That is my head after it exploded with last night's news. The family was playing Family Feud after dinner last night so I was away from the news for a couple of hours. Then all hell breaks loose. My goodness, this Admin is gonna give me an ulcer.

I won't say anymore 'bout any of that. Not that I am mentally capable of doing so even if I wanted. The second I feel like I have processed one scandal- there comes another. Iy yi yi!

Yesterday was one of those weird days. Gary and I were going to run some errands but neither of us was up to it. But I got more stuff tidied for the party on Sat. including washing all of the wine glasses. They hang over the island and get very grimy. I finished up prepping everything for food shopping, found my bone density test results, and worked on filling out the paperwork for the spine Dr a little more.

I have to go food shopping this morning and then drop Scott's car off at the shop. He is working FT all week, so I think Gary and I will do that for him. We might have to fight over who gets to drive the new car. :boxing:

And dinner. I need to figure out dinner. Again! *exasperated*

Enjoy your day, I think will be very happy with the sun and warmer temps!

Rae- I think the better image of me is a slow moving alligator on my driveway rather than a lizard. They seem much smaller and nimble than I am heh!!
Hope that you got all of your work done.
So cool about your mayo.

Trudy- we are finally seeing some sun on the east coast so I can send you some rays!
I am not waiting for the sun for my flowers, I am waiting for Scott to bring some home but no luck yet.
That is going to be a long hike tomorrow, but I know you will have a great time. Prepare that hot tub/jacuzzi/shower/heat pack for Thursday LOL
Hmmm.... your MIL and I share that same stubborn quality. OTOH- I wouldn't be outside in a t-shirt if it was cold.

*waving hi to Nancy along with Trudy*

Good morning - yesterday was filled with going to and from (an hour each way) to the viewing, funeral and family dinner of my DIL grandmother. She lived an amazing life - she was 99 years old. While she was born in the US she was raised in Poland. It took her many tries to get out of Poland and Europe when WWII started. The advances she saw! Her family was sad of course but realize she lived a great life. We left our house at 9:30am and did not get home until 5pm. I am glad that we went to help them celebrate her life. Came home watched hockey and went to bed. I had a great Mother's day. My oldest son had our family and his In-laws over for dinner. He grilled steak and then baked potatoes, corn on the cob, salads and my DH made coconut cream pie for desert. It cracked me up with the corn on the cob almost all of us wanted the corn cut from the cob. We love the taste but not the mess of eating it. It was a fun day! Watched a lot of hockey. My son and DIL gave me a hockey puck signed by Patrik Elias, my favorite Devils player. He just retired and had a signing while of course I was in Florida so could not go. But they got me his puck. That is so sweet. Today is just recoup from the weekend. Today seems so like a Monday as everyone was home yesterday. Poor Luther is just sleeping. My DH took my son up to Jersey City and back home after midnight so Luther was up protecting and then up early for a walk. But the best news is that the sun is out and temps will be in the 70 and up to near 90 by the end of the week. Yea! Then back down to the normal 70s which is also good. Love having windows open.

Chris yes DJT keeps the news organization busy. Crazy! Hope your pain in back has become less! Good luck food shopping. Glad you are getting your home ready for party! A little each day!

Trudy hope you have lovely weather for your hike. It will be long but I bet stunning vistas. So sweet that all the kids remembered Mom. Flowers sound beautiful. He is a good son to remember. Sorry the plans don't work for him to visit but in the military hard to make plans.

Rae your mayo sounds interesting indeed. So proud of how you and Trudy are maintaining and enjoying this new life style. Hope the work load eases a bit. Are you getting some alone time - did you DH head back to the trailer?

Have a great day all - Luther is up so off for our walk!

Morning O-zies!! The sun is shining and I am hoping that the temps warm up too! So nice to see that big ball of yellow light again!! Hopefully it will stick around for tomorrow! I am off to the pool this morning, enough of this laying around and not doing much in the way of exercise! Hopefully it won't be too busy at the pool, the worst part is trying to find a parking space as all the high school kids think it is their private parking lot :mmph: I don't remember so many kids having their own cars when my kids went to school, certainly not when I attended high school. But that was back in the Stone Age :becky: Anyway I really need to catch up here too and get some commenting done in the gallery. So many wonderful pages!

