I hoooooo--ooome! We got back yesterday a bit before dinner. We had such a nice time at my parents. The weather was beautiful- a bit cooler than I had expecyed so I am glad that i packed some jeans and sweatshirts for me. And yes, my fuzzy socks.

The kids went fishing every day with my dad, on Sunday we went to the local zoo- its small but nice. And it is definitely a very different experience going to a zoo with older kids! :lol: Other than that we relaxed! Nice!

Hope everyone here had an awesome weekend as well.

Sally- how was the Benefit? I am going to read your blog- I am sure you have some great info over there. What a fab thing you are doing. And what a great feeling to be back onstage with YMG and BFF's!

Sara- yay for pediciures!

Good Morning O Friends....

I hope you ALL had a wonderful weekend! Ours started out VERY busy and ended up VERY quiet....Friday...we worked our butts off at my Mom's all day...I was so wiped out....came home took a nap...and then volunteered myself to keep my two grandsons....so each Mommy showed up and dropped off a little guy...and we had some wild fun outside til about 9:30...and those little monkeys were up at 6:30 Sat....one of the reasons I just love being a grandmother...don't have to deal with that every SAT..HA! They went home by noon on Sunday...and it was quiet here the rest of the weekend....Scrapped...cleaned house...layed on the couch...tended my Facebook Farm...that just about does it!!

Chris....glad you had a great trip! We took our kids to the NC zoo when they were older...they liked it a lot...now they all say how much they remembered it and want to go back sometime....actually my DD Sharon is taking Cameran this weekend...it's about a 3 hours drive from here..but is worth it. Good to relax at "home", isn't i?

ME...so happy you got your massage and had a wonderful day on Sat...I saw it on your FB.

Ona....have you "drained" yet? Hope there is not too much damage from the erosion.

Dawn....so happy to hear from you..and glad you had a great weekend!

Morning Chris and LindaW! I am a walking zombie for right now...and fixing to leave for work ugh :(. It was amazing! We are both stiff, sore, blisters on feet, got rained on, got in a war of words with some people over our right to stand in front of the barricade, but would go right back and do it all over again. We even heard a band we didn't know before and now like, Cowboy Mouth, what an awesome show they put on!

Well, gotta run, I'll be back later for personals if I don't pass out from exhaustion after work LOL.

Good morning. Just poking in to say hi. Its been an interesting week around here. I've either gotten great sleep or no sleep at night and that sets the stage for the rest of my day!!! Chase really is a good little baby and his big sisters are adjusting so well that I am truely blessed, just tired. Friday I had a minimelt down because Gunar had to do some extra work so it got him home really late, Sadie BROKE my camera (I am still pretty upset about this it takes pictures but they aren't in focus and some come out over exposed) and I was just plain hormonal. Gunar got one weepy wife when he got home. Thankfully, he had icecream in hand so he knows how to make this lady happy.

Today we are just chilling out. I rented some vidoes for the girls and we are going to have a movie party, Curious George, Dora and Princess Party. Come on over for some popcorn ;).

Ok I've got to go feed the little man, have a great day everyone!!!
 
Good morning!! I am not quite sure how I am going to keep my eyes open today. We had a blast this weekend. It was so busy but so much fun. My dh didn't take care of his schedule in a timely manner so he got stuck working over the weekend. It sucked and he didn't get to really play with us. It was sad but we still had a great weekend without him. Because he was working I wasn't going to go camping for more than a night so my sister and i came up with a plan to go camping with our friends for just one night and take over my friend's camper. It worked out great. There was a great group there this year with lots of kids. Plus the weather this weekend was the best we have had for Memorial Day weekend in years. After my sister and I had our plan all figured out we got an invitation from my brother to go to one of his good friend's property. his parents bought the property in the 80s with several other families and they built a lake and use it for water skiing. They all compete and stuff. So we went down there and played at the lake. We ended up getting trapped there because dh got the shaft and ended up having to work differently than he had been told. They did a patient that they shouldn't have, he didn't get all the info and they didn't have the radiopharmaceutical he needed so he had to call the pharmacist after he got to the hospital and sit around and wait. It was lame. That doesn't explain the situation very well but it left us trapped at the lake for quite awhile. It worked out okay for us but it made for a very long day. I am now so tired and sunburnt. Poor Ethan woke up this morning and wanted to stay home and sleep. Wouldn't that be nice. Today is definately a coffee day. So tired.

So...random little thing...I got an friend invite from this girl on FB the other day. I had no idea who she was so I asked her. I saw that we had mutual friends so figured I knew her somehow. So she wrote back and said that we were friends in high school and listed some people we hung out with. I still had no clue so accepted her as a friend and figured I would look through her pics then decide if i knew her and if I wanted to keep her as a friend. So, I started looking through the pics and at about the 5-6 pic realized that yes I did know her but did not hang out with her in high school but rather hung out with him in high school. I knew that this had happened but only in theory...I didn't know the name she was using or how she looked. Don't get me wrong...I could care less if someone wants to change their sex. I don't understand it, and especially don't understand all the emotional issues that go along with this type of life change. I know that these people are truly miserable about their past life, but if you are going to reconnect with people from that life you should give them a little heads up that they are not who they were instead of just flinging it on you, ya know?? Anyway, not trying to start any kind of debate about the rights and wrongs of sex changes it was just weird that she didn't prep me a little. If you kwim. I had dated this person for a second so it was a little strange for me in that sense. Anyway...

