*deep sighs of relief*
Everything went well with the surgery! My mom called me last night when she got into her room (I got called first, even before my dad, does that make me the favorite? hahaha!) and she sounded good. She said that she felt good too. They had to make an adjustment already with her heart rate, she said it felt like it was pounding, they checked the reading and were able to adjust it. I think that impressed her a lot. She was also impressed by her EKG. She has had enough of them to recognize how erratic hers normally looks, she said the one after the surgery looked very even, Dr said it is almost a normal EKG. As of last night, they expect her to be discharged today, so all of this is fab news.
I had to scrap the idea that we were going to use to make centerpieces. I was going to paint beer/seltzer bottles with black chalk paint, and then glue a silver/black glittery ribbon around the center. The black chalk paint is too gunky and the other colors I had (white and grey) looked awful with the ribbon. I ended up having to scrub the paint off of the bottles and we will try something else. I am hitting the dollar store today after my haircut and will look for silver glitter. Cait suggested ModPodge the bottom half of the bottles and roll them in silver glitter.
Happy If A Bit Shocked News: Foxeysquirrel asked me to be on her CT! @Kythe too! But wow, talk about having a bad case of Imposter Syndrome. I am so intimidated by her designs and her CT. LOL
Plans for today: finish up the food order and get my hair cut/colored/blown straight for Thursday. I have a LO to finish for the Color Challenge and then I am going to dip my toes into a LO for Teddi (Foxeysquirrel)
I am hoping that scrapping for FS is going to be a good, creative outlet and stress reliever. I need something that will let my brain "roam" and relax. In case you hand;t noticed, I get stressed out really easily.
In case you hadn't noticed. #dk#crazy#clap
Anyway, I am so much better today, and thank you all for listening and supporting and sending good thoughts to my mom.
Hugs!!!
