GooOd morning, O-zies! I read an article on the Atlantic this morning about how the pandemic is messing with your brain and memory. The author called it "microdoses of stress." That really seems to sum it up, both good stress and bad stress. I woke up with a mild anxiety attack at 4 am this morning, triggered by something in a dream. I don't remember what the dream was about but it was enough to keep me from getting back to sleep at all. I am going to need more coffee today than usual.
At least the sun is shining and it isn't supposed to be too cold- 50* today. Nice! Tomorrow is going to be about the same and the kids are having their 2 best friends over to hang by the fire in the afternoon. They might need to walk through some snow but I bet they aren't going to care that much.
I have more good vaccine news to share! Gary got his first dose last night too!!! One of Cait's best friends works at a CVS and called Caitlyn at 7 pm to see if she was available to get a shot before 8 pm. They had a leftover dose that was going to need to be trashed otherwise. She had classes until 8.30 and couldn't go, so the friend asked if Gary wanted it. He almost didn't go at first. I gave him the "WTF?? Look "and he went. *G* Now he is going to be set too. We just have to get the kids taken care of at some point and things will be better.
One of the tips that has been suggested in getting an appt on the CVS website is to click on any of the states, see if there is an opening, and then search with your zip code. I was looking for Gary yesterday morning and clicked on FL. I was shocked at how different the eligibility requirements were there. I know that it was up to the states how to distribute them but I guess I didn't realize how different.

I finished my shopping order and I think I only cursed once or twice. My pickup is tomorrow so whether I get everything I need or not is a different story. This afternoon, Gary and I have phone appts with our LLMD. I hope that she is on time, or close to it. The last time Gary had a phone appt, she was running so late that she ended up rescheduling it to the next day. One of the benefits (I think) of not having to be in the office is that waiting at home isn't as bad- but-- you might not get the appt time you had booked.

I have to go make sure Cait is awake, back soon!

Well, Caitlyn is awake but does not seem happy about it. She was busy with classes and meetings and papers the entire day yesterday. Today she has a ton of work to do in the morning and has two Drs appts in the afternoon. It never ends, does it? ;)

@felis what a beautiful #IWD card! Back at you as well! xo

@taxed4ever Did you make it through yesterday ok with that bad night's sleep? Hope that you slept much better last night.
I am laughing at your description of the hickey games between you and Nancy :D
It is good that you have so many siblings-IL to check in with to get a decent report on the IL's health. It is just me and my brother and they keep a lot from him too. pfft. Scott and I were laughing over the card game yesterday and he reminded me what the saying was and OMG, I had blanked it out of my brain for a reason ROTFLMAO!!!!!! I think he is going to take that naughty card out of the Parent-Approved section and move it to the Not For Parents' Section.

@BrightEyes What a lovely day you must have had with the temps that warm! Did you open all of the windows up? I can't wait to be able to do that. Take care of that foot, good to hear that you are keeping it up. Don't push yourself trying to get everything done before Thursday, everything other than food can wait. The one "bad" thing about Gary and I getting our shots one day apart is that if we both feel poorly after the second one, guess who is going to be expected to still be on her feet? Hmmph. Nah, even if we are both down, the kids can handle everything, like order pizza. :D

@Cherylndesigns Cards against Humanity is an awful game. It is bad enough even with the *really* bad cards pulled out but we have a lot of fun. I could never imagine playing this type of game with my parents, nope not even a bit. Old-fashioned, traditional to the core, Catholic-Italians. It explains a LOT, doesn't it? heh
Your family is so much fun, it has to make some of the sticky situations like no water much easier to cope with.
The old HOA sounds like they were on a power trip. White flowers and over the edge of a driveway? Really. SMH.
Dictator CiCi (CeCe? I can't remember!- CeCe looks right but I dunno!) is much more fun to deal with, bet you can "bribe" her with a hug. Hope you had a nice dinner with the fam.

@nancyr for real.... every day should be a day for women. Without us, there would be no *waves arms around* hehe.
Anna's classes must be fascinating to watch, I should treat myself to one if only to wake that part of my brain up a bit.
What kinds of pasta did you make? LOL- I think that Trudy would have something to say if the Devils only played the Bruins!
I am counting the days until I can get hugs! The friend that let Caitlyn know about the leftover vaccine also got her shot yesterday too so I told Caitlyn to let her know that the next time I see her, I am hugging her again too!! I am very lucky that Caitlyn's friends like me. haha!

Hey Cheryl, didja get a paise raise with your promotion? :p

Good morning everybody!!

Chris @faerywings you crack me up! Hardly any swearing putting your order in. BWAHAHA You should hear me! I'm trying to do better, but sometimes I may or may not slip.

No, I did NOT get a raise with my promotion. And it's Cici - don't ask. When Adrienne was pregnant with her first, she announced that I was not a "grandma" so she made up Cici. My first two initials are CC so it was going to be C.C. then her best friend suggested Cici. Isn't that fascinating??? ROTF (insert imaginary emoji here). All of the adults around here call me Cici, too. It's pretty funny. Oh, and all of the kids friends always have, too.

