Good morning and happy Tuesday, dear Ooos!
No sun or blue skies out of my window right now so I am going to bring it here myself
Even with the sun visible yesterday it was not a day to be out for a walk or yardwork. It was *freezing*-- windy and very chilly. I couldn't; get warm and ended up wearing my fuzzy, fleece lines sweatpants and heavy sweatshirt. So much for May weather. :rolleyes1:

I puttered around most of the day, finishing small tasks that needed to get done. Most of them at least. I made cards for two of the three b-days this week. I worked on the grocery order and figured out what I was going to make Gary for his b-day dinner and dessert tomorrow. Since I had a lot of time in the afternoon, I did a 40-minute yoga session. My right wrist is feelin' it today. When Cait was a couple of months old, friends of mine were away and I was taking care of their pets My parents were up to visit the kids so I walked down to their house before they left. It was sleeting and icy and I fell, putting my hand out to break my fall. Except I am 99.99999% sure I broke my wrist instead. I didn't go to the ER- the weather was bad and I wanted my parents to get back home. Gary was at work and I didn't want to take a 2 yo and 2-month-old on the icy roads to the closest hospital-- 35 minutes away. So I wrapped it and iced it and it really hurt for a long time. Now I have very little range of motion, it barely bends. I *think* yoga is helping it but after yesterday, I am not so certain.
Any PTs out there who might have a suggestion on how to get some RoM and strength back?

Gary and I are heading to my parents this morning to get that handrail installed for them. Cait is working remotely today and Scott and Sam are here too. I wish I knew what to feed everyone tonight. I cleaned out the fridge yesterday and there isn't much in there. Chicken/chick'n nuggets and Rice-a-Roni? pfft. I hate this having-to-eat-every-day deal.
If I had a million dollars I would hire a personal chef. Nope. A million dollars wouldn't cover that. If I had a million dollars I would get a Hello Fresh Subscription, that will last longer.

Tip for Tuesday:
I have a good tip today. Last year, @scrap-genie gave me some really good tips on identifying birds. I used them for a while but then stopped . However, I remembered that I had the Merlin App still on my phone and started to use the Sound ID while I was outside in the morning with the dogs.
I have to see if Scott has an extra pair of binoculars I can use because I can't usually see the birds in the trees. The app is neat because it will identify the birds by their song/calls. You can save and replay the recording and it highlights which bird is making what sound. So far, I have heard/recorded House Wren, Northern Cardinal, House Finch, Carolina Wren, Tufted Titmouse, and American Robin. My next stage it to find the binoculars and figure out which ones I can see.

@vickyday I hope that you had a great day of scrapping yesterday! BTW- Congrats again on your Standing, O-- that page was fantastic!
Asher is adorable trying to scam you into feeding him again. J runs around with her bowl in her mouth a la Snoopy
How is your basement holding up? I heard the sump pump going on all day yesterday but nothing so far today. Nope- scratch that, I just heard a small gurgle down there.

@tanteva It isn't still snowing, is it?
I think that is an awesome idea about selling the stickers! Good luuuuuuucccckkkk!!!!!!!

@taxed4ever My goodness, I am so sorry that you were that sick. Really takes the relaxation out of that beautiful, romantic getaway. :( Plllllleeeeease, don't push yourself. I can only imagine how frustrating it is to not be able to *do* things. Or feel even worse when you try. :hug1:
Yay!!!! That is wonderful news about the family coming to you this summer!! Soooo exciting!!!!!
The storm system is *huge,* hope that Heather doesn't get flooded at all. Hipe you enjoyed your bath and soaked the sore muscles away

@scrapinmom Happy birthday!! Another May baby-- I know lots of them LOL! I love the new avatar as well, so sweet and snuggly!♥

@Cherylndesigns Ava is a force of nature. I bet that if she tried to take on the rock, she would win. Mmmhmmm :nod1:
Cashews are really big in a lot of vegan "cheese" recipes. You use them to make fake mozzarella too. (I could be vegetarian but vegan-- not a chance, I like real cheese too much). That was sweet to have dinner brought to you. :heartpumpred:
The weather is beyond  The weather app said it was 56* but it sure felt waaaaay colder here. I thought about picking up the branches but even being out with the dogs for a few minutes was too cold for me. I want to start hardening off my seedlings but it's been too cold for me to put the plastic screen over the greenhouse shelf.

Better roll...... :grouphugyay:

I haven't heard the sump pump yet today, but I've only been up for 20 minutes. I got up at 8 today.....almost your time! ;)
Yesterday's temp read 66 but it felt a LOT colder than that here, too! I wore my turtle neck sweater all day!

I'm not a PT but I broke my wrist in the 90's. My PT was squeezing a rubber ball, doing wrist curls with 1# weights, I believe, and also just rotating the wrist in circles. I have pretty good ROM, probably 99%. While wearing the brace for 6 weeks, I still used that hand (right) to do my job as a clerk 5 hours a day keying in numbers at a hardware store in the back office.
Thanks for the TfT. I'll have to get that bird app now!

Good Morning!
Well it didn't take long for us to lose sight of the sun yesterday. It was cloudy most of the day and then rained around 6 while we were out for supper at Dodge City Steakhouse. Mark was not in the mood for Tilapia and salad last night, which is what he was going to get at home. He did eat a small salad at the restaurant with his steak and baked potato. And they serve the yummiest yeast rolls as an appetizer! I ate half of my BBQ sandwich and fries then and the other half around midnight, LOL!