I will come back in a bit for personals. I need to head off to work and definately get some coffee. I'll chat with you in a bit. I think I'll get some coffee to share with you all.
 
Clara...WOW..that would be a huge surprise!! I would think the nice thing to do would have been to warn you...how would you know??? I am a firm believer of who you are is who you are...and I know that people don't accept things of this nature very well...but you have to be courteous to others sensitivy about this. How did she know you would not just be like "OMG!!! YUCK!!"? but then again..she may be looking for your reaction and this would explain the silence over the situation....anyway...glad you had a blast of a weekend...sounds like fun!!:)
 
quick hi... I'm coming down with something and my voice sounds terrible, I feel like crap, and have a headache... on top of that I went to Will's play today at school and it was LOUD afterwards... he did great and got an award for Best Effort... so now we're just chilling out... I have to pick him up from school in about 45 mins... it was a quiet weekend around here...

hope you all had a great weekend. this is going to a quick driveby for me - busy day here, but i wanted to pop in and say howdy to everyone.

hope you all are having a great day ... it feels a lot like a monday to me today. but i slept really great last night - spent some time on the treadmill yesterday afternoon - i always sleep better after exercise. i need to remember that. ;)

okay...I am baaaaaa-aaaaack!! lol!! I just got my skydive all set up so that I jump with someone I know. I'm jumping with the brother of my friend who died in a plane crash a year and a half ago. I got to know my friend Casey's brother and sister over the past year and a half. This guy Kelly has thousands of jumps logged so I feel much better knowing that I will be attached to him rather than some random person. I am still freaking out about it though. Eeeeeek!!

Anyway...I promised some personals so here they are...

Chris - I am so glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. Warm is nice but having it be a little chilly so that you can get warm and comfy cozy has its perks also. When I look into the mirror and see my bright red face I think I could have used a little bit cooler weekend. lol!!

LindaW - Sounds like you had a busy weekend. I'm glad you got to hang out with the kiddos. My parents didn't get any kid time this weeknd. Next weekend they are taking my dd though so they will probably love that. And that situation with my friend is just strange. I am very open about people with issues of gender and sexual orientation. It was just very weird for me to find out like that without any warning. I don't like to make other people feel awkward and so with stuff like that where you want people to accept you, I would think you would prep them at least a little. But that's me I guess. I may not understand her life choices but I do respect them. I can't imagine if I thought differently about it, how I would react to something like that. That is how people get hurt. Some people react really horribly to this type of news.

Dawn - it sounds like you see 3EB like I see DMB. I go every year to the Columbia Gorge to see him for Labor day weekend and it is just as good every year. Last year was amazing. It was like they wanted to play all night because of their loss of their sax player who died after an accident. It was an amazing concert. this year will be awesome especially because we really like who will be opening. We're going for two nights this year. It will be awesome. I'm glad you had a great time.

Joslyn - Hopefully Chase will get onto a regular sleep schedule very soon. That up and down is so hard. You think it is under control and then it changes a little. I hope you have lots of coffee on hand to get through the rough days.

Sandra - I hope you feel better. Lots of vitamin C. Enjoy your chill time.

Sally - I am so glad that you have your band together and you all got to play for a cause. I'm sorry t hat you had to play for a cause though and wish it were just because instead. I hope your concert raised some good money. We are doing a lunch for Relay for Life in a couple of weekends. I am not very happy with cancer. I know way too many people with it and have known to many people who have passed from this disease. I do have some great stories of people who kicked cancer's a** though!! I hope you have a great story to tell soon too.

Ona - I am so glad that your family is all safe and really happy you get an extra few days off. I guess you guys don't celebrate Memorial Day with us but a few extra days off are always nice. I hope the rain didn't cause too much work or cost for you guys. Hopefully you get the tree situation taken care of soon.

ME - just missed you. Tuesdays after a 3day are almost worse than Mondays, except for the fact you got a 3 day weekend. You'll have to use the exercise = better sleep trick more often and as motivation to get up and moving. I wish that were enough for me.

Clara-OMGoodness! what a shocker, she/he should've warned you, at least you figured it out and she wasn't hiding it. I'm so glad you had a great weekend! and yes, I think my obsession with 3eb is like yours for DMB :). ooh, I'm sooooo jealous you're going skydiving before me! I want to so bad but haven't even thought about setting it up yet, I don't know anyone who'd want to do it with me. I'll have to start thinking more seriously about it. I can't wait to hear all about it from you :).

ME-WTG on the exercise! I really need to start myself, it really does help with sleep, mood, and so much more.

Sandra-I hope you feel better, drink you some good old hot tea with honey and lemon! Congrats to Will!

Jos-awww, I'm sorry to hear about your cam, can it possibly be fixed?! I bet poor Sadie feels awful :(. I'm glad little Chase is such a good baby and that the girls are doing so good with him!

Hey ladies! whew! Its late here! time for bed! wanted to pop in quickly while im online.,....been a rough couple of days, Nico is now getting a 2nd molar...GRRR these molars are AWFUL!!!! and what sthe deal...arent they 2 year molars hes only 16 months!!! get outta here molars we arent ready!!!!!!

last night he was up for 1 hour at 2am just absolutely screaming and crying...just inconsolable. It was awful.... Gave him Motrin, and after about 15 mins he just looked at me and put his head on my shoulder and fell asleep. I felt so bad!!! its the worst when you cant do anything!! so anyway thats about it from here! had a great time at a picnic on Monday... and now back to the regular week! Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! will pop in tomorrow!! NIte all!
