Yesterday was a good day! Dorky Mom that I am, I was so happy when Scott called me from work around 4.30 saying that he should get off somewhere around 5 pm and would I be OK to wait for dinner until he gets home. *mama heart swoon* You would not believe how happy that made me. LOL
He got home at 6 and we were able to have dinner and chat for almost a half hour and then he had to mow lawns for our neighbor. Cait thought that she would be home for dinner but wasn't, but I think I should have them both here tonight. Yay!!!
It was a nice end to a heartwrenching day after seeing what was happening in Gaza.
I wasn't able to find any flexitarian recipes but I found 2 pasta dishes with lots of garlic that I think the family will like. Cait was also very happy to have me co-pilot. The GPS on her phone had her go past the dentist office for almost 2 miles then had her turn around in a driveway to a country club. But we got there in plenty of time and the girl she babysits for is a chatterbox so it was cute to listen to her and her 10 yo opinions hahaha!!!!
Today I'm off to the grocery store. I would love to plant my flowers but it looks like we are going to get heavy rain and thunderstorms all day. Scott is going to my parents to help them with some things around their yard and my mom called to ask him if he wanted to come for breakfast which he said: "Of course!" Leah is off today and I told him that Grandma would love to have her for b-fast too. Speaking of Leah, she called me to invite me to her graduation cermony- OK, let me back up. We were invited to the ceremony but would be sitting in the theater that had a live feed on a screen. She had an extra ticket and asked if I wanted to sit with her mom, Grandma, and Scott. I was so honored! Scott was a bit annoyed that it was even an issue since the other option was to invite one of her aunts. He thought that I "deserved" the ticket as her "other mom" but I get how families can be. I am just so darn proud of her.
Have a fabulous day, my lOves!
