Good morning, my lOvelies!!!
*big stretch*
I did it all wrong yesterday. I should have done my yoga last instead of first. I might not be quite as stiff this morning otherwise. hahah!
I got most of my housework/laundry/food shopping order done pretty early. I hadn't had time to do any yoga in several days and I didn't want to get out of the habit so I did a nice back and shoulder routine. That part was fine. After lunch, Gary and I took the dogs on another hike. We took a new trail and had to do some water crossings. If you haven't hopped rocks with a stubborn-minded dog on a leash, you haven't lived The dogs were extremely excited to go through the streams -- however, my goal was to stay dry *G*
We did about 3 miles and because of the dogs, we go at a decent pace. I wish they would slow down, I like to stop and peek under the rocks, look in the puddles, and watch the birds. But they get wound up sniffing at everything and instead of making them walk at our pace like good dog walkers would do, we go faster. After that, I decided that I would plant the tomatoes and flowers that I got for Mother's Day. That was another hour and a half outside. I should have saved the yoga for after my shower and stretched everything out. Oh well. It is what it is and nothing that some Advil can't cure. (That would make a great new motto for me, eh? )
Today I am going to mulch everything that I planted yesterday. [Note to self: Yoga afterward]
I also am going to possibly have a houseful for dinner. Tom will be here for dinner. Scott's off a bit not sure if Sam is coming here. I am making roasted broccoli flatbreads so my plan is to double the flatbread recipe and then top half of them with the regular broccoli and lemon ricotta topping and the other half with a vegan option. I think I have vegan mozzarella shreds. That should be easy enough to adapt for whoever ends up here.
Tip for Tuesday
Does anyone have a good tip to share?
I can't think of anything, but I have a tip request -- this one's for you @bcgal00
How do you keep your dogs from pulling on a leash? When she is wearing her halter which is currently broken, Whisky walks perfectly. I could probably unclip her leash and she would stay right next to me. Jaida, OTOH, is a mess. We have tried the Gentle lead halter (that's the one I prefer) and she is OK with that. Gary got her a harness that goes under her belly and over her back and she's much better than not using a halter/harness at all but she still pulls.
I'll take any tips or hints that you got.
Have a happy day!
