incomprehensible to me. i spent about 100 hours just getting it to act like Windows 7 did, and mostly i've succeeded. the next time there's an upgrade to Windows, i'm jumping ship. i can't take it anymore. i'll be an Apple Girl, until THEY screw up their operating system. is anyone else having funny stuff going on in iTunes and with syncing to iPods, iPads, etc.? i had the most bizarre things happening yesterday in iBooks on my iPad. there were 17 copies of EACH BOOK i have in my library, with the little iCloud designation. i couldn't get rid of them!! i finally just removed iBooks from my iPad and had to reinstall all the books. so far so good. ah, yes. computers. the little Time Savers. more like Time Thieves!!

LindaS, as i said above: Windows 8 is a plot to drive people crazy. who THOUGHT of this abomination???

Anne, OH! so sad about your little guy's accident! having just experienced a 5-year-old here for the last few days, i can't even imagine trying to keep one STILL! good luck, and i hope he's feeling better fast.

Nickel, this sounds exciting!!
I enjoyed the first international ice speed skating(long track) competition.
then dinner with your mom. sounds like a perfect day!

Laurie, YAAAAY on having water back. did the flood in the basement mess up any of your remodel work down there? this is what i use for water storage:http://www.thereadystore.com/water-...containers/5-gallon-stackable-water-container i think everyone should have at least a few of these in the basement for emergencies. i change the water every 6 months and add 1/2 tsp. of bleach. at least you can flush the toilets if you have some water storage! and well-users like us DOUBLY need to Be Prepared.

Andrea, hope you had lots of time to relax and regenerate after work. take good care!

Nancy, i had to laugh about your son and his "low expectations" of you. honestly, i think that our kids think we're completely clueless. but to think that ANYONE could believe that you didn't know all the particulars about attending a Devils game? well, just silly! and, wow. when they win, they win BIG!! i haven't been following the Pens at all lately. i'll have to ask my Hubby what their record is now.

my daughter told me that Pittsburgh is being features on Bizarre Foods America on The travel Channel. so i went to look at some clips. if you want to see a favorite pastime in Pittsburgh, have a look at this clip. no wonder we're all the size of Riverboats here.... but, man, are these sandwiches GOOD!!

OK. off to start the day. which feels exactly like MONDAY!!! housecleaning and a trip to The Mall to return something. then i may look up Sharknado. who DOESN'T need a LAUGH????

have a great one, O-zies! :becky:

Morning ladies... I was MIA yesterday, but had a fairly busy day going on. Went the Remembrance Day Parade, and watched MG march with the others. I did not take my camera with me, I have so many photos of past parades that I felt I did not need anymore. It was a beautiful morning, sunny breaks and quite mild, the first nice parade day that we have had in 7 years. Then my sweet hubby wanted to take me on a date to the movies, so we headed into the city and made a stop at Goldstream Park to observe the Salmon Run that was going on. Wow there were thousands of Salmon Spawning upstream, the best numbers we have seen since moving back to the Island. It was so nice to see!! Then we went to the Tom Hank's movie Capt. Phillips. An awesome film, he is such a great actor!! I highly recommend it!

Chris - hoping for a calm, non loopy day for you today. I really hope you find your iPod!! I was wondering about your party? Do you get to keep the Tassimo Coffee Maker?? That would be sweet!! Stop looking up symptoms online!!!! It does not make you feel any better, it only scares the bejezzus out of you! I have seen some previews of Sharnado, I am terrified of sharks so not sure I could watch this movie :scared:

Anne - Ouch your poor little man!! Good luck trying to keep a 5 year old quite and calm!! Hopefully he likes to read books and can heal very, very soon!! Sending lots of patience and healing thoughts to you today!!!

LindaS - You are so busy!! Hope you get to stay put tonight and enjoy time at home!

Nancy - Ugghh :smow: I am hoping for a very green winter this year, but what are the chances of that happening?? How fun that you were on tv at the game!! Your devils are making you happy!!

Phylis - Uggghh :smow: for you too!! I hear ya on not wanting winter to happen. We have friends that spend the winters down south and they all talk about how wonderful it makes them feel to be in the dry warm! It takes away all of their aches and pains, I wish that someday we could go there for the winters too, but I can't get my hubby to stop working long enough to go anywhere, let alone live somewhere else for the winter!! :mmph:

Today I am meeting my MIL downtown, she wants to walk around and look at all the little shops, I think she has something that she wants to talk to me about, so we will find out soon I guess. Hoping all of you have a great Tuesday, keep warm and cozy!!

good evening- my internet remains wonky, slow, on, then off, I just called the guy and said please come look at my cable, please. Reminds me of the old dial up days!

To those with snow! no no no...it is way too early!

Nancy! I love the idea to scrap the game and the excitement of him being on TV too! makes it so much fun!

Lslycord? sorry don't know your name...but thank you so much! and a huge thank you to all ya'll regarding my baby boy.
Little J is doing excellent. He made it thru the day without codeine! He is very tired. but wants so bad to go to school tomorrow. We went to pick his brothers up and his classmates were already swarming him and he LOVED that! He had a rough night but great day and is sleeping right now on his tummy! Kids are amazing ya' know?

Phylis, you so made me laugh with the now that I'm and old people! that is a great sentence...lol

Trudy? Where are you that Salmon are running and an island? sounds like a dream! I am trying to use my brain? thinking you are in a different hemisphere than I an as to Island...that has me perplexed...
and now I am all nosy as to what your MIL wanted! lol

I am having withdrawals from scrapping...so after only one appointment tomorrow (dentist with 15 year old) I shall sit down and consume large quantities of coffee and scrap...oh and my 13 year old yorkie/poodle has a salon appointment...hahah..I cut my hair, my boys hair and my dog goes to a salon! something is wrong here!

Night ladies...I so enjoy babbling with ya...and have missed it!