I'm sure our ornery, rowdy crowd would like Cards Against Humanity. We played something rowdy the other night - I don't even remember what it was but it got out of control. Of course, if anything "suggestive" can be made out of anything it will be. It was good to have everybody home! SIL's been back in Florida at his "real job" and Adrienne and Ava have been up in Michigan. We had a rousing family dinner last night.

I'm going to make it short because I got my two pages done last night - MY OFFICE - in the car and want to get them posted. I have to get back in "my office" again today and download two of the designers files from The O.

I have to tell you that I got a GSO!! I was so shocked when I opened my email this morning! Mine was the first one. It's a unicorn that was created on a silhouette for a challenge on another site. I'm so geeked!! If any of you get the "Finger Pointing" emails, be sure to check it out.

Waving to all and have a great day.

Good morning everyone! I am late getting in here today. I spent the morning working on Sister-In-Law Linda's Birthday Card and then because it is such an odd size I had to figure out an envelope for it. I do make extra work for myself LOL. Here is what it looks like.IMG_1167.jpegIMG_1168.jpegIMG_1169.jpeg if you double click on the images it will show the full size, but I am sure you all know that already LOL. Then I got a face time call from Heather and Hunter, which was really nice as we chatted about some of the improvements that they want to do in their very small kitchen. They would love to move to a larger house, but right now there are only two places for sale and the prices are astronomical! So this might be the better way to go for them for awhile. This afternoon I will be getting my hair cut and coloured, it will be nice to just relax in the chair and have someone to talk to other than my DH ;).

@faerywings - I did make it through the day without a nap yesterday, I tried to go back to bed, but nope, there was no way I was going to fall asleep again. So I ended up having a really nice long hot bath. Went for a long walk in the afternoon and soaked up some sunshine, it was very nice! Last night I slept like a baby! I know that my kids when they are together they play Cards against Humanity, but I don't think they would play it with their Dad and I LOL. How great that your Gary was able to get his vaccination! Nice of Caitlyn's friend to think of your family! It would have been a shame to have to through out that extra dose! How is your arm feeling today? It must be such a relief to know that you have gotten your vaccine, now for the second dose! I am hoping that by the time we get ours, we will be able to get the Johnson and Johnson one and only have the one shot in the arm!

@BrightEyes - Hope that you were able to enjoy that lovely weather you got yesterday! How did your Dr. Appt. go? Hope all is well! Sorry that your darn foot is giving you grief again! Wow nice long chat with your DD! Must have been good to talk and catch up!

@Cherylndesigns - Had to giggle over you being the "Dictator of The HOA" too funny! How nice to have your Son-In-Law helping you out with the cement stair! Congrats on the Lounge chair too, how nice will it be to sit out there and just soak up the beautiful sunshine! I am white as a ghost too, sure looking forward to summer and going to the lake and lounging around on the deck in the sun!

@nancyr - Yes your Devils made our team look bad! Not sure what it is about playing against the Devils that just makes them skate and pass so badly! No you are not allowed to only play the Bruins LOL. How nice that you are all getting your vaccinations so quickly, it will be at least another month or two before we are able to get ours . Are you still getting your Blue Apron Dinners? Your pasta dish sounds yummy, sure wish I could eat pasta again, but my stomach does not cooperate.

@Cherylndesigns - Congrats on your GSO!! I will check it out for sure!

Ok best get some lunch ready for my DH and then get some make up on before going to get my hair done. Have a great day everyone!

Hello again. Trudy @taxed4ever thanks so much on the GSO! I'm thrilled of course - that's something for that blog to see something they like. I was asked to be a member, but had to turn it down - I already have enough on my plate. Those ladies have to cull through SO many galleries!!

My double page layout is in the Cheery O Gallery - @taxed4ever @faerywings @felis @LSlycord @BrightEyes @nancyr and for anybody else who has gotten a laugh out of the shenanigans I have to go through to download files. You all told me to let you know. Didn't mean to leave anybody out!!

Gotta go, the car is waiting to take me to my office. You'll see how "out in the boondocks" we are. That place I go is pretty rickety looking, but it was the most booming place before covid.

Bye

Hello, girls!

First I have to say that, sorry but I'm disagree with you, Nancy! I don't see what disturbed you into the womens day except some feminism suspicious. But we don't have valentine's day and not have mothers day, and we need this one day to celebrate the strong women that admire! And to get gifts without necessarily to be someones' mother or lover! I like it much! But of course it could be because of the habit.
We didn't celebrate anyway. My aunt called to inform us that my moms best friend feeling really sick after her vaccination and now is tested for As my aunt is been with her she don't think it's good idea to meet with us before results to come. We had quiet and not much festive dinner. But dad was give his try, ordering food, so mom to not cook. Also kids at her work was bring flowers for her, and now my kitchen smells lovely on hyacinths!
I'm sure that our friend have just a regular flu, which is also very common now. But we can't be completely calm. I don't know what vaccines you have and why they are so much better than these here?! But doctors explained that she will go thru the illnes lightly and can't spread it to others, but she is have to follow the restriction even after vaccination. I can't see much sense in that! But is fact that after restaurants reopen they was full yesterday, people are thirsty for fun.

