Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Ready? Breathe in.... and out...... and in..... and out..... Feel the breath flowing through you, relaxing every cell. In one more time.... and out.

Finally, I see some blue sky, I hope it lasts. It supposed to stay sunny but cold in the mid-50s. We are supposed to break 70* this weekend so I am hopeful for that. But for now, I am still wearing several layers of sweatshirts and my heat is on in the house. SMH!

Did you all have a nice day yesterday? I did! I spent over two hours really scrubbing the bathrooms, grout, and soap build-up and tiles. But that was just the ok part. I admit I get very happy when I clean and actually *see* a difference when I am done. It is the real reason why I have dogs. LOL But nope, the best part of the day was when we got a package in the mail. A very, very delicious package.

Leah's best friend's mom is a baker and was running a giveaway for her crumb cakes. Arlene and Leah nominated my family to win one. It is so good. Chocolate crumb cake with the precise ratio of cake to crumb: 1 to 3.
We are so blessed to have the best family and friends. It amazes me on a regular basis I wish that I could give back to everyone. I am not comfortable with the idea that we get but are not able to give. Some day I hope that I will be is a position to do that again.

Today, I have some stuff to do around the house, lots of laundry for one. I think i might try to get some more weeding done and plants some seeds. The last two weeks, the FP gave out packs of flower seeds which made me happier than the actual food. LOL
Mama Robin is in and out of the nest often and we have been able to watch from the window as she feeds the babies. It was hailing here yesterday and we were worried yet again but so far, so good. *knocks wood*

Gratitudes:
- coffee
- sunshine
- family and friends
- the O and all of the O-zies!

xoxo

Nancy- I hate the weather reports too! Bah humbug! I can't find the map although I saw it this morning, but are you going to be on the route for the next flyover? Two Osprey flew overhead yesterday I guess en route to where the starting point is today? I didn't see them, but wow I heard and felt them. My house shook. They are doing a pretty big loop over the metro area so you should be able to see it. If I can find the map again, I will post it.
Congrats and be safe to your DS! Gary and I were joking that we miss riding. Or at least the *idea* of riding. To be young and carefree and pain-free.
I obviously haven't seen any of this Outlander season and will have to wait until my library gets it and is open or for it to come on Netflix. But if I am on track with the books, the finale must have been another rough one.
I will take lots of shots too and hope for the best so I understand where your DS is coming from. I was more like you when it came to shooting with film. It is funny that you are like that even with it being Digi. heh.

Trudy- happy flowers everywhere! Still so jealous. My azalea usually blooms around Mother's Day and is done by Scott's b-day (21st) and it is still just tight buds. Such a bummer with our temps. Your yard must look gorgeous though.
How exciting to be starting the kitchen! I am looking fwd to seeing the progress.
I understand about you wanting to hug your sister. It is really hard and I hope that by the time this is as close to over as it is going to be, that we won't afraid to hug.

felis- That is fun to rearrange the rooms a bit. Was there a lot of fur behind the furniture? It gets everywhere.
I was going to ask you if you ever tried Feng shui. My house is laid out strangely to even if I wanted to, things would not be "right." As for the furniture from your g-parents- I always sound old and cranky when I say it, but they don't make things like they used to!!
My family is very kissy-huggy. Lous, boisterous, demonstrative. I know that Gary had a hard time adjusting to it early on in our relationship. His family is not like mine.

Interrupting myself again:
Scott showed us a video of a little girl-- maybe 2-3 years old that was on Reddit. She was babbling away at her parents in Italian. We obviously did not understand a word she said but her mannerisms were clear as day. I laughed and said that when I was her age I probably looked and sounded just like that, hands flying all around. One of the kids told me that after a few glasses of wine, that is what I look and sound like *now*

Felis, so sorry that you had bad cancer news, and I am very sorry for that loss.

Kay- Oh my, what a crazy situation with the nozzles! I am glad that you were able to call support and have it taken care of. And very smart to write it all down in case it happens again. Did you get all 2 doz. pages printed? Good for you!!
My mom always told me about the no white after Labor Day rule and she still refers to it. Such a silly thing, right?
Oh no no no no no--- please no snow in June!!! :faint2:
Your family chat must have been lots of fun!

xoxoxo!

good morning - just got back from an early morning walk with Luther. It was windy and chilly but the sun was shining and a bright blue sky. Everything is so leaved out but I was able to see an egret, black crowned night heron, common yellow throat, tree swallows and then the best was a blue gray gnatcatcher. He just came out on a branch and chattered. He was so cute. My son and his MG came by to pick up a cook book on cooking with an iron skillet. So glad that they are having fun cooking together. Last night Anna Aspnes had an hour class where she discusses various pages. She gave me some great ideas as I have not scrapped kids in years. She shows several pages and it is just fun. She only charges $5 and it is all given as a donation to a food bank. The designers here at the O are just so good.

