The sun is out again-- that is 3 days in a row!!!!! :bliss:
That makes me so happy!
yesterday was actually almost 70*'s! Today is going to be the same. Guess what I get to do? Play in the dirt!!! *happy happy*!

Yesterday, I cleaned for my client, but it was pretty nice out so I planted the hydrangea I got for Mother's Day from my Godson, and put the snap pea seedlings in. I also ripped out a couple of plants that I *know* are weeds, but there are a few more that I have no clue what they are. I have no recollection from year to year what new stuff I have put in or moved. I think I am going to take a picture of them, and upload it to Google Image Search to see if I can get a match.

Gary also (finally!) got the garden soil into the planter box so I can get tomatoes in. Scott put in a long day at work, but I asked him some questions about plants and red lily leaf beetles, and he had some good suggestions about putting down diatomaceous earth, which I would not have thought of. Last year I spent a long time scraping the eggs and larvae and then the beetles themselves off of the leaves, but I still lost all of my lilies. I looked at the lilies and no sign yet, but they will be coming up soon. They winter in the soil, and as soon as it warms up enough, here comes the infestation :(

Caitlyn got her new corset in yesterday for her prom dress and it is gorgeous! It is gunmetal grey with lace over it and a small silver chain along the top part. She is going to wear that with the same skirt and shoes that she wore to Brendan's prom 2 years ago. He had his interview yesterday (yup, I had to drive to the high school *again* argh!!) and was Approved to go as a guest. So silly.

Scott is really excited- he hasn't had a pet of his own since his rats died 4 years ago, and then Merlin our/his cat who died in 2014.- and he is getting an albino garter snake. Airmailed to our house today. We don't have anything to really give to him for his birthday so I offered to give him $ to put towards the snake. Since he is coming airmail, Scott said that I could pay for his Airline Ticket.ha!!!

Because there was no way I was going to simply give him the cash, I found an airline ticket template, edited it to include the snake's name (ATM it is Sneky McSnekface :pound:) and destination, printed out a ticket and gave it to him.

So there is some good news in the Faery House, which is always something to hold on to. Not to mention, no one wants to hear me  all of the time.

:D

Hope that you all have a fan-tabulous day!

I don't like "today" at all:
It’s Clean Up Your Room Day! Have you been avoiding your spring-cleaning this year? Today is the day to get motivated! Whether you decide to tackle a messy closet, a mounting pile of laundry, a whole room, or even the entire house, it’ll be well worth the effort.
The tradition of spring-cleaning dates back to the days when people relied on fire to light and heat their homes through the winter. After months of being shut up with no fresh air, everything in the house would be covered in soot and ash. Spring-cleaning traditionally took place on the first warm day of the season. The entire family would roll up their sleeves and move all the furniture and linens outdoors. They would then clean the house from top to bottom, scrubbing down the walls, beating the dirt out of the carpets, and dusting everything in sight.
Begin your spring-cleaning by putting things away in their proper places and creating piles for trash and donations. Once you’ve decluttered it will become much easier to do the actual vacuuming, dusting, and scrubbing. When you’ve completed your project, remember to reward yourself for all your hard work! Happy Clean Up Your Room Day!

That is NOT a fun day! *pout*

Morning! Here I was thinking I might beat you to the punch ... but no. I'm actually online at home, working on a few things before I run an errand and then into work. Chris - a snake?! Eeekkk!! You're braver than me to have that in the house, or even near the house! Cait's corset sound stunning -- photos? Will she let you share?

Cindy- I really loved seeing the goodies that you got for iNSD, wish I had time/motivation to shop.
My SIL and godson are at Disney this week, hope that it isn't too hot for them the whole time. The heat doesn't bother me, it is the cold that gets me. Although Scott's very first trip to Disney we went the week after Labor Day and it was 100* at times. As long as I didn't worry about my makeup sweating off, I was OK, but poor hubs was not.
That is awesome that your and David enjoy spending down time together. How long have you been married?

When I was in college in Central PA- I missed good NJ pizza, bagels and pasta. The only pasta the stores had were spaghetti and elbows.

Trudy- what wonderful Mother's Day gifts. I wish that could all have been with you too. How is the vertigo today? Any better? How long does it take for the meds to start working? Hugs!!!
I feel bad for that dog at the park, he is so cute but jumps on people, nonstop. And nope, the glove did not survive. As soon as he took off with it, another dog started chasing, they decided to tug. i went over and gave the Drop command. Unsuccessful. The glove tore in half and went right into the garbage. It wasn't a good pair but still.and again- not mad at the dog, how can he know how to behave when no one tells him what is ok or not? hmmmph! Not that Jaida is a perfect angel, esp when Gary encourages her to jump on him grrrr, but when she does something wrong, we redirect her and if that doesn't work, we tell her NO!

