I saw a meme about it being the last day of March 2020, the month where everyone aged 50 years. That sounds about right. :pound:
Did you smile a bit at that? Remember that laughter is the best medicine.
Stress relief from laughter? It's no joke
Laughter is the best medicine
Go ahead and give it a try. Turn the corners of your mouth up into a smile and then give a laugh, even if it feels a little forced. Once you've had your chuckle, take stock of how you're feeling. Are your muscles a little less tense? Do you feel more relaxed or buoyant? That's the natural wonder of laughing at work
Take a breathe, let it out. Smile. Another breath...
And check out these memes:

How is that? Feel a bit lighter? I do!

I was in a much better mood yesterday. Not in a great mood but better. I was to TSP the walls then primed the areas that needed it. Oil-based paint is the pits. It is so sticky. I tossed the brush and roller. I used old ones so not a big loss but I didn't want to have to deal with the turpentine outside. Can't clean them inside since we have a septic tank.
That took a while in the morning. Then I shampooed and blew my hair straight. That takes a while too but has to be done since my hair will be in a ponytail from now until whenever. Long curly hair is the pits when it gets scraggly. But I loooooove ponytails LOL

Someone posted on my town's FB an online puzzle game website- jigsawplanet.com and I wasted way too much time on there but whatever. heh. I got a part of a project done in the morning so the afternoon was mine. Then I cooked a yummy dinner. Tomato, mozzarella cubes, olive oil, and garlic over linguine. I forgot that Scot thas classes and his class runs through dinner on M-W-Th. I am never going to get used to their "schedules."

Today I have to move all of the furniture and my china cabinet so I can paint all of the walls. That is it for the day. I need to take stock of my food. There are absolutely no open spots for grocery pick-ups which is insane. Nothing in the next 2 weeks. Yikes.
At some point, I am going to run out of TP!

Gratitudes:
-my mom and my dad have been going for walks together every couple of days
-silly dogs
-that if we have to live on noodles with butter and cheese we can do that for a while :p

Hope everyone has a fantastic day.

Rae- We watched NCIS:LA last night and it seems like they are getting ready to do a lot of character turnover? I am really glad that you are able to keep working, even if it isn't a full schedule. How is Jen feeling today?
Good luck with the dieting/watching carbs. I know how much better you feel when you eat healthily. Are Farmer's Markets going to be open? I hope that they will be here. I'd rather be outdoors shopping than inside the store. MY eating habits haven't changed yet, but I am finding that I am running the dishwasher much more often with the kids home 24/7.
My mom and my Sis-in-Law said the same, low-key funky down mood. The weather here (cold and rainy) is not helping at all.
Love you!!!!

Trudy- What a pretty avi!!! I should change mine, someday LOL Yay for a better mood!!!!! That is the cutest thing- baby yodas! Make sure you share a pic with us when you get yours. How awesome to get on a pretty hike, your Gary's knees helped up ok? Congrats on another sale.
I am worried about running out of eggs soon. Are you still able to get eggs from SIL? I would trade you oil and flour for eggs in a heartbeat! haha

Nancy- OMG! Yes!! Why do they all have to be in my teeny tiny kitchen at the same time! And then Ray, she *has* to be in the kitchen under my feet. 4 adults and 2-3 dogs is too much in an 8'x5' space. :frusty:
How long have they been at home FT now? It has been since March 12 here. Hope they all get into a routine soon for you. So happy to hear that you are loving this season of Outlander. Can't wait for it. Plus Book 9.
Great news that your sister can work from home.
Yes, you are totally right about giving ourselves some slack. As you all know, it is a tough thing for me on a good day. If we can each remind each other to do that, be gentle with ourselves, I am sure we will be better at it.

Sending hugs to all of you!!! xoxoxoxo!!

Good very late morning everyone! The sun is out and there is fresh snow on the mountain tops. It looks so pretty, but very happy that it is up high and not here on the ground. So a very chilly morning. I hope it warms up a bit so I can get out for a short walk and get the mail. I got what I needed to do here yesterday done. Except for making a page :mmph: I will give it another try today! I did get a bit of painting accomplished, but today I think I might watch a movie while having my lunch. I haven't really been watching too much tv. DH always falls asleep during the shows we try to watch at night, so I end up shutting it off and browse the internet instead. Usually watching painting videos on youtube LOL. Poor DH is getting worn out from the extra work. I wish he would just retire already!! Even if it means we might have to sell out house, it would be worth it I think. Not that anyone is looking at buying houses right now LOL. I had a really fun facetime with the boys this morning and Mason and I played the "Guess Who" game together. We both got it delivered yesterday, so that was fun, the little stinker beat me 5 games in a row LOL. Then Isaac and Sadie called and we had a great talk too! Their Mom had to work today, she had to cover for someone who has gotten the virus, but only had to be in the office for today attending a bunch of meetings. I doubt that she will be anywhere near where the person who got sick was. (fingers crossed!). I imagine that the meetings will be virtual also.