Chris it is so nice to see the sun! Glad you get such joy from cleaning some where along the way I lost those feelings. I guess to me I love it when it is clean but I find it so discouraging when it does not stay that way. Enjoy some time outdoors!

Trudy in our area everything is in bloom too! It is such a beautiful time. Have fun with the kitchen redo! Cant wait to see photos.

Kay I feel your pain with printer nozzles. My son was able to figure out how to get them to clean and then everything printed well. He did it so fast that I did not have a chance to write it down but that sure is a good idea for the next time. But it must feel so good to have gotten them all printed and put in the books. Good idea to rest and read!

Felis so sorry about the cancer news. It is the worst. My sister loves to rearrange her furniture me I really I don't like change. But today I am thinking I need change. How sweet to think of the kitties getting sun in the morning.

Grateful for sun and walking
Grateful for family

Morning everyone! It is a rainy grey day here today, but still nice and mild temps. We really did need the rain and it looks like it will be sticking around for a few more days. Friday looks like the sun might make an appearance again though. Wonder what everyone will do if the long weekend coming up is filled with rainy days?? They are opening up a few more ferries for the long weekend and allowing people to stay in their cars, for the trip. But really people just stay home or go and visit a lovely place that is nearby where you live. We don't need the virus coming over from the mainland :mmph: We are doing so well here on the Island, we sure don't need to have more cases right now! I got one small section of my cupboards done yesterday. Cleaned them with T.S.P. then sanded then wiped them down again. Put on one coat of Kilz primer and then two coats of the white kitchen cabinet paint and WOW the look amazing!! It will be a long drawn out process, but I know I will love the results! Then I will have to convince DH that we might need new backsplash and counter tops LOL. We will have to wait until we win the lottery to do that I think :mmph: So today, more of the same, hope to get a page finished here too. I keep trying but my mojo has gone out the window. I got Mason's birthday card out in the mail this morning (sent it with DH to mail it). Now I need to get Isaac's done. The mail is terribly slow right now, so sure hope everything arrives in time for the boys!

Chris - I enjoy the cleaning process too, the only thing I really don't like is to dust! So things tend to get a bit dusty around here. Good thing there is no pet hair or my house would have a big fur ball in every corner LOL. I had to laugh when you described the two Osprey fly over your house, thinking of the birds and thought Wow you must have really big birds in your area :pound: I am glad that you are finally seeing some blue sky and really hope that the coming days will bring the warmth that you really need! Yes our flowers are a bit late this year too, but we had a really dry cool April and it seems that everything is about 2-3 weeks behind. Sure hope this rain doesn't ruin the blooms! How fabulous that you got such a sweet surprise in the mail!! :hungry: What do you mean you don't give back?? You are always giving back! To us everyday and to all the people in your life you are a kind and generous person! You give home made gifts and uplift all of us everyday with your fun personality and wonderful stories of your family! Thank You!! The best gifts are not material things!!

Nancy - You see so much on your morning walks! Some people don't even realize that there are birds in the trees or blooms on bushes. It amazes me how some people are like zombies when they are on their walks and are doing it just to walk the dog. It is nice that your son and his main squeeze are having fun cooking together! Glad that you got to do that class with Anna! I totally forgot about it, but guess I could see the taped version of it today?

Kay - Uggh on all the work to get the printer going again. It has happened to me also, what a pain!! Good idea to have a reminder to print out a coloured page every once in a while!

Felis - Thanks for liking my photos of the staircase and now wanting to see my kitchen re-do. I just need the brightness in my house and figured there is no better time to do that than right now LOL. My Gary cringes every time I want to update the house, but at least this is a fairly inexpensive way to do it! Hope you figure out the best way to arrange the furniture so your Kittys can enjoy the morning sun! They do love to bask in the sunshine and warmth don't they! I will miss sitting on my front deck in the sun but yes we really needed this rain! I hope you are having a lovely evening and so sorry about your Cancer news, it is very sad!!