Chris, why you surprised that your parents hide things from you, when they know that you are worrier?! Sorry to hear that you have trouble with the sleep again! I watched multiple videos to find why I'm continued to wake up at night too, but nothing seems related to me. It's really a pit and don't help to my mood at all!

OMG, Cheryl, your 'office' actually looks like is in very pretty green place. Probably is strange to get so frustrated on place that predispose to calm? What a view! :D

Trudy, Absolutely love this card! Is springy and the wall is just like mine. LOL! Oh it would be nice if they move at big house! And can even get new dog (I'm just whisper it) LOL! :p;)

Sorry that I'm in so cranky mood today!
I'll promise tomorrow will come with something fun!
Wave to the other!

Well, today was not like it was forecast to be... suppose to be 70 and sunny... and it won't get that warm. It was 45 with spitting rain when I left for my doc's appt at 10:20 AM. Of course I had to wear a short-sleeve top - for blood pressure check - with a cardigan over it... and sandals with no sock so she could check for no swelling and feet/ankles. Was so glad to get home and change into warmer pants and sweatshirt along with socks on the feet.
Finally back home at 2 PM. The doctor was so glad to see me and see that all is doing fine with the Blood Pressure. It has been a year since I have seen her in person. Stopped by the public library and dropped off a couple of books and picked up 1 that was on hold. They are changing their hours starting next week so grabbed a bookmark with the new hours on it. Then over to Sam's Club for a couple of things and a stop at Smith's to catch the sale on some grapes, apples, etc. Had a busy afternoon yesterday. Got my bill from Visa and had a huge shock.... I mailed the payment back on 2/15 and they didn't get it until 3/1!!!! So, I had a late charge. Ran over to the Credit Union after my doctor's appointment and paid it in person. Will be doing that from now on!!!

Gotta get my foot back up and relax for the rest of the afternoon. CYL

good evening - wow today was the first day I only needed to wear a sweat shirt instead of my down coat. No hat or gloves. It was gorgeous! Poor Luther is having a hard time these days with walking on the streets, he limps but as soon as he gets on grass or a side walk he is fine. Not sure what this is all about. We have checked his paws and cant see anything. But he loves the walks so we go and I love the walks. It will be so nice next weekend when we go to daylight savings. More sunlight at the end of the day. I cant wait. Heard from my SIL and she wants to visit this summer. She is vaccinated so should be no problem. That will be fun something to look forward to. Got a txt from my son's MG and she is setting up a painting party for her daughter's birthday. That should be fun. Again all will be vaccinated but the kids and the parents had Covid so they are ok. So it is nice to be able to do this. It is not until late April so hoping restrictions will be even less. Heard very sad news. When we first got Luther and I went on walks, the first German Shepherd I met was Magnum. He and Luther played really well. His owner and my DH often met early morning at a field. Well my DH had not seen them in a long time. Well turns out he (the owner Bob) went to the hospital with breathing problems. His organs just quit and he died. It is so sad as his son says Magnum is still searching for him. Not sure if Covid or pneumonia. Which ever it is sad. Oh yea watching my Devils lose to the Capitals 4-1. Oh well.

@faerywings Chris that is awesome about Gary getting his vaccine. I am glad you gave him the look. It is just shameful that vaccine must be thrown away. That was just so awesome that she thought to call you! The weather is awesome, glad that the kids can now meet outside. I saw crocuses today!

@taxed4ever Trudy that birthday card is just gorgeous. Do you print scrapping stuff or is this stuff from a scrapping like Michaels. You are so talented. I can see why you are asked to make cards for the whole family! Glad you had a nice walk. It is good to get out. Yes still making my Blue Apron dinners. It just makes it so easy. I don't have to think. And it is stuff I would never go and select at the like red quinoa. We have a new bakery in our town that is just keto, vegan and gluten free. From people I have talked to they say the food tastes great. There is often a line to get in in the am.

@BrightEyes Kay when you said you did not get home until 2 pm from the Dr. I thought wow hope the wait was not long but instead you were a busy bee! Sorry it did not get that warm. I bet the socks on feet felt good when you got home!

@Cherylndesigns I have asked my son about that card game and I really don't think they want to play it with me. They would not care as I think they think their dad is a bit crasser than I am. LOL.

@felis - you always make me smile. Of course there should be a day to honor all the important contributions made by women. What bothers me and I guess I am a feminist. Men don't need a special day to honor their contributions that is done every day and taken for granted. So I just want women and men to be treated equally. It is like we should be grateful that we get one day to recognize all that women do. Ok enough of me on my soap box. Hope you are starting to see spring flowers. Hope your mother's friend feels better and you can meet.

waving to all!

;) @nancyr I have to admit that I'm not sure the first reason this to start celebrate so big here, BUT with Children's Day, International Workers' Day, Slavonic Literature Day, Day of the National Revival Leaders. I don't feel it as underestimate, as 'hey let's admit the women for a day', but it's more like 'hey let's women's pay the drinks at one day'. But of course, this totally sounds like evil secsist plan.