Chris - Thanks for the memes!! They made me chuckle!! Love the ball with the teeth, OMG how hilarious! So nice to hear that your mom and dad are getting out for walks! I need to call the In-laws today and see how they are doing. I was checking my hair today and so far the roots are not too bad, glad I got my hair done right before all of this craziness!! Might have to trim DH's hair pretty soon, but that shouldn't be too difficult. I wonder if mine will get long enough to put into a ponytail?? I haven't had long hair like that for many years! I will post a pic of the baby yoda when it is done for sure! Yes Gary's knees held up for our little hike, he said he could feel them for sure, but they weren't too bad. Do I believe that?? :mmph: Thanks for liking my new AVI, I think that I look a bit stunned in it LOL but I don't have that many photos of myself.

Nancy - I bet that having the guys around all the time is really putting a Kibosh on your daily routine!! Yes I think that DH and I will probably be putting on some weight also! I miss my swimming and its no fun to hike alone. Especially now that Bears have been sighted on many of the trails around here. Yes I really liked that last episode of Outlander and remember this next part from the book. I hope that they don't stray too much from this part of the book! Hope that the guys don't drive you too crazy today and that you get out for a lovely walk with Luther!

Ok I better get a few things done around here, bathrooms need cleaning :mmph: not my favourite job for sure! Sure hope I can get a page scrapped today too, my mojo is out the window! Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning ladies. Talked to Jen last night and she is starting to feel a bit better. She's awake longer and starting to eat more. Talked to B last night and she understands why we can't see her right now so is happy to talk on the phone every day with us, sometimes twice. Plus she chats with Jen once or twice a day too. The caretaker is being great with her, she got her some more puzzles and word search books to do until we can get to her and bring more.

Today I brought out my 50 mm lens and too some pics of Taz to scrap with. Snapped a few of D too (he hates getting his photo taken but indulged me). I will start taking more Taz and food photos during this isolation time. Haven't done that for awhile.

Chris - its fun to get lost in a game. Works you brain and destresses you. D is doing tons of crosswords every day.

Hope everyone is healthy and finding ways to destress and deal with the isolation. I feel better now that I'm not watching the news. It was just too much overload. Now I watch in the morning for a few minutes and then in the evening for a few minutes, that's it.

I told Jen to watch The Daily Show on Youtube. All the Trump stuff will get her laughing but in general, Trevor Noah is just so entertaining no matter what he talks about. Watched James Corben special last night and enjoyed it.

Today is work, laundry and doing some meal planning and pantry sorting.

Reading a good book, The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter.

Have a good day, BFN.

Good morning, Trudy. We cross-posted. Love the new Avi, that is a great color for you! You look great. I'm getting back on plan today. Somehow during this pandemic my weight has crept up another 6 lbs so time to get back on track. No more stress eating.

good late afternoon - I am being sucked into a Big Little Lies season 2. HBO is showing season 2 all in a row this afternoon. I watched season one and it was good so I am glad I am seeing season 2. Had a nice long talk with my sister. She says it is weird to be doing it from home. She is not sure how it will work. She said that her daughter is getting her groceries and stuff. That is awesome. Got out for a long walk with Luther. We saw the usual birds and the park was wet after all the rain and no sun. Yes no sun again and it is damp and chilly. I did do something while out on the walk with Luther. He was limping and my DH was not sure why and I said it was the harness he was wearing was too loose and it was irritating his skin as he has gotten really itchy. Well my DH did not believe me but he took off the harness to make it tighter and right away his limp went away. My DH changed it today but it still is making him itch. So glad I could help Luther. My DH picked up Luther's meds and they did not allow people inside unless the pet was to be seen. Good for them. My DH did cook last night so that was a treat. Not much else to day. I will be cooking tonight.

Chris love the memes. Thanks for the smiles. Glad you are getting your painting done. I am sure it will be awesome!

Trudy how fun to be able to talk to the grandkids. And how fun you both played Who am I. We loved that game when my kids were young. Good luck finding your mojo. All I can say is the heart I saw on FB was spectacular and that is awesome mojo.

Rae so glad Jen is better! That is great news. The caretaker for B sounds so terrific and glad you get talk every day.

Waving to all
Grateful to have a DH that helps
Grateful for you all!

Sounds like a lot of us feeling the stress and eating too many carbs. So far we are fine but twitchy feeling. Saw a Song Sparrow in the yard today, first here this spring.

Chris, thanks as always for the exercises. And today the chuckles from the memes were great. Did you see in another thread that Kay was home from the hospital dealing with high BP? Wishing her better days!

Waving to everyone from our distance!
