Clocking in for another sunny day. :sunout: I love seeing the sun. It's supposed to be chillier today (only in the 60s) so I might not get outside as long as I would like but I will be out there. There is so much yard work to do.

How was your Monday? Gary and I spent most of the day together (and yes! We are both still alive :killer: :giggle4: ) Gary's eye appt was good, no change in the retina and he goes back in 6 months. After lunch, we took the dogs for a hike. We took a new section of trail at one point and got a few new spots for the dogs to pee on. Jaida usually likes to walk in the crunchy leaves. Usually, not anymore. *G* She went into a big pile of leave and stepped on a branch that bounced up and startled her. After that, she looked very suspiciously at every pile of leaves, big or small, and walked around them. Such a silly dog.

Semi-good news- I started a scrap page! :dance2: Key word: Started. I am not liking it very much but I think I can work with it.

Plans for today are :laundry:, :housekeeping: and then outside.

Does anyone have a Tip for Tuesday they would like to share?
For yoga enthusiasts and gardeners ( I pretend I am both LOL) I have a video to share:
Yoga For Gardeners | Yoga With Adriene feels very good to stretch out the shoulders, arms and hands -- and hips!

@vickyday That is such a good idea to have Gary cut the t-shirt off if I try to rip out the poison ivy. I really shouldn't get anywhere near it since I am allergic. I have had to get cortisone shots in the butt before and that is just ---not fun...
I think Christopher liked the album, he was impressed to see his face on the cover :D They are really more for my SIL :D I also got him a Dav Pilkey book too. Scott loved to read his books, I wonder if he has any still. I'll have to look and pass them along. Did you get everything on your list done?

@bcgal00 LOOOOOVE the avi!! You look so happy and carefree, it just oozes joy!!
Whew, great news about the shellac primer. I had to use Kilz Oil Based primer on the wall where my sick cat had peed and it was all in the wallboard. Not the easiest stuff to work with but it does the trick. *fingers crossed that the rest of the painting is easy for you* are you going to stick with the same color or change it up?

@Cherylndesigns Did watering your plants bring on the rain? If that didn't do the trick, try leaving a sunroof open or air out an area rug. That should work ;)
Thanks for the info on Kristin Ess. I looked at TJMaxx.com since that's where I usually buy non-drugstore brands since they are discounted. They have two of her products but not this one. I will look next time I shop there--ooooh! I can ask my friend who works there to keep an eye open too. I totally get what you mean by lighter- that's what I want. My hair has ringlets/spirals but trying to get it where they stay that way without being crunchy is tough. Or conversely- curly but not in a poof ball. TY!

@taxed4ever I hope that you slept better last night, would have thought you would have been out cold after the day on the lake. The time out there sounds beautiful. And isn't it funny that a change in perspective can make such a difference in what and how you see places? I hope that Mark sends you the pictures soon, I want to see them too!

@Nonni F Hi there!! No worries about not reading "back posts." It's just nice to see you pop in. I don't blame you, if I could I would spend every waking moment outside when the weather is like this, I would! Caitlyn told me very excitedly that sunset last night was 8.01 PM! goofysmile1 Love this time of year!

Have a fantastic day!

Good Morning to all!
Today is the scheduled trip to the Widows' meeting an hour away, so I will have to keep this short and sweet! The meetings are the second Tuesday of the month. This will be the last one until the fall. I still haven't convinced the newest widow in our church to join us. She lives about a minute from my house. Maybe she will be ready to join us this fall. Right now she is working her butt off cleaning out. I hope she doesn't make any rash decisions she will regret!

Other than that I have nothing on my schedule. I need to take some meat out for supper before I leave. I will take the Qwirkle game with me and Ilene and Carolyn and I will probably play a few games when we get back this afternoon before I come home.

Yesterday I checked everything off of my to-do list and even did some scrapping. I also pre-ordered some more scrapbook pages from Persnickety so I could take advantage of the NSD deal going on and before they raise their prices the first of June. So, sometime in the future I will be able to get more of the following pages printed at the sale price:
50 12x12's
50 8.5x11's (biking pages)
100 8x8's
I have been pulling stored albums out so that when I get the 311 pages I just ordered (58 12x12's and the rest in 8x8's) I can get them put away quickly. I hope to have them ready to show off when our family gathers for Memorial Day weekend.