Chris - Good for you for getting some clean up done for the upcoming party! Hope you and Gary don't beat each other up over who drives the new car!

Oh yes the things that Mr. Trump does!! Always keeps the media busy doesn't he!! Don't stress my friend, it will give you wrinkles :becky: I hope you get some good news today for a change!!

Nancy - Oh my a long day for you yesterday, but it sounds like DIL's grandmother had a very full life! So nice of you to help support her at the Service! The dinner for Mother's day sounds yummy! Funny that you all wanted the corn cut from the cob! I think that might be something I will miss eating this summer, that and Water melon, although so far I have no craving or desire for it. I saw your gift of the hockey puck on Facebook, what a great gift for you! Hope you and Luther enjoy your walk this morning in the sunshine!! It's about time I would say! Send us some warmth please, my plants are very chilly and so am I LOL.

Rae - Yes that would be awesome to have a photo shoot with you! I would love that! Thanks for the recipe link, I will try to make that later on today!! Did I tell you how much I love your new AVI!! You look amazing!!

Ok off to get my swimsuit on and see if its less busy in the lap pool earlier in the day. Soon I will need a new bathing suit as this one is getting pretty loose on me :bliss: Although with the price of swimsuits I will try to make this one last as long as I can! Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. We saw the weather last night and am keeping fingers crossed. The rain is supposed to stop later today and stay clear right thru the wkend. Of course that may change and not sure if it applies to WA b/c our trailer is a little closer to the mountains and a higher elevation. But hopefully we'll get dry weather for our wkend away. Darrell is staying home today to install some kind of charger in his truck today if the rain stops and tomorrow he might be taking my computer back for repairs for me. So he'll probably leave Thurs and I'll join him Fri night out at the trailer. Talked to my computer tech last night and he says he'll need to reload everything again. Not only is PS and LR acting up but I'm getting weird messages now and the computer shuts down. WTH??? Only 3.5 mths old and already crapping out. Ugh....I hate technology sometimes. I'm transferring over photos off of it first even tho he said I didn't need to. I want a 2nd copy of them anyway, to be safe.

Work has been busy but that's ok b/c I get 3 days off this wkend and the extra work means my next pay period will remain about the same even though I'll have an extra day off. That's a good thing. I'll probably work harder too for a few days b/c I won't have the distraction of my PC/internet beside my work computer to temp me to slack off work and go online, as it'll be in for repairs. I'm so happy to have the computer upstairs to use in the evening now so during times like this, if my main computer isn't working or out for repairs, at least I have something to use, its just a bit slower.

Chris - go drive your new car! Enjoy it. I too don't know what to have for dinner. I need to make a list of some fast, easy recipes to refer to. I tend to get stuck in the same old groove so it helps me to have a binder in my kitchen where I store some recipes. I usually go in and swap out a few recipes every few months to keep it interesting. I haven't done that since I went keto. I don't have time during the wk to think much about dinner so it helps to flip thru a small binder and pick something. If I start looking online or thru cookbooks, hours can go by and I still haven't chosen LOL.

Trudy - enjoy your swim. I'm looking forward to getting back into that this summer when we're out at the trailer. I'll need a new bathing suit too :) Yes, they are expensive which sucks but it will be worth it to fit into one a bit better and not feel so self-conscious about it!

Nancy - What a long life...99...wow. I feel old now some days and can't imagine what living another 40 yrs would feel like. Darrell and I were just talking about the years and how technology and lifestyles have changed since we were kids.

I'm getting to work now. Be back later. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Hi O's
It's been really warm here and I haven't taken my dog for a walk. I need to go out in the evening when the temps are better, but then the gnats are out- yuck. With my heart rate running high, I am hot all the time anyway. A walk outside with the pups gets the sweat pumps going.

Hope everyone has a great day.