Ok I better get busy and get some sanding done ! Mason will be calling very soon too. Have a great day everyone!

Running behind today. Read until after midnight then slept in until 8 AM... know I am operating on a fuzzy mind. I poured liquid creamer in the coffee cup then popped it into the microwave. Then discovered I forgot to add the left-over coffee to the cup! ! ! :yuck: Finally got it done right only to discover it was too bitter to drink... Poured it out and made a fresh pot of coffee then forgot to add the creamer. Geeze... maybe I should have stayed in bed for another hour or so! I was cold last night so put a throw on top of the comforter/sheet... but slept cold all night. May have to change into warmer PJs tonight.

Yes, gals... I did get all the pages printed out and into Bill's Memory Album. So glad to have that project caught up-to-date. Will try to stay on top of it from now on. It is getting full so may run out of room in the next couple of months. I love looking back through it as it shows how far I have come since his death.

We had just a bit of rain yesterday... almost too small to measure... .04" of rain. But it was on the cool side. I baked a dozen blueberry muffins yesterday since it was cool in the house. Now I have 3 packages (3 to a package) in the freezer.

Chris, I saw the video of the baby birds... so very sweet and hungry! Your guy did a fabulous job on the video. Hope they survived the hail storm. You sure are getting hit with bad weather lately. Hope it warms up soon for you. I agree... it is wonderful to see the progress when you clean... gives you a good feeling when it is done.

Trudy, sorry you are getting rain and storms, too. Glad things are doing okay on the Island... and understand not wanting visitors to come over and bring the virus.

Felis, so sorry about the bad news on cancer. It is always so hard when someone you know or love gets that diagnosis.

Well, here it is noon and I still haven't showered or dressed yet. Hope tomorrow starts off better than today. CYL

gOOd morning,my dears!
I really don't have any ideas where yesterday goes! Was so hot that I procrastinated most of the day, wasting time in watching TV (in my defence it's the final of the season for lots of things I watch). Oh, and Ironically but I also listened multiple times
Matt Bellamy's new song, which which verse is "Don't you waste" and I'm pretty sure he has mean: don't you waste your time.
But I have big plans for today, so hope on better result!

Chris, "I admit I get very happy when I clean and actually *see* a difference when I am done", we are at the same team! :high5: Enjoy your treats, I'm sure that Arlene and Leah are more happy to be able to give it, then if they was got some gift! I understand your wish to answer back, but then this will not be a gift but exchange. I'm pretty sure that one thank you card will worth for them more than every other gift back.
Hehe, don't even ask me how much fur I collected behind the furniture. I keep everything on few centimetres away from the walls so you can put there the vacuum cleaner tube, but it's not the same as to move it and can wash. I was so satisfied, only you can understand me LOL ! Your kids are so fun! It's such a shame that none of us understand Italian properly, I love their music so much! And every time when Angelica post something new, have to google did she is post the lyric, so to use google, to tell me what is it about. But when I listen her between the songs, I pretend and sometimes almost can understand, by her face and voice expressing for what she talks about!

Nancy, it's sounds as a lovely walk! I'm not comment it, but saw and love your fairy town pages!

Trudy, EU also considering how trips to happens. But inside the country almost everything got back, with the new rule for distance of course. Theaters and concerts will be with only 30% public allowed and on open stages, but at least will have. My country at least have lots of antique theaters stages which now will be in great help. LOL you sounds as you have lots of fun with your cupboards project. Enjoy it!
Oh, yes my cats loves the new sunbathing arrangement! I think their behavior have such a bad impact on my, and was responsible (partly) for my laziness LO: !

Kay, I know excellent this state when your brain refuse to work before the morning coffee, even only to do this coffee LOL! I'm so silly! I saw your "You&Me" page on the small pics at the gallery and told: oh she is scrap page about Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, and I opened it and recognize you, but not Bill, so I was: 'Wait is that Kay with Mr. Hanks?'. You are like a hollywood couple, my dear! And this dress, WOW!

Grateful for
sun and sunbathing (but will be more grateful for rain instead LOL )
family (human and pet)

Ok, I think now it's time to rise and shine, lazy daisy! Have a lovely day my dears!

PS. Thank you for the kind words, as you see I'm trying totally to ignore this part, as it was hard to believe and sad enough for us, I shouldn't share it here and makes you sad too. My apologies!