Rae- sorry that you didn't get to see your oldest but at least you had the other! Hope that Jen is feeling better today.
Were you ever able to find a program for Bailey to use on her computer?
Yup- some dog owners are just like some parents at the playground- either their kid/dog "didn't do it" or they are so busy talking and not watching.

have a good one, my lOves!

Good morning Kat!
I am sure that she will share pics- she tried it on yesterday but we didn't lace the back up tight (that is an exercise of strength - i broke into a sweat 2 years ago!), so the top was sagging.
If i listed all of the pets we have had-- fishing spider, DeKays snake, rats (5), praying mantis (2), and now Cait is rescuing 2-3 rats as soon as they are old enough tto leave the mom-- no one would ever come into my house again for fear of what insanity they woudl fin.d

Oh. Wait. They probably feel that way w/o knowing what pets we have!

good morning! I am back in NJ after 2 weeks in AZ looking and finding birds. And we found over 190 different species. I did not see all of them as there were some hikes that I just was not willing to attempt but the guys did. All I can say is southeast AZ is gorgeous and a totally different environment that Phoenix and Yuma where I grew up. We were up by 6am and did not get back to the hotel until 9pm. We did take a break for lunch lol. We walked a lot but we also did what Doug called comfort birding which is sitting in areas with multiple bird feeders. They were awesome to see the hummingbirds come. I was so busy that I never even got to see my family. I am now going to have to get back into my routine. Luther was alone a lot and he did chew up some things. But he is happy now that I am home (at least that is how I feel). We did our morning walk and he is now sleeping.

Waving to all and will try to catch up over the days to come!

Morning ladies... the sun is shining again today and my Vertigo is so much better today :bliss: Hope to go swimming this morning, but will see what I feel like in a couple of hours. I worry that when I do the flip at the other end of the pool I might not know which way is up and drown :becky:

Chris - You are a much braver woman than I am having all those creatures in your house!! I used to have mice when I was very young, but sadly the cat got hold of them and that was that, I was too horrified to ever try to have them again. I also would bring garter snakes home in a box when I was little, much to my Mother's dismay, but they were never allowed inside the house and actually they smelled so I couldn't blame her for not wanting them around. So we stuck to cats and dogs and we had many of them over the years! Spiders... NEVER!!!! I would never be able to sleep at night knowing there was a spider in the house!! :fear: Cait's corset sounds lovely and like the others I will be expecting to see pics of your beautiful daughter wearing it!! As for my Vertigo meds, well they take about three days before the dizzy spells subside, but the dam ringing in my ears never seems to really go away and it is driving me crazy!! There must be something that will make that stop without losing my hearing all together :noidea: Clean up your room day? Well that doesn't sound like much fun does it !! Have fun digging in the dirt today!!

Kat - Morning hope you get your errands done and have a great day at work today!

Nancy - Welcome back!! Sounds like you had an awesome time on your trip!! Hope Luther did not destroy anything important!! I bet he missed you terribly!! Looking forward to seeing the photos and pages from this wonderful trip!! Back to reality and the day to day chores of being at home, but its always good to be back home and in your own bed!

Rae - Sounds like your Mother's Day was a good one also! Hope that your oldest daughter gets to visit with you soon and that your youngest is feeling much better!! With any luck your work schedule won't be to large today and you can get out and enjoy some of this lovely sunshine today!!

Waiting for a call from DD and Mason on Skype and then off to the pool hopefully, oh and I finally got my birthday gift from my son yesterday, it is a beautiful new easel and I just love it!!! How spoiled am I !!! Have a fabulous day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. I expect a really busy day today. I've got lots of work coming and we'll be popping out this afternoon for some dog walking. I need to be focused and stay on top of things if I want to be mostly finished work by 3:30 when I take the dogs to the river. We watched 3 episodes of The Good Wife last night so tonight I can watch the finale. I'll miss that show.

Chris - glad it warmed up there a bit. Eek about the snake, although I am more creeped out by bugs and spiders but still...a snake in the house would give me the willies LOL.

Trudy - how lovely to get the easel! Glad the vertigo is improving.

Nancy - you must have had so much fun and I bet you got some amazing photos! Bet Luther is glad to be home. I always find that as much as Taz loves to visit our trailer he is always happy to come home so he can relax and catch up on his naps.

Kat - have a good workday.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