Today is a visit to the dentist for a cleaning. We are trying out a new-to-us dentist in our little town. Mark had his appointment first when he lost a crown. The doc replaced the crown and filled a spot where food was always lodging in a space and filled a tooth. He said the staff was super nice and that he has never seen anyone work so hard to save us money! Mark bought a dental plan for us while he was there. It includes 2 cleanings a year at least and discounts on the other services. Today they will take X-rays of my implant-cavity-filled mouth, LOL, then do the cleaning. No telling what else might happen!

I stayed in my jammies for most of the day yesterday for my MMM. I also worked on a couple of scrapbook pages for a couple of challenges. Not bad for May 1st! I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by!

OK, it's time for me to get ready for the dentist. I still need to make my bed. I got the dishes put away while my coffee was perking, so that is done. I need to pick up a bit around the house today and run the sweeper. We shall see how much of whatever happens after I get back from the dentist. Probably depends on how much pain they put me through and how much of a headache I have after bending my neck backwards in those chairs! A lot of my headaches start in the neck which is one of the things I want the doctor to look at after the colonoscopy in June.....baby steps! ;)

Have a great day!

Morning ladies... I have had my :showering:and got dressed, emptied the dishwasher and made my bed all before 7:30 am. A record for me LOL. When Heather face times with me this morning, she won't recognize me without my pj's on :giggle4:. It is going to be a gorgeous sunny day with nice warm temps here on the Island (sorry @faerywings). Tomorrow is supposed to be the same, so our hike will be a great one I am sure! I am going to attempt it as it is on the mountain right behind where we live. I will use my poles and just go at a slow pace, as I know that I am still not 100% with my stamina yet. I have an eye appointment this afternoon and I really don't expect much to have changed with my vision. I might get some new frames as mine are old and I always have to tighten the screws on them. Still waking up in the morning feeling groggy and foggy headed. Allergies maybe?? The pollen is getting bad right now. Perhaps using my Neti Pot will help? My left eye is always dripping too, what a nuisance!! Anyway, my day yesterday was spent :vacuuming:, :mopping:, rest, more baking, rest, then talking to my brother and SIL :multitasking: they flew out late yesterday to Montreal and then onward to Rome after that. One month away on another adventure, those two don't sit still for very long. After a few weeks in Italy they will head to Croatia and then home again. Ohhh how I wish my DH would like to travel more!!

@faerywings - Your weather sounds just horrid!! Sure hope that the sun re-appears for you soon! Nice that you and your Gary are helping your parents out with the railing install! I hope that you have a nice visit with them while you are there! Yes the soak in the tub really helped my sore muscles! Sorry I can't help you much with the PT advice, but what Vicky said seems to be pretty good advice! They say that a sprain is much more painful than a break, so perhaps you didn't break your wrist, perhaps it was a very bad sprain?? My wrists always hurt when I do yoga, just weak muscles there I guess? I have that Merlin app on my phone and just love it when we are out on our hikes, a good pair of binoculars would be great to have, another thing to carry in my backpack though LOL.

@vickyday - I am going to check out your page today, congrats on the Standing O!! Hope the dentist appointment goes well and you do not end up with yet another headache!! Yes you really should talk to your Dr. about the neck bending causing the headaches!! Perhaps it is a pinched nerve in your neck or something?? Hope the cleaning is pain free!!

Ok I still have to do some behind the scene things here today, as nothing got done yesterday. I hope you all have a lovely day! :bye2:

No it isn't snowing anymore, but it's way colder than normal. 12*C (53*F). And it's been cloudy for over a week. I'm so sick of this weather.

There won't be any stickers sold. At least not in that store. Really don't get why she wanted to see them, cuz I sent her some images when I applied to the store, and told her about my design idea. Then she looked at them, and said they weren't the style she wanted, and sent me a link to a Etsy store with what she wanted - 350% different from my idea. I'm beginning to think my communication skills are totally f***ed up.

Yesterday was a holiday here in Sweden, and Urban was home from work. Today when he got away to work, it totally dawned on me - the penny dropped finally - I'm unemployed. I'm a housewife. I'm sooooo effing bored!!! At first I felt I had to hurry and make all the chores I needed to do, then I realized: no rush at all. I'm staying home doing chores all the time now. &%&¤¤ I miss work!!!

Good afternoon. It's a beautiful day here, but windy again. Chris @faerywings I'm right there with you on the wind factor. Our temp 67, but that wind knocks it down ten degrees. I can't take it. It's supposed to really warm up by the weekend. It is beautiful and sunny though. I have to water my ferns today and the wind always blows the water all over me and gets me wet. They're hanging up high on the front porch and I have to reach up to even water them. It's always a battle with the wind and the wind wins. Wet glasses and all. But the ferns must be watered. :whip4: I'm also there with you on the vegan thing. No way could I give up real cheese. Vegetarian I could do and I call myself a semi-vegetarian; always have. I do eat meat occasionally, but don't crave it like some people do. I can do without it. That chicken that Adrienne made the other night tasted mighty good. We were out the other day and she wanted to split a cheeseburger and it tasted pretty good. Like I said every once in a while I'll eat a little meat.

Vicky @vickyday hope all goes well at the dentist today.

Trudy @taxed4ever please don't overdo I know you're anxious to get back out there but you did just get over an extreme illness. Glad Heather and the boys got to see you dressed. LOL I know that you're anxious to be having all the company - I wish Steph and Asher could come for a whole month, but she gets no time off now. We're trying to get Asher out here but haven't worked that out yet.

Hello to everybody and have a good day. TFT I got nothin'. :cuffed:

Popping in with a quick hello. Been out straight. I hope everyone is doing well. Feeling better... over COVID, shingles and all that ails you.

Nothing exciting to report from my corner. Just wanted you all to know I haven't forgotten about ya'll and I hope you're well.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a less chaotic day and I'll pop back in to chat!
