Well, my day ended up changing... got a call from Son-in-law #1 just after 10AM. He was in Santa Fe but his eye screenings work there got cancelled for the day due to the snow. So he called to see if I was up for a visit! Oh, YES!!! haven't seen him for several months - so told him to come on down (just about an hour's drive). I cancelled out on the RH lunch as I told the gal who was going to give me a ride there... "family comes first". She certainly understood. It was so wonderful to see him and get caught up on news of the family. He had a couple more visits to make here before heading back to Santa Fe this evening. He has another day of screenings to do there before flying home tomorrow. He and DD#1 will be here the end of the month for his continuing ed hours so will more time to see him again soon. I know that DD#1, DD#3 and I will have plenty to talk about all weekend!
I did enjoy my chefs salad for lunch even if I ate it by myself. His visit lifted my spirits so much!!!
Yes, I create jewelry to wear with a lot of the clothing I made for myself. I have lots of beads and other jewelry-supplies so can usually find colors and styles of items to make unique jewelry that compliments the clothes and/or costumes I make.
@tanteva - Sounds like you really need to be seen by a Dr... SOON!
@Cherylndesigns I have more than enough 'western' style clothes in my closet along with several pairs of cowboy boots! Don't need to be tempted to add more to my wardrobe!!! LOL DH talked me into my favorite Tony Lama boots many years ago and they still look and feel as good as new... and I had added a few more pairs over the years. I also have several 'western' outfits in purple and red for my Red Hatting outings/conventions. Plus others in various colors. One of my favorites is a long ankle length flared blue denim skirt with snaps up the front along with a western shirt or tee and concho belt. It is much cooler to wear in the summer than pants. And, yes.... I do have a few western style hats. Not that I dress in 'western' style all the time... as I love several different clothing styles and wear them as the occasion calls for them. Do I dare mention that I have some cut fringe in leather strips that I bought when a western clothing manufacture was closing their plant here. Can't remember what colors I have... as it was a few years ago. I also picked up some unique fabrics, trims and buttons from them. Their clothing was sold in very-upscale western stores in Santa Fe and some Texas stores. It was nice I could make my own creations that looked very-upscale and $$$! Maybe I should take another look in those fabric bins . . . who knows if Covid dies down I may be going out and about more. hahahaha