OK, time to get ready to leave for the widows' meeting!
Have a great day, everyone! I may be driving in the rain today!
BFN :bye2:

Morning everyone! It is a sunny morning and I am happy to say that I finally got the turtle painting completed yesterday afternoon! Hooray! Now I just have to order some Art Resin to pour on top of it and then I can get to its new home. Here is a photo of the finished project. unnamed.jpg Not sure how many hours I spent on this, but I am pretty happy with the end result! I hope the client loves it! Oh and I will be back on the lake this afternoon in my kayak, so it is going to be a great day! I just need to get a card started or completed for Jonah's birthday and get it out in the mail. Tomorrow is hiking day so I will have to leave early as it is quite a drive to get there. Hopefully the sun will be out for our hike!

@faerywings - Glad to hear that you and your Gary spent the whole day together without any incidents :giggle4: . Nice that his appointment went well and he is good to go for another 6 months! That is great that you went on a hike together too!! You guys are getting your steps in, thats great!! Hope that the temps warm up enough for you to be outside getting your clean up done! I should be out in the garden today cutting back the daffodils that are all done blooming. But the lake is calling me and I would much rather be out there!

@vickyday - I hope that the rain holds off for your drive today! Have a fun time with the gals and enjoy your game of Qwirkle I haven't played that in years!! Hope you can at some point to convince the new widow to join you for your meetings! It took my SIL Linda a very long time before she got out there and socialized again, it must be so very hard!!

@Nonni F - Nice that you are enjoying life and good weather! Being out in the garden is such great therapy! We are happy when you pop in , so don't feel like you have to do personals its nice to just hear that you are happy!!

Ok I need to get my morning chores done before Heather calls, hope that she is having a sunny day also! Enjoy the daly everyone! :waving1

Good afternoon all.

Chris, @faerywings good news that Gary's retina hasn't changed. That's so frightening and it's a relief when you get it checked and it hasn't. No, my watering didn't bring on the rain. It's supposed to rain again today, but we're still waiting. It never did rain yesterday. I got one bag of the black mulch spread yesterday - I slit the bag open and emptied half of it into a bucket, then spread it, etc. When I got the bag half emptied, I was able to drag it up two steps and spread the rest of it. Ava saw me and here she came and made minced meat out of the other 5 bags. She dumped and I helped her spread it. LOL Roger was going to come do it but he's SO busy and I knew I could get it done - albeit slowly. I'm a little sore today - I'd forgotten how heavy those bags of mulch were. The mulch is black and it's beautiful! I've never used black before, but that's what Roger suggested and I loved the idea. He went to Lowe's and bought it the other day, but we hadn't gotten it put on yet. Yesterday was so beautiful and I just wanted to be outside.

Hey girl - I found that exact hair product on Amazon!!! And...................it's only $10 - it was like $16 (maybe $17) at Walgreen's, plus the gas to get there. What a deal, huh??? When in doubt, check Amazon. :wizard1:

I need to get off here - waving hi to all - no wait, Trudy @taxed4ever you are SO talented!!! What a gorgeous piece you created - I'm SO impressed. Thanks for sharing it with ut.

XOXO

@taxed4ever That painting is GORGEOUS! I love it!!!

Other than no fun dr appointments (Yay on a good retina report) looks like you all have a lot going on and fun things.. Hikes, meetings, dog walks... (see, I did a quick read through). Very envious over here in my corner, sitting at my work desk. lol
Creative me wants to scrap. Haven't made a page in what feels like weeks, though it probably hasn't been THAT long... but, then I look outside and say... nope... going out. This too shall pass. Soon it will be done and I'll be on the catio with the cats, Corel PSP open and a glass of wine next to me. Until then..... Tuesday's tip is...
STAY AWAY FROM THE POISON IVY

The painting is beautiful, Trudy!
I guess everyone is different. When I lost my husband I wanted to be with people. I didn't want to be at the house, especially at night by my self. The first 3 months were spent with my kids. After that I moved in with my good friend, Ilene! I lived with her just over 8 months before Mark and I got married. I'm not going to push her. She knows how to contact me when she is ready!
